stayed overnight as was at Elstree studios 4 mins from venue couldn't be better for the money maybe anot her member of staff would be better as only 2 staff on and they were booking in and serving at the bar

We arrived earlier than expected and the staff were extremely helpful in helping us get organised and to get early entry into our room. Throughout our stay the staff were always friendly and helpful. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable and the food, although of slightly limited choice compared to some, was very good and reasonably priced.

« Quiet, v clean, excellent value for money if you book early. »

Enjoyed one night stay. No frills, everything in room and bathroom(just) that you need but perhaps more teabags and coffee sachets maybe provided. Reported blocked(?) washbasin in room 514. Easy, stress free check in/out. Limited hotel car parking but next to municipal car park which I gather is free overnight. Only one complaint, booked by phone, gave debit card details, but money not transferred from my bank to hotel account instantly results in their computer program issuing an email saying reservation failed. You have to rebook, or in my case pay again then claim a refund after, eventually, the original debit card payment has gone through. 6 twenty minute phone calls to hotel/my bank to finally sort out.

« Nice hotel, showers still crap »

The latest staff are all wonderful, helpful, unfailingly polite and kind even in the face of the usual rude British public.However, despite the new mixers, the showers are stil totally unpredictable and unreliable to the extent that you cannot be sure that a constant temperature will last more than a few seconds even minutes, before suddenly going very hot or cold.This has been a problem in this hotel since 2012.Be careful

we were in London for a show and were looking for somewhere reasonably priced, as we could not afford to stay in central London. This ticked all the boxes. Its less than 30 mins on the train to Kings Cross, and the hotel has a 24hr snack menu available which is ideal if getting back late at night. Room was clean, bar and restaurant were reasonably priced, and the staff were very friendly. One thing to look out for is the rooms are not air conditioned, which wasn't an issue for us but may be an issue for some during the summer months.

Room clean. Bed very comfortable. Cleaning lady from Bulgaria superbly customer friendly. Shame about the Reception staff who were on duty on the late evening of 6th October, they ran round like headless chickens trying to do too much & achieving nothing apart from stressing out customers & themselves. I found out the following morning from the manager that they had been short staffed that evening. Two questions ? 1. Why was there no back from the Manager when there were only 1 receptionist, 1 barman & 1 chef to serve a busy reception, a full bar & full restaurant ? 2. I know they were short staffed by 1 person but 1 further person was not enough. I know it is a good value budget hotel but if it carries on with insufficient staff numbers it will have customer problems, The book stops at the manager, why was he not aware of the problems until I & 2 ladies spoke to him at 10:30 am on Friday morning. He was then making excuses , it was like he had no idea or control of what was going on in his hotel. My message to him was either get a grip on what is going on or leave. I had many years in upper management & if he had been employed by myself then would have had final written warnings on his record. The good enthusiastic staff deserve better leadership.

The hotel staff were very friendly and professional and when we had a small problem in our room with the television it was sorted in a matter of minutes. The public areas were large and nice and light with a good bar. The carpark is rather small but there is a large public carpark behind the hotel and we were issued with an Ibis Pass for it. The bedrooms were the usual Ibis layout, very comfortable beds and very adequate bathroom and a nice touch having Coffee and Tea facilities.

Arrived quite early in the morning & had a sumptuous, great-value-for-money buffet breakfast, while waiting for my room to be ready. Rested peacefully during the day and went down early evening to grab a cool pint & snack before settling to sleep. Woke up next morning to cups of hot tea & coffee in the room; lounged more for a bit and checked out after leaving my luggage in storage, to pick up later in the evening after my meeting. Entire stay was refreshing and reception staff very helpful; I look forward to next stay soon.

Check in was a pleasurable experience, I was asked if I preferred a certain floor and where I would like my room, and my requests granted. Very nice end room on the third floor. Very clean with all necessary requirements, including extremely comfortable bed, TV and tea/coffee making facilities. Bathroom had ample space with larger than average shower.

Quick check in and voucher for £1 a Day car park - brilliant! Room was fine, clean and as you would expect from a budget hotel. Lots of hot water! Food (mostly snack food) and drink in the bar was good value - limited choice but definitely something to tempt you! We would stay again if visiting Elstree- literally across the road!

The room was very basic. We had to request extra pillows as they were very uncomfortable. We were disturbed in the night every time any room door opened or closed as the bang of the door closing was loud in the room.
