Room okay, hotel fine. Bartenders were awful. 3 of 4 of them could not speak or understand American English at all, and had never even heard of an Aperol Spritz. Lots of head scratching and muttering. The one person who had heard of it made a very tasteless one for me. Who are you hiring and why? I don't know what your management is thinking. I know you are the only game in town at terminal 5, but that's no reason to ruin the place.

Excellent location next to Terminal 5 for international flights out of Heathrow. When we went to our room, the porter checked the AC panel, and it did not work properly. He coordinated with Jennifer at check-in, and we were promptly given another room, which was actually an upgrade. They really care about their occupants. The rooms are super quiet with thick glass windows, and the beds are great. The lighting in the room was excellent. We ate an outstanding dinner and breakfast at the hotel. We have stayed twice at this location and will stay there again on our next trip to Europe prior to leaving from Terminal 5.

I am a gold member. My check in and check out experience was excellent. My room was upgraded which was great. The problem started right after I checked out. Few minutes after I checked out from room 3219 on Oct 12, 2018 at about 8:05 am, but while still at the airport, I realized I had left my black Northface vest in the closet. Since I have already gone through security check at the LHR airport I did not have enough time to walk back to the hotel jeopardizing missing my flight. So, I immediately wrote an email and send tom Gu… and inform them of the situation. Never heard a response!? They even did not acknowledge the receipt of my email!? Also, the next day I received my receipt of partial payment, so, I replied to the email with the following email address H6… Still no response!? So, my first question is why I did not receive any response!? My second question is if a guest leaves anything, could be a piece of clothing, documents, an electronic device, and etc, does it automatically because a property of the hotel!? I am not sure if you realize but this is illegal and is a form of theft! When I left my room the maid with her cart was standing right outside my room (room 3219). All it would have taken was for somebody at reception or guest relation to give her a call and have her to collect the vest from the closet. I need this problem look into and let me know why I never received any response and also, what is the hotels' policy toward items left at the hotel? If this is how you treat your gold members I am wondering how do you treat the non members!?

First and foremost, please accept my apologies for the challenges you faced in obtaining your forgotten item after check out. I can assure you that we follow the strictest procedures regarding lost property and at no point have we ever had issues of theft or reclaiming guest property as our own. Any and all items found in public areas, bedrooms and meeting rooms is logged with our Housekeeping department and kept for 6 months as per hotel policy. As to why you did not receive a response to your initial emails; gu… is an old email that has not been used since June of this year. There should have been an automated response to inform you that this email is no longer active and redirecting you to the new one. I have tested this email now and it comes back as undelivered. The email address H6… is an outgoing email only and does not receive replies. I will certainly look into this and ensure that the correct details are displayed on our websites and on the invoice emails. Despite this, if we had received the email, there is no guarantee that we could have got the items to you past terminal security as no staff members are allowed past this point and Heathrow operate very stringent rules regarding any items being handed over to their staff without the owner present. I am pleased to inform you that we do have your Northface vest and I am happy to arrange this to be shipped to you without charges. Please confirm the full shipping address and contact telephone number so I can arrange this for you. Mr K., I hope this provides some answers to you and again I am sorry for this experience. I dined in the Belle Epoque and it lived up to its reputation. Delicious dishes, excellent wines, gracious service. The convenience of walking to Terminal 5 cannot be beat and the short transfer to Terminal 2 was easy. But it does take 30 min if you just miss one of the trains that only run every 15 min.

Arrived on short stay with two different bookings. Front desk could not combine them which resulted in my having to settle 2 invoices on checkout- I have stayed in 3 star hotels that could manage such a simple job. This may be trivial to some but when you have to spend over 30% of your time on the road, every unnecessary transaction is an inconvenience to be tracked and accounted for when you submit expenses. Room cupboard sliding door was not on rails properly which made it impossible to open or close completely- Not acceptable in a hotel which purports to be 5 star. Cleanliness acceptable. Bar staff service poor. Restaurant service good.

We checked in and presented room service. They got our order completely wrong. They said if you don’t like it we will bring you something else . What? It’s not what we ordered. Brought one set of utensils so I had to eat my salad with a knife. We had asked for a wine opener at time of order. Of course they forgot it. Had to call.. waited 20 minuets. I called again and no one answered room service, front desk or operator for almost 5 minuets. By this time we were almost done with dinner . We wanted to drink this particular bottle so we didn’t have to check it with our luggage. Finally got the corkscrew. We were wanting to go to bed ASAP because we had to get up at 0500 for a long trip back to states. It was all a huge flail. Lobby and other parts of hotel are nothing special. I’m not sure how they got their rating. We’ve been traveling almost a month .. Staying in 4 to 5 star hotels. This was nothing close to that. It was more like a Holiday Inn. You would think they would have better amenities, service and ambiance. When we checked out we told the front desk about our experience. He just raised his eyebrows. Would not recommend this hotel at all.

Please, please, please improve your checking in procedures. Every time I stay with you it is exactly the same. There is always a long queue and the Accor Express Desk is never attended. When I arrived after 11pm after having had a delayed flight it is so frustrating to have to joint a queue of 15 people. Sort it out!!!

Good convenient location, well appointed, but service level struggles when reasonably full. Had to wait long time for room service, who didn’t call back and eventually had to enlist the help of the duty manager. All resolved but unnecessary if planned ahead.
