Good location. Walking distance to metro (subway) stations. Good hotel restaurant - good variety of food for breakfast, and delicious food for dinner also. Rooms were clean and well-maintained however at times a bit too warm and we were not able to adjust the temperature (the air-con in the room had a 'cooling' function where you can set the temperature but that didn't seem to work) but that was only a minor issue and didn't bother us too much. Overall a good hotel and we will stay there again and recommend to others.

Beautifully located in the heart of St. Petersburg. 10 mins walk from the St Petersburg railway station. The staff was pleasant and very helpful. The rooms are IBIS standard and clean. The breakfast buffet can improve.

My stay at the Ibis was amazing. The property's location is perfect! Close to most eating joints and located at a walking distance from the Galleria Mall and the High Speed Rail station. The staff was hospitable. The room size was decent and nice for a solo traveller. The rooms were clean and well equiped. I would suggest that the Hotel should start providing basic toiletries such as tooth brush and tooth paste on a complimentary basis.

It’s overpriced for the service they provide there... There were no upgrade for platinum AccorHotels member (no availability). The room was really small... The views from the room are just okay... There’s nothing to see there. The bathroom is pretty spacious. The breakfast was a bit worse than just okay to my mind... No bacon and I disliked the coffee. The bar varieties isn’t enough even for a 3 star hotel. There’s nobody to help you with the luggage upon arrival. If you want to go down to your car (parking is on the ground floor) you have to call to the security and then use another lift car... But what is regarding the parking was okay! Nothing to complain about... I really suggest to replace the carpets on the floors for more bright ones!

It really defies belief not just how bad the service is, but how brazenly unreasonable and rude the staff is. Don’t even try to ask something, the answer you will get is NO, and you won’t have time to finish your sentence. At breakfast, you don’t get any Good Morning or Hello but just a « Room number » or worse you are shown a pen and a sheet of paper to write your room number and of course without any smile. The second morning I forgot my city map on the table, map with notes from our guide, this means precious document !! I went back to the breakfast room to ask for my map : First word was NO without letting me explaining the situation, they didn‘t want to listen and help. I went to the reception desk to ask : the answer After a call to the breakfast room was : I can watch the video to see if you forgot the map...this was not in order to help me but to proove I didn‘t forget anything ! You are just disturbing the Concierge if you go and ask a question : the lady is reading or looking at her computer. Then you have to go and ask the reception desk for help whereas this is not its job. At the bar, the waiter is annoyed by nothing. No smile, just raises his eyes to heaven for a simple request that was a cup of Camomille as welcome drink (I have a loyalty card) Rude answer : « you will get a free beverage for the hotel, nothing else ». He made such a theater for a cup of camomille, unforgettable. The answer would have been polite, I wouldn‘t have insisted to get the camomille. And I got it ! The staff mostly doesn‘t speak english which is a huge problem in this hotel. At the breakfast, exept one or two ladies no one can help you, there are then big boundaries with communication. At the reception desk, trainees don‘t speak english too. Let‘s talk about food : breakfast is a disaster. 6 days eating the same food, we skept the last one to choose a real breakfast in Town ! I would be curious to know what is the total cost price per customer for this breakfast : the cheapest and most disgusting tea, colored and sugared water named fruit juice, warm and melted butter, apples or oranges invariably whereas this is the country of cherries or red berries, no Gluten Free bread even though the hotel acknowledges receipt of your request one week before arrival and just gives you rice crisps saying „this or nothing“. Consistent lack of mugs/cups and cuttlery. The goal when you enter the breakfast room is First to find fork knife and spoon and a mug. Turnover of tableware is not enough quick. Tables are not cleared and cleaned enough too. Not matter what time this is, you will face this same issue. The breakfast room is too small for the quantity of clients of the hotel. Poorly arranged, we are piled upon one another. Movement between tables is not that easy And it is so so noisy, no soundproofing. And Last but not least : The day before departure I spoke in the morning with the kindest receptionist Alena (so helpful and Perfect receptionist) , telling her all what happened during our stay. She was so sorry for us. In the evening, when my daughter and I were getting dressed after shower, the door of the room suddenly opened itself showing two ladies with a fruits plate and complimentary card from the hotel to wish me a good stay and vibes at the hotel (I spent already 6 days at the hotel) !!! I was so afraid when the door opened, that I shouted. No one knocked at the door before entering ! How is this possible ? This is a basic rule ! Ladies entered the room without asking just saying „sorry for the mistake but usually your room is empty at that time“. Does it mean that were are tracked ??? The ladies insisted on taking a picture of the plate in the room whereas I firstly refused. There was a big mess in the room, we were wrapping up for the departure the next day. Well this was a good Intention but so awkward and done inappropriately ! Well this was my second and LAST experience at IBIS (After an awful stay in Hong Kong). I am a very faithful Client of Accor but enough is enough. Ibis St Petersburg ruined the Image I have of Accor. It will be interesting to see if Ibis St Peterburg respond to this comment with more than the generic comment „thank you we will raise this...etc“ remark they contemptuously leave for the other 1 star reviews.

Dear Ms. O., First of all I'd like to express my sincere apologies for any inconveniences caused and I regret a lot that your expectations were far beyond the level of service which IBIS brand usually delivers. I appreciate a lot that you decided to choose IBIS hotel again despite the fact that you had the unpleasant experience with this brand before in another country. And it's hard for me to read your negative comments of how terrible all departments and products were, while IBIS is one of the most famous and the strongest brands of the AccorHotels company. Now let me kindly stress your attention that our strength is coming from the strong positioning as the economy class hotel. IBIS is the brand which delivers the experience of budgeted travel. But here in St Petersburg, thanks to the big demand, we have an advantage to give slightly more values to our guests, and if you compare us to other IBIS hotels you'll easily find some components which are not a regular practice for other IBIS's. Most probably you didn't even notice it, which is reasonable, as your expectations are much higher that IBIS's standards. But as you probably know, AccorHotels has 39 brands in its portfolio, which allow guests to choose one according to the preferences and expectations. I'm pretty sure you are able to reinstate your trust in Accor company if you choose Novotel or So Sofitel hotels for your next stay. By the way, we have hotels of these brands in our city. And of corse, I can't leave without comments some operational issues you've mentioned: 1 “you are shown a pen and a sheet of paper to write your room number “ – you are absolutely right, we really do it. We have many guests from France or Spain who do not speak English, and this is the only comfortable option for them to communicate the room number. 2 “The staff mostly doesn‘t speak English” - I’m confused while reading this, as English is a mandatory requirement for the reception staff and restaurant supervisors. All staff of our Front of house team speak English with no exception. 3 “No one knocked at the door before entering ! How is this possible ? This is a basic rule “ - I absolutely agree that this is a basic rule. After making an investigation I have to comment that the staff followed the procedure. I do regret that their appearance was sudden for you but it was just because they knocked the door quietly trying not to disturb neighboring guests. Once again, I regret that your experience didn't match your expectations. But I'm proud that you valued our excellent cleaning and beds which is a base for our reputation and core standard. Check in and home keeping was very good. The beds are good, also pillows and tissues very comfortable. Generally, other requests at the reception and at the bar were not met with more than the minimum of courteousy. There is room for improvement and it supports the reputation that people in St. Petersburg are not so kind to foreigners/tourists. The toilet paperholder is very far down. Too low and there is no clear reason why. Air-conditioning is working, but a really cooling effect I didn't notice, even though properly adjusted. A larger group of Spanish tourists kept all kitchen staff busy, so that other tourists would have had to wait about one hour. This is lack of organisation and respect versus the other guests. MUST be improved.

The hotel was clean and in a very good location. Breakfast was ok. But the price (110 Euros per night) is high. Some renovation is needed. Also: When a walking person, asks to use the disabled lift in the entrance stairs, there is a reason for it. It is not that he/she is lazy... Disability doesnt mean always a person in a wheelchair. Please be more helpful and listen to your clients

5-day stay couldn't be better in terms of convenience to getting to all the attractions (museums etc.) Hotel offers perfect variety of local and international cuisines, so everyone was satisfied with breakfast options.
