« Enjoyed my stay! »

Second time staying in this hotel because had a good stay during the first time. Chose to stay back at this hotel because the staff are friendly and helpful, the rooms are big and clean, the toilet is clean, the bed is comfortable. What I like most is the Ibis red pillow because it provides good head support :) Most important of all, the location of the hotel is awesome, very near Myeongdong shopping street and plenty of eating places nearby, so there is no lack of food and shopping! Highly recommend this hotel and will choose to stay in the hotel again on my next visit to Seoul.

It was raining hard on the 1st day when we arrived the hotel. But then we were comforted by the warm and sincere welcome by the checkin staff. Her English is good and works efficiently that we can get our room without waiting too much. The same comfortable experience when I check out. Different staff but same warm and sincere smiling. The impression was very nice until we have breakfast. The restaurant looks good but we wont come back here for breakfast anymore. Varieties were very little. Dishes were always empty and the refill was very slow, even the eggs and white bread. Everything was cut into small pieces, bacon, sausages, even the white bread got cut into half. It looks the restaurant is so mean to provide breakfast for customers. I have been staying in Ibis hotels in UK and had very good impressions. I cant believe my eyes when I saw this. Even if I come back to stay, I wont consider the breakfast.

« Great service and location »

The service was great! Email correspondence prior to check in was quick and helpful..Instruction to Check in on 19th floor was clearly written in the lobby. Check in process was done within a short time. Staffs at the check in counter and lobby were all very friendly. Requests for extra pillow was easy and pillow was promptly delivered. We also love the hot bath. It was well equipped and well maintained. However, due to aircon central control, we feel that the room temp was a bit high at 26deg. Although we were advise to open the window, it did not really help. We also think the pillow was too soft for our liking. Maybe IBIS could consider offering pillows of different firmness in future. Overall we are happy with the stay. Will definitely be back! Thank you very much!

« A very welcoming and comfortable experience. »

All the staff at Ibis was very attentive and spoke English fluently. When we arrived at the front desk on the ground floor very early in the morning the staff was able to inform us with no problems the check in procedures. The rooms and hotel facilities were very clean. The location of the hotel was superb and convenient.

« Probably my 20th stay - always very contented! »

Was happy to get an upgrade to a junior suite. The additional space was welcome. As always, the staff are efficient and friendly. Nice to see that the rooms have been touched-up i.e. new carpets, tv. Always my first choice of hotel in Seoul.

« Great location. That's all this hotel can offer. »

The room was dirty.. it badly needs refurbishing.. carpet was so dirty! There is no airconditioning, so if the heater gets too hot, you have to open the windows. And then you get all the noise outside, honking of cars, etc. They badly need training on customer service. They have a poster stating that they have a van to get you to the touristy places. Upon checking, it is not available because their van is broken.. then why was it still being posted in the first place? We opted to get the welcome drinks on our last day - but bar is closed on Sunday. And again, no effort of at least making it up to us. Since bar is closed, then we cannot get our welcome drinks. I have been in several Novotel hotels since I am an Accor member. This is the worst.

Basically I like the location. The Front office staff is friendly and do speak English pretty well. Even the Concierge team speaks pretty good English too. Breakfast is pretty ordinary as compare to Ibis Sapporo. Restaurant staff is kind of snobbish. Other than that, I am happy to stay in this Hotel.

The stay has been pleasant. The location is so convenient in Myeongdong. It is just less than 5 mins walk to Myeongdong street market. Along that street there are variation of shops and cafes as well as dining places if you decide to have a change from the street foods. Nanta show is just located at Unesco building that is nearby the hotel. Another point to note is the airport bus from and to airport stop in front of the hotel for 15k won. Very convenient. A complimentary note to the hotel staff that handle our complimentary shuttle to local tourist spot. On that day, the shuttle van was not working. The hotel staff promptly has engage public taxi to bring us to our destination FOC. Great work Ibis Myeongdong staff. The only drawback is the hotel a bit old compared the one I stay at ibis Airport Saigon. Maybe the room needs some refurbishment soon and the pillow and bed mattress a bit too soft compared the one at Ibis Airport Saigon.

The hotel and room are due for some renewing and make over. Despite the tired look of the furnishing, I wish to commend on the cleanliness of the room and toilet. It was very cold during my stay - minus 2 to 5 deg daily but the room is very well heated. Bed so comfortable..Thank you. Generally, I am satisfied with my stay. So conveniently located. Airport limousine bus 6015 stops right in front of hotel. Back to Incheon airport is the same spot. 2 subway stations are within walking distance - Myeongdeong and Eujilro.. good hotel...

Service on the downside and inflexible even I am a member of Accor. And unpleasant experience, arrival after 12:40 but still not allowed to check in being a member. Then rejected to allow an hour late check out. Very strict ! What benefit for member! The trade off is to have my nephew to sign up and then get check in. Totally disappointing with this hotel. Buffet breakfast is so so boring. This hotel really ruin the good reputation of one of Accor chain hotels. I have No regret to cancel the membership. I am sure more other chains hotel will offer better service.
