« Well located hotel »

The staff are very friendly but there are flaws with the hotel. The hotel is next to a very busy road so it is essential to keep the windows closed for a good night's sleep. However, the air conditioning is not available (in November) which means that the rooms are far too hot even with the ventilation/heating system activated at the lowest setting. The hot food for the evening buffet is cools down by 20:00 which makes it a poor selection after about 19:45. There were faults in both rooms I stayed in (over two nights) which demonstrated poor levels of maintenance. The wifi is system gives a poor signal in some rooms. On the upside, the rooms are of a good size and the beds are very comfortable.

With a typing mistake I rented a room for one person, when I arrived with my girlfriend did not get in, I asked to UFUK at the front desk staff that I had a mistake at the reservation and could correct it and was still there I'm willing to book another room, was not possible, and we have to go to another hotel. I am very sorry that I am facing this situation as long as customers at Accor hotels. A week ago, at Mercure Taksim, I had a lot of content, I will never come again.

The hotel was clean and quiet. The bed very comfortable. The room however was very hot and the thermostat wasn't adjustable. Additionally the coffee machine in the room dis not work. The breakfast was wonderful.

« Beautiful hotel, but don't scratch the surface »

While the facility was beautiful and the food fantastic, I've had much much better experiences. I'm not sure I can attach a photo to form, but my room looked fine, until I dropped something under the couch - which had forgotten cigarettes, nail clippings, and all kinds of grossness from not having been cleaned in a considerable amount of time (I took a photo) - the same goes for under the bed. It wasn't until my third day, that I realized I wasn't having random break-outs, but I was covered in bed-bug bites. Thankfully I was also checking out that day. Finally, the amount of hoopla I had to go through to check in was ridiculous - all because someone ELSE from my organization hadn't made my booking to coincide with the training. Which is obnoxious, since I was paying up front. They threatened not to give me the group rate - even though I was clearly registered with the group, had name tags and other material in my name. I'm part of a sector that regularly hosts events and trainings in Istanbul - and I won't be returning to this hotel any time soon.

not in the center but 30' from airport. you can find basic services at good price. good wellness club with sauna and gym. good room (pity for moquette on the floor not too much clean) good breakfast also if really expensive camprized with room cost

Everything was fine, except the room amenities - we didn't have shampoo and dush gel after the first day, we have only one glass for coffee, water. The other - Restaurant, check-in, service, was perfect! Thanks for everybody, we feel very welcome every time.

There was no Cool Air conditioning in the room leads to damage of some chocolates and sweets were collected as gifts. add to it irresponsibility and improper action from hotel staff. And the best solution was recommended by hotel supervisor to open window and enjoy traffic noise!!!!!!! Never will visit this hotel. and will make sure to share this experience with maximum number of Saudi ppl.

« Terrible restaurant- very bad house keeping- friendly staff »

How come the classic Turkish manti turned into an unhealthy distasteful dish. The fish I ate (levrek) was also dry, with No flavor. I said they can't screw up a simple salad, the final day of my stay I ordered my salad. Guess what, no cheese in the salad despite its listed within the ingredients... And the housekeeping; I had to beg for a new pair of towels every day. Not to mention the already dirty floors when I first entered the room. Overall the facility is a nice one but apparently is maintained badly.

I have never been so uncomfortable among friends. This hotel and the group are some of my best hotel friends around the world. Unfortunately, this hotel continues to fail me woefully. This time, the discomfort was unbearable as THEY DO NOT HAVE A FUNCTIONING AIR-CONDITIONING SYSTEM. I could not sleep in the Istanbul night heat of early October and I was "compensated" the hotel, opening the windows. The midnight car traffic from the very scenic and road over looking the Marmara sea, was equally killing. I planned to stay for two nights, but I couldn't else I would have suffocated in the heat. I didn't even care if I was going to get a refund for the one night I had paid for, but I was told by the hotel they would refund this. HORRIBLE experience and this was not the first time at this hotel.

« Reasonable Stay »

I have only stayed for one night at this hotel. The check in process was very good, staff very polite and efficient. The roon was average, in my opinion it was in a lower standard than the hotel itself - especially the bathroom. Very poor. However, the really bad point about the hotel was internet access. The conexion was very hard to access and extremely slow: even a simple text e-mail took more than a minute to download. Impossible to work. Since I was on a business trip, it was a huge handicap.

« Pleasant staff in a hotel which needs to pay more attention to details »

The staff were pleasant and generally helpful. However, there were several small things which were poor. I put the breakfast request card on the door of my room before I went to bed, but it was not collected during the night, so I had to go down to reception to hand it in and have breakfast delivered to my room. There was no minibar price list. The carpet in the corridor outside my room looked as if it had not been cleaned with a vacuum cleaner recently. The shower in the swimming pool changing room had not been cleaned and tidied for some time - there were plastic caps from shower gel bottles in it, and an old bottle of shampoo and an old tube of shower gel. Finally, the wooden decking outside the gym has holes in it.
