Several days this pool was under maintenance and the pool manager, Lily offered to drive me to another hotel pool to do my workout. Everyone was pleasant, except sometimes an outside attendant does not know how to greet westerners. One saw me with a rental electric unicycle and didn't know how to politely deal with this unusual situation and I felt I was treated as a hotel customer. He simply waved me over like he was the boss.

The room is fantastic although it will be a bit far from the station but still is assessible. The hotel is grand and beautiful. But when we check in, we found that we have repeat a few times about our rooms. They are already confirmed by email why do we have to spend so much time to explain. Afterall, the services are specticular.

Dear all, Since my wife and I travel most of the days throughout a year, we have stayed in different Accorhotels overseas or in Other city. However, the Guangzhou Sofitel is a terrible experience, I am so dissatisfied with the breakfast that provided on the 2nd floor. The food there were cold and the refill of the food is not in time. The first day of stay, we went to the Cafe early in the morning, and I was supprised to find the some of the dishes were totally get cold already, and I asked for a cup of americano then the waiter offer me a hot espresso? The same thing happened also on the second day. I went to different Sofitel each year, and this is the worst experience that I have ever have. Mostly i prefer the executive lounge , this time we booked a normal room and with the breakfast at Cafe. As your hotel is a brand with a good reputation, how can you treat your customers with different food service? I’m totally upset with this experience. Hope hear from your reply. Regards, C.

I stayed three days with the Sofitel Guangzhou Sunrich in early January. I love this hotel because of its location, excellent and professional Executive Lounge service, and the hotel facilities. The hotel is just 3 kilometres away from the Railway East Station. People from Hong Kong will find it convenient if they take Through-Train from Hunghom, Kowloon to Guangzhou but too far from the Railway South Station (22 kilometres away from hotel) by High-Speed Train. However, the hotel is not near the Metro taking at least 15 minutes there on foot. Taxi seems to be the better means of transport. I enjoyed very much my stay with this hotel. The Reception, the Lobby Bar and the overall service of the Restaurant on the 2nd Floor for breakfast were not too impressive but I was deeply impressed by the professional service of the staff working in the Executive Lounge. They made me feel like at home. Taking this opportunity, I should appreciate it if the Hotel Management would convey my sincere gratitude and thanks to Icy, Amy, Crystal, Cyan, Hillary, Lettie, Albert and Jayden, as well as the waitress Clover of the Restaurant on 2/F. I also enjoyed the hotel facilities including the big swimming pool and gym. I had lunch in the hotel Chinese Restaurant and the French Restaurant, both food yummy and service very good. My room was on Executive Floor, spacious and clean, and bed comfortable. Overall speaking, I enjoyed thoroughly my stay and highly recommend this hotel. I will definitely be back upon my next visit to Guangzhou.

We have stayed 4 nights in Sofitel Guangzhou, nice to get a upgrade room as a golden membership in Accor club, very comfortable room, kind staff, beautiful lobby, it needs around 15-20 minutes walk to the metro station “Ti Yu XI Road” and 15 minutes to “Lin he XI road” station. Better take a bus or taxi. The buffet breakfast at the 2nd level have lots of choices, but something should be improved: cold ambiance (maybe the staffs are too busy to give a smile), some pastries are not very fresh (chocolate bread for example 2/4 days).

We were on a family short break and chosen Sofitel for our trip based on reviews and the location. The hotel did not disappoint with warm welcome, great service and comfortable room. We in particularly enjoyed the time in the swimming pool and the use of the restaurants. However, the wifi in the room was not good.

This trip is to celebrate my boyfriend's birthday and Natalie assisted to arrange some surprise for us. The room is ready upon arrival and the cake has been already set up inside. However I have to wait more then 10 minutes for check in and the keys got demagnetise when we came back to the Hotel which was around 2 am. Luckily the gentlemen in the lobby assisted to change it otherwise I have to queue again for the keys ( was a very long queue at 2 am). In addition, the Hotel forgot for the turndown service which made my champagne ice bucket completely melted and I have to call for the service again and the front office staff didn't understood what an ice bucket is.... Overall it was a nice experience with Natalie's assistant but the Hotel needs to consider about the staffing issue and the language improvement.

We were upgraded to a top floor suite because they ran out of twins. Staffs at front desk and Accord desk were extremely helpful. Erika Lai was particularly helpful and kind when we asked for a delayed check out. The top floor suite was top notch, nice and clean. Extra bed for my two kids were in good quality. We also enjoyed the two complementary drinks at the bar. The only thing was it was quite cold last night and the room has no heat. We asked for an extra blanket but it wasn't available. We were given a heater instead which was fine. However, the next morning when we tried to use the heater and the boiler at the same time the fuse went off. And it took around 45 mins for them to fix it.
