One of my better stays in Tunisia, rooms and facilities good. WiFi great, which is not normally the case in Tunis. Just some work to do on service and helpfulness, staff sometimes come across as uninterested especially at breakfast.

« Adequate rooms, friendly and helpful receptionists but beware of taxi scams »

The hotel is centrally located, more or less walkable to the Medina and there are plenty of restaurant options nearby.Rooms are not large, but adequate and clean. Breakfast is pretty good with both international and Tunisian options.The receptionists we have come across are helpful and took their time to help us with local information (special mention to Momo!)One thing to be mindful of is the taxis from the companies the hotel works with are sometime dishonest drivers who use rigged meters. Our ride to Lac 1 which should have cost 5 dinar came to 30 (the meter just jumped erratically on the ride whilst the driver would pretend to engage in a conversation with you) and even right after we brought this to management’s attention, the security offered to arrange a taxi to the airport for a fixed price of three times the usual fare when taxis which run on meter are plentiful on the street so one cannot help but wonder

« Always nice to come back to a place you're familiar with. »

Check-in was quick and the room was fine. However I was very disappointed that there was no kettle in the room unlike my previous stay at the hotel. I was told I would have to order hot water when I wanted a drink! This meant I had to wait for 10-15 minutes and call again on occasion with the water being less than hot. Not much fun when you're pressed for time or come back from an intense day of meetings. On the plus side at least the staff are friendly and the restaurant catered for my vegetarian and gluten free diet.

I was welcomed to the hotel by security who go through the necessary checks before entering the hotel. The reception staff were friendly and booked me in quickly. I went to my room that was clean and well equipped. IF I was to make one complaint, there was no kettle in my room, I was only staying 1 night so didn't mind.
