« Only 5 minutes in the shuttle from the airport, but three times the price of nearby hotels »

Rather than spend the day in the Thai lounge we booked a day-room at the Bangkok Airport Novotel for the rich sum of USD150 for 8 hours. Admittedly the hotel was excellent and gave us an upgaded room based on my Gold Accor status, but we could have booked other shuttle-hotels nearby for a quarter of the price. Would have no hesitation in recoomending this hotel if someone else is paying.

it is convenient hotel and facilities are very good. however there are several problems. Pillows are very bad, the same size and too large. we could not sleep at night because of pillows. when I called reception asking for different pillow, I was told that all pillows in the hotel have the same size. another issue was shower in the room: the water flow was very weak from shower head and tap water handle is large and located in such a way that you always hit it when taking shower. at the same time showers are very good in sauna facilities near the swimming pool, so in the end we were taking shower there instead of taking shower in the room.

Firstly, I regret to learn about the disappointment you had on the hotel pillow as well as the shower in the room. Allow me to share with you that there were three kind of pillows that we provide. (Long polyester pillow, short polyester pillow and short feather pillow.) For your upcoming visit in September, please rest assured that we will prepare the short feather pillows in advance for you. On the other hand, please accept my sincere apology for the miscommunication on this matter. We consider that Front Office is the face of the hotel and the first contact for all the guests. Certainly our Front Desk associate should be the one who provide correct information. These have been shared with our Front Office Manager, who will provide appropriate training with those mentioned. For the shower part, I was concerned to learn about the shower in your room did not work properly. We do have rooms inspected prior to the guest’s arrival by our housekeeping supervisor as well as a monthly maintenance preventative program. Despite these process I understand that the malfunction still occurred during your stay and I sincerely apologize for the convenience caused. Our Executive Housekeeper and Chief Engineer will inspect the shower to ensure that the appropriate actions have been taken to avoid any re-occurrence. On a separate note, I would like to thank you for your constructive feedback about the tap water handle. We will look at ways for further improvement. In the meantime I am much appreciated to learn that you find a pleasant stay with us apart of this incident. « Very Disappointing. »

Firstly we had a few issues booking in.... To be fair I was responsible for most of it... Could not get access to the email required to book us in.... The complicated action taken to resolve this was an absolute joke... I was using my MILAGE POINTS with Thai Airlines..... It was finally sorted out... The young man assisting was excellent... My partner and I had dinner at the Buffet .... I ordered the flow free wine.... I found the food disappointing...The seafood was ordinary compared to what I am use to in Sydney... Other dishes were OK but felt there could be a DIM SIM or Spring Roll available... There was NO Calamari, Having seafood sticks in preference to other better quality food was insulting. Your Pork was good , wine was excellent .... There was sufficient patronage to allow for a better selection of dishes.... Summing up the buffet, it was very disappointing due to the poor selection of seafood and small selection of chineese dishes.... .................... My room was excellent as was the service... I have marked you down heavily due to your poor buffet. I would not stay again there .... Would stay in BKK ... You are extremely expensive to eat there including a cup of coffee.... Your food offers very poor value..

Overall the stay was pleasant. I did notice a $65 unauthorized charge placed on my credit card from the hotel after leaving. I found this very concerning. Please remove it and credit me. Thank you, Krista F.

« First time in this hotel, and It was a great experience! »

I enjoyed my stay at Novotel Bangkok Airport! It started well as soon as I found the complimentary shuttle service from the airport to the hotel -- it departed as soon as I boarded, which was great. The expansive lobby provided a good first impression and check-in went quickly. The room was spacious, though I think the TV needs updating (poor visual quality), the toiletries were basic and the internet connection was erractic at times. My time spent was relatively short, so I hoped I had more time to enjoy the hotel facilities and restaurants.

Initially we were overcharged for superior room, when we told the fellow this was our third stay, others of our party were booked in and we knew the price. Then an upgrade was offered then accepted supposedly because the hotel was overbooked (not true). This particular reception fellow needs retraining in my considered opinion as an experienced international traveler. Also my wife is Thai and noted his behavior as uncharacteristic to our last two stays relative to other hotel staff. Room was unclean, dusty (also dusty glass shelves in bathroom after two cleanings) and even a baby soother on the floor. This existing facility is beyond 'well worn' and overpriced leaving only strategic location to its allure. Originally in January 2018 my agent booked; the last two booking were made direct by myself simply based on travel requirements.

the room was nice, the desk staff friendly, was a little disappointed with being woken up in the morning by staff outside, next door to my room as I checked in late and was planning a sleep in but that didn't happen as I was close to were staff prep room, (top floor)
