The room (112) stank of cigarettes, the bathroom toilet plumbing is pathetic.

I wouldn’t recommend anyone to your hotel in Annemasse because of the road works and difficult access to the hotel. I know it is not your fault but until these town improvements are completed I will not return.

The staff were friendly and helpful, speaking english to accomodate us. the refurbished rooms were comfortable, clean and of a good standard. the only downside was the AC seemed very lacklustre prompting some stuffy nights as the temperature was 25 degrees+

It was a troubling experience since I lost $2,500/- on Thursday 11th July 2019 which I had left in my room and the house keeping person stole the money from my bag while I was away. Its unfortunate I realised when I was back in my home country. Its an experience I will never forget and I caution everyone to take care when reserving a room to stay in this hotel.

Customers used to forget money in the room, my roommaids always come at the reception with the money or others things. My staff is here from a long time, we never had this kind of problem. You are accusing directly the house keeping, how can you say that if you were outside? How can you prove that it's the person who clean your room? Are you sure that when you came outside, the door of your room was closed, did you assure yourself that you closed correctly your door? In case of important stuff, we have a safety box where you can put it, you just have to ask at the reception, why you did not come at the reception to ask for a safety box? Why didn't you say anything before? You could have call us or write an email. My staff is not thief, I'm sure about that. They used to find wallets, money etc..they always come at the reception to alert us. Customers always got back their stuff, even sockets or shampoo. I'm sorry but I can't accept your accusation, you can't say that my staff is thief without any proof. Sincerely, The General Manager

Good hotel with the comfortable Ibis bed, the rooms are a little bit old but still ok. Only the curtains should be changed. The location is convenient, end of the year the new tram and railway connection with Geneva will be ready making the trip to the city very short. The breakfast is good.

The hotel staff is very pleasant. We got all information about Geneva tram, which we need. You may have a cap of good coffee even in the early morning. It is no problem to go to Genève center by tram. The hotel has free parking.

Lost in - an IBIS too far out of Geneva!

Sirs: I chose the IBIS Annemasse based on the description on the IBIS website, as being reasonable close to Geneva city center, with convenient public transport connections. Unfortunately, I was mistaken. The next tram station (the one mentioned on the IBIS website) is some 2km from the hotel, and the way there is though a street that is completely turned upside down due to tramway construction works. This caused me to invest 45 CHF in a taxi ride next day, and thus should have been mentioned on the IBIS website. I am aware though that the transport situation will improve significantly once the tramway construction works have finished. Further, the hotel clearly has seen better days, with the corridors and elevators looking worn. While the rooms are larger than used from IBIS, they're in old repair and should be refurbished. My room door was very difficult to open and I needed all force I could muster. There were only large towels in the bathroom, a minor inconvenience. On the positive side, breakfast was surprisingly good, I particularly enjoyed the regional cheeses. I also cannot complain about the staff - friendly, and all dealing like checkin or out were handled swiftly. I certainly will not chose IBIS Annemasse again until situation improves. The hotel is located in a neighbourhood that is going under major construction work for the tramway. Getting to the hotel by car was really challenging at night. Finding a parking spot was another challenge since my car was too wide and long for the underground carpark. The lobby and the breakfast room need urgently renovation. My room was recently renovated but the work was not completed in a thorough way. Globally the quality of the stay is poor when comparing to most other Ibis hotels. The Campanille hotel in the center of Annemasse looks like a better choice: better location and better condition.

As you might be aware, I have been staying at Ibis Annemasse regularly, 3-5 times a year, since 2013. I've seen many staff changes, successful renovations etc. and generally I was very satisfied with my stays and recommended IBIS Annemasse as a typical good standard Ibis Hotel. This time, again someone new at the breakfast service, I was very dissatisfied with breakfast, on both mornings. This person was not only unfriendly, no good morning and no smile, when I greeted her. There was no toast bread, the egg boiler was not switched on, there was no variety in breads, just some half baked up baquette and the croissant were not replaced although it was only 9'O clock. I suggest management checks the breakfast service occasionaly
