« A One Night Stopover in Paris »

I've stopped in hotels all over the world & this was without doubt the smallest hotel room I've ever stopped in. That said what little room I had was comfortable, although the bed was a little small as my feet were hanging over the end (I'm 5'11" tall). If the bed was any bigger then it wouldn't have fitted in the room. I had to move the chair to in front of the door, in order to get round the end of the bed. As with all Accor hotels I've stopped at the heating was useless. It was a particularly cold night & even set on the highest temperature, only cold air blew out.

Hello Mr. S., Thank you for giving us a feedback regarding your stay with us. We are however disappointed to read that your stay was not up to your expectations. Indeed due to the architecture of our building, some of our rooms are a little smaller than others. However on one of your next dates, in a space concern, you can book a double room or a privilege room with all its services and additional goodies such as nespresso machine, bathrobe, slippers ect .. for 10 € and 30 € respectively only the single room that you have booked for this stay. As much as the size of our beds, we will examine this in detail because our bedding is often quoted to be very good by our customers. For information our reception is open 24h / 24 to make your stay as unforgettable as possible, to answer all your little worries and if necessary to change your room as far as possible. Especially for heating. We sincerely hope to see you again and show you this time the real potential of our hotel! Thomas.

VeryVery one night stop for either Nord or Est, though obviously slightly closer to Est. Reception staff very friendly and helpful. Perhaps the black wall in the cellar be noeakfast room would be better a lighter colour!

Not my first stay at a Mercure in general and this hotel in particular, and no bad surprise. I was give a groundfloor bedroom, not the best as you need to draw the curtain and stay in the dark if you want privacy from the street (a net curtain in addition to the heavy curtain would be nice). I did not mind as I was there only to sleep. The staff was obviously sorry to offer me this room and helped me sort out the air conditioner that was set on cold and could not be turned off. They interrupted their phone call whenever I came to reception and were pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was nice, I expected even more choices for that price but what I had was good.

The only thing "double" about this double occupancy room was the double bed. One would assume that double occupancy would usually mean two people are staying in the room. In this room the closet is 9.5 inches wide, there is a cabinet that contains a fridge and a safe, but the room is so small the cabinet door will not open fully because it can't get past the bed, which means that one cannot open the safe because it hits the door of the cabinet with cannot open because of the bed, which means the safe is not usable. No luggage racks, which of course is because there is no room in which to place a luggage rack, which means that suitcases have to be opened on the bed, then closed up and placed on the floor impeding entry to the bathroom and the entry door. This room may be adequate for one person with a small suitcase. It is a single room, not a double and was totally unsuitable for two travellers who had been in France for 6 weeks and were not living out of a backpack. I feel that it was a totally inappropriate room assignment. On the plus side, it had the best shower I had seen in six weeks.

Hot day and air conditioning in the room did not work. When I queried this with the front desk I was told 'it was cold yesterday'. Breakfast room was uncomfortably warm.

« Generally fine, check-in was rather shambolic, only one member of staff on, we waited over fifteen minutes altogether »

Rooms were fine as was breakfast but checking in was disappointing. I had checked in on-line in my name for all of the rooms but when we were at the hotel we had to do it all again with someone different for each room. If the website had told me this we could have saved a significant amount of time. We cancelled one room which we know was re-let to other guests but so far no response to my email enquiring if we can have a refund.

Having greeted you first, the rooms are not free to your early arrival, I took care to keep your luggage so that you can enjoy Paris and return in the afternoon and recover your rooms. In accordance with the procedures and terms and conditions, we must check for any prepaid online arrival, the blue card used to pay and the piece of identity of the wearer. Having reserved all the rooms in your name, for a concern of internal clarity and for you also, we took the names and first names of all the people present under your name. After consulting our manager, we understand the fact that you canceled a room at the last minute, but you chose accordingly a non-cancellable and non-refundable rate as stipulated in the terms and conditions of sale of the rate. « Fantastic experience - enjoyed everyone there - from Esperance to Virginia to the entire staff »

You cannot find people here who are truly cheerful. Esperance was the best - her charm and smile were better than the breakfast downstairs. Virginia was outstanding at the front desk. Both of them let me practice my bad French without laughing too much. Cannot say enough good things about the both of them especially.

Very useful location, in between Gare de l'Est and Gare du Nord. Hotel was very friendly, but it is on the small side. Rooms small for a Mercure, and corridors narrow. Breakfast very good.

« A quite freindly place near Gare de l'Est station »

Friendly staff and quiete place. I stay there for 3 nights and I had a very pleasant stay. Even if the room is not that big (We are in Paris ;-) ) it is well and nicely decorated and all you need is present. During the Checkout early Morning the manager offer me a coffe and we had a nice chat. A good place for holidays or business trip.

The room was clean and bed OK, but the bathroom had brown stripes around,they could have been moved, washed of. It says bathroom was not clean enough. The corridor was vacumed only in the middle. The room was very nicely furnished and in a good condition. The hotel is very central to Gare de L'Est but therefore also some strange people are on the streets around the hotel. The staff is very friendly and helpful.
