Staff has been very accommodating. I hope to extend our stay but it’s expensive especially if we avail of the family room or the club rooms. Overall it’s been a relaxing stay and buffet breakfast was superb. I wish I can afford you again next time and next pps convention so I can bring my whole family with me to experience Sofitel longer and not just overnight. Thanks so much...bonjour.

« It was frustrating explaining to the lady at the check out »

My sister and I wanted to check in our parents who are senior. We didn't use their names for check in since they are seniors and didn't have credit cards. And basis our previous experience with Shangri La in Edsa and BGC, it was not an issue. Upon check out Sofitel didn't want to credit us with the senior citizen discount. We didn't argue but it was a very simple straightforward thing they could have easily fixed. Sofitel doesn't want to help and doesn't care about guest experience.

Dear Ricci P., Thank you for taking the time on answering our Guest Satisfaction Survey. I understand where you are coming from and I do apologize if it was not clearly communicated. It is an industry practice that discounts are applied to the room of the senior citizen. They need to be present at point of check-in and registered. The agent usually asks to write the names of the occupants. This serves as a guarantee that they will occupy the room. I am sorry that this was not the case during the stay. It was ok. There was just one time, during turn down service that they just immediately opened our door wide open even we were inside. We're not sure if they didnt hear us. Maybe its time for the hotel to place door bells. Thanks.

« our first stay but we wont be back... »

We arrived late from our flight from Melbourne. Whilst we only stayed one night, we were not that impressed, with our overall stay. Our room décor was quite tired and has not been updated for some time. We were disappointed with the lack of food options (apart from Spire), there were no Philippine restaurants and very limited menu options. The bar area was disappointing, not a real bar like other hotels in Manila. I don't think this hotel meets the same standard of quality as other Sofitel hotels worldwide. If the hotel was renovated then I would come back.

We celebrated our daughter's 6th birthday. When we celebrated my birthday at Pennisula, they provided a very beautiful piece of birthday cake in our room without been asked. My husband asked for the same service, and we were told that Sofitel didn't provide this. We bought some chocolate balls and macaroons and asked to bring it up in our room. We went out and when we came back in our room, we found our bought sweets, along with a beautifully decorated birthday cake. Thank you so much for the happiness and surprise you gave to my daughter and family! The breakfast buffet was wonderful and everything was delicious!

Staying at Sofitel is a breeze. The minute you get off from tour car, the staff from the concierge get you suitcase so you do not have to be dragging it to the reception. The lady at the reception was so warm in her welcome. The breakfast at spiral is amazing. We are too spoiled for choices.
