« great service but requires some fine tuning »

the hotel facilities are good, gym equipment lacks free weights and space, really only room for three people at best. Breakfast is the worst breakfast I have encountered, visiting Singapore is a foodies heaven, but breakfast here was sad. Little or no Asian selections, poor meat selection, over cooked bacon, soggy noodles, it goes on. No coffee service

I have stayed in Singapore quite a few times before and found that this Hotel position to be very good and fairly central for me , As an Accor member it was great to get the extras that we required like later check out etc , Room was over looking the river and Clarke Quay which was also good, room presented as advertised at booking . the only problem was sorting out certain account discrepancy during stay but all sorted in the end , a better understanding of some staff would have helped also a better explanation for myself ... to add to this all staff were very accommodating . All in all a very nice short stay

Once again a great stay, would get a 10 every time if it had a better gym. Stayed on the Premier floor again and enjoyed the benefits of the lounge and the staff who work there - Carla, Mera, Naz, Richard and Serena thanks for a very comfortable stay.

We arrived about 1.30 am after a long flight from Sydney with a weary 6 year old. Daniel was there to greet us at check in and he handled it both quickly and efficiently. In no time at all we were gratefully tucked up in bed. We found all our staff interactions to be pleasant

I enjoyed my stay at the hotel. The facilities were good and the location was great. It was walking distance to MRT and food centre with Clarke Quay just 50 metres away.

It was a pleasant stay this as it was our second time staying with Novotel Clarke Quay. We like the spacious rooms and pleased with the location, which offers dining choices within the hotel compound. However, maybe there can be more cleaning done to the windows as they are quite badly stained with water marks and dirt. Supposedly the view is good but with the stains..... For our suite stay, we were given the prerogative to have breakfast and drinks at the lounge but we could not really enjoy it because we have young children. Maybe it is good to open up another child-friendly lounge area offering the same amenities within. It was great initiative that I was allowed to pack breakfast to our room but it would have been better if we were given a choice to dine in with the kids, other than allowing for food packing. It will be good to include an express checkout since we have already given credit card details when we checked-in. I am not sure if I could settle my checking-out at the lounge but same issue as above, it is not open to children. Customer Experience was excellent. Great staff, smiles and assistance rendered throughout the hotel.

« The experience was alright , nothing exceptional »

The room was not ready be 2pm , so we were upgraded to a Premier room without access to the lounge. The bed in the room was very hard. The bathroom was not very clean, appeared mouldy, the shower door did not close completely. The one positive thing we found was that the concierge , Mohammad Mukriz was very helpful while we found a couple of your other staff were3 not quite as responsive.

Upon check in was advised that only rooms left were with single beds. I didn’t particularly enjoy sleeping separated from my husband. Room had a distinctive smell in it and was quite ran down. Bathroom had hair and dust buildup behind the door in the jam and along the floor. Tiles were half falling off around the bath and tiles lifting on the floor. Grout missing around in shower and dirt buildup around outside of shower. Door to shower did not close properly as had dropped so scrapped on tiles. Large stain in the entrance on carpet where door had been rubbing along. The only good thing about hotel was the staff friendliness and the location. Wouldn’t recommend to friends and family as rooms are just not up to standard.

We were lucky enough to get upgraded to a premium suite which made our stay wonderful. The staff were excellent & we loved the Samsung phone that we were supplied. There was a huge selection for breakfast to suit every taste We did eat at the restaurant twice for dinner with our 4 year old and was disappointed that we were not offered a kids menu on the first occasion (so had to buy a full size meal). Having said that, he ate the whole meal anyway & it was delicious.

Overall great quality in customer support and service. I would especially comment in Aikho and Madeline Chen from Singapore Novotel on the overall arragement and service. Exceptionally good. That is the main reason I gave a 7 (positive). On the negative side, the condition was quite bad for certain room especially in the toilet with mold and dirt. e.g. Check room 1402 in the showering area.

« Comfortable but a few to many issues »

Our stay did not start off well with our hotel arranged pickup at the airport being one hour late and then making us wait a further 15minutes at the pickup point. The check in staff seemed to miss the significance of this issue, after a long flight the last thing you need is to be waiting at the airport for a long period when you arranged a premium pickup. Our hotel room was comfortable and quiet but on the second night the hot water stopped working and the the phone also had a fault so we couldn’t ring our friends in another room. The hot water was fixed very quickly by a very competent man but the phone remained faulty right the way through our stay. We arranged a transfer to the cruise terminal (a short distance away) with the hotel and although it was a very nice vehicle we were shocked when the driver asked us for $55 for the trip. The fare in a taxi is less than $10
