For a 2* hotel there is absolutely nothing I could fault it on. On arrival my door would not lock so I was quickly changed rooms and helped with my bags. All the staff are lovely and friendly also!

Beds weren’t that comfortable, could have done with more pillows but it was okay for the night. Thought it was a bit unnecessary for the amount of bouncers that we’re downstairs when we came back from our night out.

I did not enjoy my stay with you, me and my friend both stayed in a twin bedroom before we had an audition the next day. At around 11:30pm a member of staff knocked on our door and said they had had a complaint we were being noisy and needed to keep it down. I responded saying we were making no noise as we were trying to get a good night sleep for the next day anyway. The member of staff, a male, spoke to us in a very rude manner saying he will kick us out if there was another complaint to which I continually responded that we were not making any noise and there was no need for him to be talking to us as disrespectfully as he was. Me and my friend are both 19 and look very young for age and I he would definitely have not of spoken like that to my parents or 'adults' even though we are. This staff member, wishing I asked his name now, was extremely rude and disrespectful speaking down to us and I hope no other guests are treated the way we were.

I use the hotel to stay in when I am working in Leeds, its perfectly acceptable hotel experience, but lacks for eating facilities close by. Would be brilliant if the attached bar/restaurant was up and running.

First rate as always. Polite staff to check one in and out,very clean sound proof room. I always think it a shame that they don't stretch to a kettle and a coffee in the room,but such is a budget hotel,although for £40 per night one usually gets some kind of means to make a hot drink in the room.

Was a nice hotel with friendly staff easy to find, nice breakfast and area in the morning. However we had asked for an easy access room we was on the 8th floor, tight room and very low bed and at one point the toilet became blocked.

As someone who stays with Accor hotels fairly regularly, I know this hotel is not representative of the rest but, had it been my first stay I would never stay in an Accor hotel again; that is how bad it was. The staff are rude, I don't recall a single please or thank during the 48 hours I was there. I was staying for two nights, a friend had booked for one and me for the next. Despite requesting that we keep the room over that period we were locked out of it on three occasions, with our belongings in the room. Each time we trekked back to reception, each time no apology or explanation. At one point we had a loud knock on the door. I called out but got no reply. Minutes later, another knock and I again called out. This repeated eight times with no reply from whoever was knocking. Later, I asked at reception whether it had been hotel staff knocking. "Yes, it was him," came the reply, pointing to a colleague also behind reception. "What did he want?" I enquired. "I don't know you'll have to ask him." I was told. I asked and was told, "it doesn't matter." It was important enough to knock ten times but didn't matter? And why not reply when I called out? Room service was obvious only by its absence. The bed was not made once during our stay, towels were not refreshed. This, even though I raised it with reception. And yet, we knew room service had been in the room because one towel was taken but not replaced. On two occasions the reception staff misgendered me. As a trans woman it would be appropriate to refer to me with female pronouns. When the two occasions pronouns were used, I was called 'sir.' It felt deliberate, not something done in uneducated ignorance. Indeed, I would hope that such things are covered within Accor's staff training (if not, why not?). Finally, arriving back at the hotel in the early hours of Sunday morning after a great night out, the staff even managed to add a sour note to that. We were relaxing and chatting to a group of two young women and two young men who had also had a night out, when one of them spilled some drink he was getting from the machine. A member of staff came to mop it up and was vey rude to the man concerned. One of the women took objection to the rudeness and was told by your staff member that he did not expect a woman to talk to him in that way. She questioned what he meant by this and was told again that he did not expect women to talk to him in that way. She was being polite, calm and respectful and got rude, nasty and disrespectful in response. I went to the desk and asked for the night manager so I could formally complain to be told he was the night manager. I asked for his name, I was told Marco, and will be making more formal complaint. In short, until the staff are retrained and, in some instances fired, I would avoid this hotel like the plague!

Guy on front desk was polite enough but didn’t seem very happy, suppose we all have off days. After getting to our room we found we had one double bed with a single bunk bed above. This was fine however as we layed in he double bed looking up we noticed the underside of the bunk was full of brown stains and marks that just needed wiping off. As this intrigued me to look further I climbed onto the top bunk to find 2 dirty scrunched up tissues and several long black hairs..not inviting at all.

Wasn't expecting much from staying there as it was low budget. Room toilet kept smelling and the guy at the front desk thought we were being funny and never really resolved it. He joked it would go away once we left which was rude. We wanted to use a hairdryer and they wanted a 10-pound deposit. I said hell no. He finally gave in. Also my brother needed to use the bathroom on New years day in our room and they thought we were sneaking him in our room and hotel employees followed us and knocked on our room to check. We told him to go down and inform them when he had finished using our bathroom in case they kept harassing us.

After arriving at the hotel, which was greeted with a group of people stood on the steps smoking and drinking cans of larger, we tried to check in. After showing the receptionist our confirmation of the booking and full payment, we were informed that our booking was cancelled on the 5th December. I had an event on in Leeds on Thurs 28th so there is no way that I would have done this! I also stated that when booking we requested inter-connecting rooms due to having three children with us. I appreciate that the booking was made over the phone to a central booking office, but I did check that the hotel had this service available several times. The gentleman that I made the booking with didn't speak very good English, so this obviously caused the breakdown in communication. After several minutes of the receptionist trying to sort out the booking and checking to see if other Ibis hotels in Leeds had rooms with inter-connecting facilities, we were told that NO Ibis hotels offer this service and we had been misinformed! The other gentleman receptionist was extremely rude and unaccomodating, it we were eventually given key cards to our rooms. The rooms were not next to each other and both smelt strongly of cigarette smoke. I returned to the reception to ask if they could move us as this was not sufficient, but we were told there was nothing that they/ you could do to rectify the situation. At this point, I requested a refund due to the various problems and issues caused by staffing incompetences, but this was refused also. The hotel also failed to advise us that the facility also seems to be housing residents on a permanent basis, as per people that were on the steps as we arrived and we're moving in televisions and other items of furniture. We left the hotel without a refund and moved to a hotel that could actually accomate our family. This hotel is an absolute disgrace and I will be seeking further advice on being compensated for your incompentancy. The fact that you have taken my money is bad enough, but you totally destroyed what should have been a special Christmas treat and i hope to hear back from you at the nearest time Regards Emily G.
