We stayed at the Novotel due to it being close to the airport and we were returning to Australia on an early flight the next morning. Staff were very obliging. Meals were good. Wifi was terrible. We would not consider it a holiday destination with so many upmarket hotels along the coast within a 30 minute drive.

Novotel Nandi is good if you want to get away and completely relax. The meals at this hotel along with the rooms need to be brought up[ to the standard expected from the Novotel Brand. One of the positives of staying here is the buses are always nearby as are the taxis but a hire car while being expensive gives flexibility. While the Hotel has a no smoking policy this however is ignored which is not acceptable especially around the pool where there are young children. The staff are very friendly which is a big positive when travelling away from home.

Feels at home at was warmly welcomed by the staff at the front desk and also during the buffet dinner with the kitchen and serving staff. Room service was also good and room is clean to expectation. Way to go. Keep up the great service.

« Probably the last time I will stay here »

Well located as a transit overnight stay Novatel Nadi has been my choice with 13 x stays in the last 9 years. I learnt quickly that the only good rooms were the Executive and was happy to pay the extra. However over the years the property has gone slowly downhill and for the last 3 x visits I have said myself 'this is the last time' yet Ive given them another chance. Staff are lovely but most else is sadly in need of upkeep. I wasnt collected from the airport waiting nearly an hour and the blame was put on Mercure for poor shuttle service. My Exec room had no water to drink, no milk for a coffee and the sheets didnt smell fresh and were wrinkled making me think the bed had merely been made after the previous guest and not changed. The lighting is dark so hard to see if the place is as clean as it should be and impossible to put on makeup. Wifi although included in the Exec room package is so random it is impossible to work with.

I had the reviews prior to staying and even though the General Manager replied saying that are continually improving their standards and service,, I went with an open mind with actions being undertaken. Whilst the service was wonderful and friendly and food was adequate - that was it. I enquired and was advised by email that a shuttle would collect me from the airport. After waiting for 40 minutes I phoned and was told they don't have a shuttle service? What ??? I was booked into a standard room but due to unavailability, I was upgraded to their superior room. I don't know what was superior about it. The room had very little superior about it. The front door was filthy, their was minimal natural lighting and with all the lights turned on it was difficult to read anything. The room smelt musty so I was sneezing all the time, the toilet paper holder hadn't been wiped down. There were finger marks everywhere. The couch was so well worn that you sunk in, so very little support. I really think the Novotel HQ need to visit and put investment in this hotel so it meets their overall standard as I don't think the General Manager is auctioning any of the comments received. The Mecure in Nadi where I stayed only 2 months ago was far superior than the Novotel....and cheaper.

« Good but some flaws »

We enjoyed our stay at Novotel and some features such as the $5 taxi trip to Nadi airport are well priced. the hotel staff were very friendly and helpful and when we wanted to put our bags into storage quickly before heading out for lunch, they were very efficient. However there were some problems such as the noise level, which is high. In the evenings you can often hear doors slamming and staff collecting dishes/glasses from rooms etc. In the morning there was a repeated thudding coming from the ceiling, almost sounded like somebody walking up there. The restaurant was expensive even compared to port denarau. When I ordered a juice it was warm and there were two flies in it. We ordered a bottle of champagne on ice to take back to the room - the bottle was warm. Restaurant menu was limited and very expensive I thought. Cassava chips + grilled chicken breast and a juice cost about FJ$60. FJ$18 for a corona, FJ$12 for a bottle of fiji gold, etc. This pricing took much of the gloss off our stay, given that Novotel is a fair way away from other choices of restaurant.

Reached hotel with a lot of enthusiasm and excitement after a long drive from Suva. While Novotel Nadi promises some of the best scenic views from its Deluxe Rooms. it falls short on service quality and room condition. Both check in and check out took over 30 mins - the front desk is grossly understaffed. Request for room slippers required 3 calls and an hour (ideally should have been in room already, given the dusty feeling in areas where there was no carpet). Since I stayed only for 1 night, and was fairly tired, these shortcomings did not irritate me, but yes the experience was disappointing. I would still recommend this hotel for short trips, not sure if this is an ideal one for a holiday

Excellent service and they make the best coffee in town. The staff are extremely friendly and constantly engaging. This is definately our hotel of stay whenever in Nadi. Breakfast leaves a lot to be desired with quality (except the coffee!) well below the standards experienced in other Accor Hotels.

We chose the Novotel for two reasons - There reputation and I am an Accor member. I had read some reviews prior to booking, but did not believe all of them, WOW was I wrong. Firstly being rated a 4 star was very misleading, it would struggle to be 3 star at best, the rooms and décor were very tired and outdated, we walked up to the door and the security handle was half hanging off, walking into the room the first thing we saw was the carpet, it was wrinkled and dirty, it need some serious stretching, the bathroom looked like a two year old had done the grouting, tiles were chipped and broken and mould on the bottom of the shower. The wash sink was separate to the bathroom, which was very odd and the mirrors were not over the sink. The lighting was very poor in the room and the air-conditioning very noisy. The balcony door has been forced open and was very unsecure. The surrounds of the property stated 43 hectors of tropical gardens, well we must have missed something, but having said that what was there was very will looked after. The dining tables were all uneven, 2 minutes work on the legs would have fixed the problem. The menu was very limited and somewhat bland and the price of the alcohol was very very expensive. We noticed people were people brining their own wine due to the price. Having been negative there were some positives, the staff were great, friendly and helpful. Always smiling and will to assist in all our needs.

We were only there for one night en route to the islands but the room had a very strong damp mouldy smell. Other than that it wasn't too bad for what it was. Staff were friendly and the location is nice and close to the airport.

No free shuttle as advertised. Door-card disabled every night. Gap under door letting mosquitoes in. Door to adjoining room does not close properly, hear noises from other room. Food no good. Noisy fridge. Poor lighting.

The hotel is in a good location, near small shopping centre, local buses into main centre from bottom of drive. Staff nice and friendly, nice pool and boutique shops in complex. Room was good size, comfy beds and balcony for fresh air. Bathroom dated, cupboard door almost falling off, so needs a bit of maintenance to these things. Only negative is not having shuttle to or from airport. One of the only hotels near to the airport without this facility. Just a short ride in taxi was $8. The hotel could at least have a shuttle back TO the airport for guests at the end of their stay, as there would be no waiting around for a staff member like at arrivals when delays could occur. In the restaurant I found the meals good quality, but the desserts are overpriced. Breakfast was good. A distraction at the restaurant was the miner birds hovering around the food on outside BBQ and tables, this is not healthy.

Staff were fantastic. The entrance was very nice. Rooms need to be updated. Our friends stayed in a room that had been updated but ours was shabby. In the middle of nowhere, near nothing. You need transport to stay here. Convenient to the airport though.

Wasn't happy with my 3 night stay at all bathroom needs renovation very old. Mouldy bathroom tiles .When checked in lights not working in rooms,requested for towels no one delivered any towels .reception didn't have towels for swimming and did not even bother delivering towels while swimming .My daughter came shivering to reception for towels.We were 3 people staying in room but only 2 bath towels ,1 face cloth and only 1 hand towel were put in the room.Very Bad Service.We did not expect this from a 4 star at all.

« Great location for the airport »

I was transiting through Nadi during the recent visit to the Pacific islands and I chose to stay thrice at Novotel Nadi. Though there were some initial hiccups with the booking, these did not come in the way of a very comfortable stay at the hotel. Among the features I liked the most were - 1. Airport transfer facility through private taxi at a fix price of 5 FJD, 2. Free round of golf for the guests (clubs and balls have to be paid for), 3. Early check-in on availability for Accor Plus guests, 4. The expanse of the property, 5. Spacious rooms.

« Good place to start from the airport »

Place itself is looking a bit tired, but it was comfortable. Staff very helpful and friendly. Restaurant for breakfast was fine, chef cooked omelettes a highlight. Dinner menu was restricted, which was fair enough given most foods have to be imported. Choice was adequate and food nice. Air-conditioning was working fine and needed. Taxi or bust to Nandi for an interesting day out, especially as it was our first trip to Fiji.
