« I was very satisfied with the hotel and will certainly return. »

The staff, everywhere in the hotel, was friendly and willingly accommodated my every need. The room was well appointed and cared for throughout my stay. I especially appreciated the desk and numerous electrical outlets as I frequently needed to work in the evenings. As well, I appreciated have an electric kettle in the room. The buffet breakfast had good offerings and things were always fresh. However, there could have been a bit more variety over the several days I was there. All other meals taken at the hotel were very good. All considered, I had a very pleasant stay at the hotel and will be happy to return again in a few months.

« The best option in Tunis »

I keep returning to this Novotel as it is very convenient for location and facilities. Some improvements are needed (it is not possible that with 27° temperature, the air conditioned is not put in force because it it is still winter under African standards. Consider that the windows open only slightly and the result was the room being an oven!). No city maps are offered at the concierge. Breakfast is ok, but the display on the hot dishes is wrongly indicated so you don't know what there is inside). Staff is very helpful, smiling and very friendly! WiFi is good and the roof terrace is very useful if you have some time to spend relaxing. I will definitely return.

The hotel staff treatment is not like last year (worst), there was no kettle in room. Some facilities need maintenance. Overall rating is in decline compared with last year.

Staff was friendly although communication in English was a problem. There was no kettle in the room which was difficult and one was not available. Overall the experience was average. For a four star hotel, things lik3 kettle etc. Should be in room

-Restaurant noisy in the evening, not really the good place to work with colleagues or partners. -Room was over-heated with not AIRCO working, the only way to have to fresh is to open the window and admire traffic noise. -having someone knocking at your door just to see if yu are still in the room every morning between 8:10am and 8:30am sounds weird

« Good but could be improved »

First and foremost you have one exceptional employee that I must commend and that was Omar. He was above and beyond helpful in trying to help us find a massage appointment somewhere in the city. Although we failed in finding one he really cared about trying and put forth great effort to help. That was my single best experience in the hotel. Things that could be improved. 1) Please do not be so economical with the free water in the room. We are two people and were given only one small bottle each day and on the third day it was forgotten entirely and not given to us (really not a good show). 2) uneven english speaking staff. When we arrived and were in the hotel we had zero problems but the one time we called the front desk lady could not understand any of my english based requests and when I kindly asked to be transferred to one of her colleagues whom could better understand me she refused. 3) follow up on guest requests. We tried 3-4xs for the hotel to book us a dinner for my fiancee at a very well known high end restaurant for her birthday. We asked them to do it 3x's and followed up on it the 4th time before we left the hotel to go to the restaurant (Dar Zarrouk). It was obvious no one called the restaurant and had any confirmation. When we finally arrived the restaurant had no idea who we were and had no calls from the Novotel. Luckily we were able to get a table anyway but this is just unacceptable as far as I am concerned. 4) Be more secure with luggage in hold. Post checking out we asked for our bags to be held in a secure location for a few hours before we left to head to the airport (so as to enjoy the city a bit). We came back and the bags were just sitting on the floor in the same place we left them in the lobby. I really would have expected them to put them someplace secure or at least move them from the middle of the lobby floor. Not the end of the world but not great either. 5) just some compliments as well as we thought the porters for the bags and security were always pleasant and professional. This can sometimes make people nervous but rather we felt very safe and they were super nice while doing their job which was appreciated. The main porter who helped with the bags was also a very nice gentleman. 6) Lastly we loved the gym and how we could access it at any time. This makes a huge difference as we tend to work out before most people get up so we can start the day early. This ease of access would make me choose this hotel again without question. 7) if possible please inform people that the AC does not work during months X because it was rather hot for us and we decided to turn it on which only made the room unbearable as it blew hot air only. To not have AC is bad but to not tell people and when they try to cool down it makes it worse is very bad and not responsible of the hotels information provided. 8) the spa has very limited info about the massages. THey list the names but in no language at all is the name explained for what they are. Also they are far too short for most standard times 50min vs normal 60-90 min massages. You should really improve this. Thank you again for everything and thanks to Omar for making our stay memorable in a good way. Again we loved the gym and the view from it. Sincerely, Everett M K.

There is a small Gim also, wait time on lifts was not long. Wifi was fast and no interruption. The area where there could be improvement is choice of breakfast for vegetarians like baked beans would have been great.
