Because of late check-in there was no possibility to pay with credit card because the system was closed already ???? Never heard that excuse before, we are living in a world of 24/7 on-line everything and anything and everywhere. But not in Ibis Istanbul... My wife and daughter were treated in a very strange way... rather not welcome and hostile ... We ordered room service (snacks) and on the phone I had to prove to the person on duty that I would be able to pay. I ensured that I would be able to pay with credit card. At delivery of the food again cash payment was asked, which I refused because I clearly said that I would pay bu card. The next morning at breakfast, the waiters were anxious to get us out of the breakfast area. Plates which were not touched yet were being taken away, our jackets on our chairs and seats were being taken away ... .... Never had this kind of experience in my life before.

« as with any experience it is the people who make it- in this case really good! »

The staff were all friendly- but importantly- were clearly able to let their personalities shine through- a pleasure in a world where the corporate hard sell is still too often present. This doesnt work for me- people being themselves and being sincere is what was good. Bed and breakfast good quality.

I use this hotel 3 to 4 times a year during buisness trips to Turkey. I fly from Eastern Turkey to Istanbul airport and stay in the IBIS overnight ready for my early flight home. When I booked the room via the website I immediately received a "your booking has been cancelled" notice. I tried to call the hotel, but I got the impression they did not want to talk to me. This was resolved by your customer service group in France. On arrival in Istanbul, the taxi rank was very busy. This is not the fault of the hotel, but a shuttle service would of been appreciated. This additional extra would really help business travellers. On arrival at the hotel, the hotel charged me for a room that was already paid for. This mistake was quickly rectified, but it should be obvious when a customer has paid in advance. For my return to the airport, I tried to pay the hotel on my credit card for the taxi. The hotel normally pays the taxi driver. This avoids me having to take out excess cash. In the past this service has been the main reason I have stayed at the hotel. However, the hotel only very reluctantly did this for me. The hotel is not as convenient as in the past, and I will be looking for alternatives in the future.

The room was not well ventilated. Except this there wa nothing wrong. I just stayed one night. I had my dinner in the otel which was pretty delicious. (mixed grill and beer)

« Excellent stay in Istanbul »

Evrything was excellent. A girl at reception [ Birgul ] was very helpfull and polite. Thank you Birgul. There is a shuttle from the hotel to Aya Sofia and its very practical and cheap. In this hotel there is free underground parking, very safe.

Due I haven't had a reservation and trying to get a room was hard that day, so I stopped at Novotel which was fully booked too. Thanks to front agents at the IBIS, which figured out and could get me a room for 1 night. Very friendly and totally professional the check in agent and the night audit Mr. Hüseyin. The Service in the restaurant with his breakfast was excellent. Thank you!

Check in process when I arrived at the hotel took very long, about 20 mins as there was only 1person working at around 12am. The room was clean and the bathroom was spacious. The air conditioning was very good. Breakfast was okay, just very overpriced at €9. My breakfast was included for free when I booked. The lifts are fast. On Sunday the my room was not cleaned. The rest of the days it was cleaned.

Very comfortable stay. Inviting hotel and lobby, beautifully refurbished. Clean rooms, according to expectations. Especially well received by hotel personnel. Öznur, the receptionist was very eager to help and gave us recommendations and practical advice. She was very helpful and made our stay truly better. Upon departure from the hotel, we ordered a pizza, which was promised to us to take 15 minutes to make. Eventually, it took 50, wich was very inconvenient as we had to take the train. The restaurant personnel offered the pizza with their compliments, which was very professional and was accepted gratefully. The pizza was very tasteful.

It was nice staying at your hotel, which is clean, reasonably priced and staff were friendly. Food at lunch was too expensive, five times more expensive than food in town, and a pepsi can was 3 times the price of a can in a shop. I was told that I should pay for breakfast which I have not ordered, but fortunately the member of staff enquired about this and then said to me I do not have to pay because it is an inputting error. The shuttle service was great. I recommend that you offer the service of taking guests to the nearest metro station. All in all, it was a great experience!
