« Hotel Sofitel a pleasure in Al-Khobar »

I was very pleased when I checked into the Sofitel in Al-Khobar. The room was very nice but felt that the restaurant Quality and options were very limited. The service staff were a 7 out of 10. I found the furniture in the lobby smelled like carpet that had carpet freshner sprinkled on them the vacuumed. Room cleanliness was quite nice.

« 5 star hotel without minimum feature »

actually, I was surprised form the hotel and the service too sorry to say that but actually, this hotel shall be changed this management totally or bring another hotel manger with a new vision and strategies during my stay, I was not feeling comfortable with all dimensions. my say was for business even the classroom the chairs were not comfortable also the printer was not working. my door card had replaced it every day, missing for a towel the good thing, employ his initiative and reaction that he makes my day after preparing a small cake and juice due to my wedding anniversary. the guy he is working in the coffee bar at M floor (i think his name markos)

« Excellent Place especially for long stay »

Marvellous view to the gulf, refreshing walking/jogging to the cornice, nice area with many good restaurants. Excellent personnel make us feel like home, very nice breakfast and food to the hotel restaurant, well organized and clean gym-spa-internal pool and spacious rooms. the hotel although is not the newest or the most luxurious to the area, it is elegant and classy.

I enjoyed the 5 nights and was giving a course for Mobily , the reception Saudis, male and female, were fantastic, bravooooo get more Saudis , the chefs were great and Chef Nepal cooked excellent pancakes and eggs, and Ibrahim fixed a Mankoushi for me in the morning , which I recommend you add to our breakfast menu . The room was always clean and very well maintained, all in all it was a good experience , your business center needs attention yet the administrative people helped with some copies , all in all Thank You

Overall nice experience. There are some improvements that I may suggest. Breakfast Restaurant: Waiters in the restaurant were not very responsive. For example I asked multiple times different waiters to get me the omelette I ordered from the cook but they never did. Waiters should do more than just serve coffee. I'll be happy to pay a tip so that I can sit for a while without constantly having to get up. Bedroom: I don't like the blanket being stuffed so tightly under the mattress. Most European hotels just lay them flat on top for a liberating experience. Bedroom: The red ottoman in front of the bed is in the way and dangerous, because it leaves only a narrow passageway between it and the TV. At night I got up to go to the bathroom and tripped over it, luckily only hurting my knee. It could have been much worse. It's low and you can't see it well. If the room had been bigger it would have been ok, but not for this narrow room.
