I always look forward to cleaning my carpets because I get the opportunity to stay a night at my favourite local hotel. I've stayed at a number of ibis hotels and ibis Christchurch does ibis better than most. Surprise this visit was that ibis Christchurch has adopted the new corporate scheme which does away with the red door frames etc, which I first discovered at ibis Adelaide. Very contemporary. But the most important thing is that nothing else has change. They do everything well.

Kali was excellent checking me in. Your staff really represent the brand well. You could do more with menu selection for in-room dining and a few repairs in the room (window shade and paint refresh in corners of wall). I stayed in room 321. Thanks.

With a family of 15 we arrived on the afternoon, and was checked in by a very cheerful gentleman. The same night, my daughter suffered her first ever asthmatic attack. The same gentleman immediately organised a taxi for us to the emergency hospital. When we got back a few hours later after midnight, the gentleman offered us late checkout if we required it. What a very thoughtful and considerate man! Thank you thank you for your help, it was so heartwarming especially on our first day arriving the country!
