« I paid cash but I was also charged on my credit card as well »

This was the second time I stayed in Novotel. Last time was in November 18. We used to stay in the quarters when it was Mocambo that’s why I always come there. At check out I paid cash and the person said that next time he can upgrade us to block 700 for free. But when I reached the airport I found that I was charged on my credit card well. Pretty disappointed I had to ask around for a phone and called the hotel only to be told by the person are you sure about this as I cannot see any payment. The tone of the person was not that great either. I reiterated I was as detailed how we paid. Rather than questioning us she should have checked to see if they had cash over what they had posted or asked the other cashiers. Anyway she put me through to the guy who server us and after explaining all this he said he will reverse the payment. Seriously questioning myself now if I should come stay at Novotel in my next trip in a couple of months.

« Great one-night stay near airport »

Very convenient, pleasant place for an overnight stay near the airport. Our room was clean, comfortable, quiet, and the bed very comfortable. A very good buffet breakfast was included and we enjoyed a good dinner in the restaurant too. We didn't have time to use the pool or golf course but all the facilities looked inviting. Would definitely stay again if we need short stay accommodation near Nadi airport. Very reasonably priced.

Outdated hotel. Room had a musty smell and pillow/ bed were uncomfortable. Not worth the price we paid. No clear instructions as in how to get to our room. Had to find our own way getting lost in the car around the premises. Definitely needs more lighting outside. Thankful that the restaurant staff were able to accommodate our needs after breakfast had just finished. So thanks for that.

Stayed here a number of times on our way to our Fiji holiday home, but has gone backwards. Pool was green and unswimable. Rooms not clean, shower head didn’t fit and sprayed all over the place. As a positive the staff are very helpful. Sadly I will look at the Gateway or Tokatoka or Tania. Spend some money on maintenance!

My family and I stayed at the Novotel for one night when we arrived in Fiji. We had two adjacent rooms. The rooms were clean and comfortable, but they are a bit tired. The hotel in general feels in need of a full renovation with the telltale signs of wear and tear. But overall it’s a convenient stop close to Nadi airport. The staff were friendly and the hotel has a pool & restaurant so can cater for all needs.

Very close to airport with a regular bus running on the hour during the day. Lovely grounds. The restaurant meals were nice. Breakfast is limited in options.The rooms are more an Ibis standard. Ours was old looking and shabby. The bathroom had a cracked sink, rusty mirror and mould around the edges of shower glass. No ceiling fan either. Staff were friendly.I tried to use the computer there, and no one could get it working. So I couldn’t print my boarding passes.

Pros. Good size room with great layout. Good bed with quiet room. Close to airport with little traffic noise. Cons. Rooms are a 2 star at best with our bathroom held together with silicon. Hard to tell if clean as carpet, settee and curtains were old and past cleaning. Grounds are 3 star and well looked after. Seems this once great resort style property is now an airport stop over or cheaper alternative for conferences. It is good value for money if you are not concerned about appearance. Would stay again for stop over. Great staff. Food over priced.

The front desk was pleasant and helpful . Your banquet team ( Sai and Vere ) were exeptional. They went out of their way to assist with the Graduation set up. Nothing was too difficult and the place looked great. Was not happy with the leaking roof when it rained but this was eventually rectified by throwing a taupauline over the top!! The air con in my room was not working. The maintenance guy said only the fan was working and that it would be kick in after 20 mins. I checked out next day still no air con. Loved the coffee machine though :) The shower cublice could do with a bit more elbow grease!! Called the Spa for a pedicure - $220FD - total rip off than it came down to FD$99(for local) just to remove the gel polish ( nothing else) was FD$110- Ridiculus. $55 @ Denarau. Lots of places was a hazard with leaky sections. Could do with some radical maintenance. Great staff !!

The service was the usual very pleasant experience. The room was fine. The new menu is great but some items seemed over priced. The only disappointment was the Spa. I had a quick manicure and pedicure which was very over priced for a process that took less than an hour. When I was out in the full light, the application of the polish was not even very well done.
