Nice hotel in good location. Novotel Clarke Quay is located on a beautiful convenience spot. Plenty of restuarant and opposite forth canning park. MRT forth canning station is just one minute away. Prompt check in and check out. Staff and breakfast are great. We stayed at a suite room. The room was nice and big with beautiful view however the room was quite dated and getting tired. Need to improve lighting system as the room was still quite dark with all lights turned on.

WE recently stayed at The Novotel for 3 nights on our return from Thailand back to NZ. This hotel is situated right next to Clarke Quay and is fairly central in Singapore, its location is great with easy access to MRT just round the corner and taxis are cheap as chips too with taxis arriving regularly at the main door, so not long to wait to get out and about. The staff were excellent, very attentive and so helpful. We changed room 3 times when we first arrived due to the fact that we were unhappy with the 1st 2 as we were too close to the lifts with the 1st room and my partner would not have slept very well & the 2nd room had a bit of a musty smell to it & being on the 20th floor again my partner had abit of vertigo so we were given a room down on the 14th floor closer to other family members on our trip. I know we were abit fussy and I was very apologetic to the reception staff but they were fantastic, being understanding about our "issues" and they said it wasn't a problem so we were very appreciative of their professional attitude and demeanour and for their assistance to help their demanding clients and make us happy. With regard to the room we had I thought it does look a little dated in terms of decor and could probably do with an update as we've stayed at quite a few Novotel hotels and it's probably not quite as good as others we've stayed at (sorry) but it was ok. Our 1st room was looking towards the Singapore Flyer and Marina Bay Sands but the 2nd and our final room was overlooking the pool & city & despite the decor, the room was clean, tidy, quiet and the beds very comfortable. We had a great sleep (we had twin beds so had a bed each rather than a king bed but we were ok with that) and we had to thank the lovely lady who manned the desk opposite the check in as she helped us obtain a late check out which made a huge difference for us since we weren't due to fly out of Singapore till late and being able to depart the hotel at 4.30pm was such a big help. We were very grateful for the benefits that having a Gold Accor card can provide but I think the staff at this hotel will help all their guests the same way if possible, I cannot stress how impressed we were with the service from the staff here, they were excellent. We also ate food from the Le Rouge bar as well as had breakfast at the restaurant on our first morning and the food was lovely, very enjoyable, kids loved the pancakes! So would we stay here again? Yes Definitely!

A little disappointing;below expectation & previous experience of a Novotel Hotel

We initially stayed Jul 5- 8 in Room 911. We had a few issues from the moment we checked in. Firstly we checked in on line as prompted by Accor & as we had a very short time before we needed to be at an event. On arrival our check in did not appear to be prepared; in fact it took a lot longer than our friends who were neither Accor members nor had they checked in on line. Our other issues were about our room - the windows were extremely dirty & when we pulled back the curtains it was evident that nso were the curtains. As a result we were unable to gain enough natural light for the makeup artist to work with in preparing us for a wedding on Sat 6/7. In addition the bathroom was particularly dark & the light inadequate for applying makeup. As the bathroom mirror was placed too high for my height (I am 5ft) & with poor light, I elected to do my makeup in the hall mirror outside our room door. Our second visit on 10/7 was a more positive experience, although we only stayed overnight. This time we did not check in on line in advance.

Only issue was the person travelling with me on business did not qualify for the same advantages as me. I booked both rooms but he was not allowed the late check out or access to the lounge. This was OK as we went outside the hotel and didn't use what the hotel had to offer. I saw no problem with him joining me in the lounge as there were family's of 4 and more using the facilities and I'm sure that each member of the families did not have membership status.

While checking in, saw a lady who seemed to be the senior at the check-in counter. she seemed rude while displaying a proud attitude towards us. Even the way she talked to her staffs does not seemed right. Room is dimly lighted even with all the lights turned on...designs and everything else look outdated. worst of all...the espresso coffee machine jug is half filled with yellowish water that seemed to have been there for days. uncomfortable stay for us. China male housekeeper was very very rude...the worst we have came across!!! he seemed to hate his job and pulled the longest face and respond with rude tone and gestures when I asked for some toiletries as we ran out of it.... FIRST AND LAST TIME WE WILL STAY IN NOVOTEL !!! SWISSOTEL MERCHANT COURT JUST ACROSS THE STREET IS 10 TIMES BETTER !!!

Our first stay here since getting Platinum status and enjoyed all the benefits provided. Because we had our young grand daughter with us we could not have meals or drinks in the Premium lounge but were able to take drinks and snacks back to our room which was fine. A complimentary rollaway bed was provided for our grand daughter and the room was still comfortable for the three of us. We had breakfast each day in the main restaurant and found the food to be good. However on the Saturday and Sunday the staff really struggled to keep up with the demand for hot food and waiting time was quite long - more staff needed on the weekend I feel. Hotel is in a great location, friendly and efficient staff and is very popular place to stay.

Stay for 2 nights here, really enjoyed the rooms and hotel facility! Having experienced for dinner here and the foods was good, tasty and so various menu. Breakfast menu was good, fresh and yummy! Checking in process was smooth, fast and feel welcome. The view from Premier Lounge is beautiful, really enjoyed happy hour and ambiance of the lounge. Would like to thanks to Ms. Serena and Clara from Premier Lounge, their assistance and great service made us felt comfy. For sure, will come back here while my travel bring me back to Singapore.
