« Clean, comfortable and convenient  »

This was an emergency as our car broke down. I found the hotel on the Accor app and booked through it. We arrived at the hotel with the clothes we stood in and made the payment and went to our room. It may be budget but it was clean and everything was there, so we could shower and freshen up. We had a comfortable night's sleep, another shower then off to sort the car out.

« Room is just so so »

The beds are ok. The TV light stay on all the time (the digital clock). The WC is too low and really not comfortable, plus the flush is not strong enough. No privacy when you take a shower. The room in the Ibis budget next to the Accor Arena in Paris is for example much better, for a similar price. Otherwise the staff is extremely friendly and the location is great.

Very well located at 5 min walk from Sete city center. Leave your car in the private parking and go and explore Sete by day & night. Nice walk tour in town and the hill of sete from the Hotel.

« Good value for the price. Good bed. Well functioning aircondition even outsude temperature 36 degrees »

Good value. Good bed. Funcitioning aircondition. The room was nice and cool even the outside temperature was more than 3 degrees. Friendly english speaking stuff. Walking distance from the city. Parking place with reasonable price. Cheap mini breakfast for a little bit more than 2,5 euros.

Good position, easy to find, plenty of parking on site. It would have had a higher rating if the air conditioning had been working. It was difficult to sleep because of the heat in the room and the light in the car park shone directly into the room if the window was opened more than a few centimetres.

We have stayed here many times before and find it very good value especially in the off peak season or when booking ahead. The receptionist, Gloria, is especially friendly but also very helpful. Good breakfast and great carparking. But our air conditioning in the room seemed faulty. At the lowest setting, 10 deg, it was stifling. Not usually a problem.

Dear sir/madam, My stay at your hotel in sète centre was not agreeable unfortunately. The initial issue was a shower unit which is poorly maintained meaning that water all too easily flows into the room from under the closed shower door; the problem is easily fixed but this clearly is not a priority for the current management, in m opinion. I took a shower late before going to bed only to find when I stepped out into the room several litres of water on the floor and reaching 1 metre under my bed! It was 12:30am and I was too tired to call the nightmanagerso I cleaned up the flood using the hotel bath towels and one bathroom rug. I was lucky my charging iPad was not damaged as it was near the shower unit, beneath the sink, on the floor. (There were only two available wall sockets, one by the tv which was used for my phone, the second by the sink.) The same applies to my luggage and some items I had unpacked; my passport was by my suitcase for examine. I also had a small fall due to the slippy floor but that was not a serious issue for me at this moment. I was more upset about how I had had a close miss, as we say; what if my iPad and passport had been covered in water? All in all it was an inconvienence to be mopping up water at 1am and one which I feel should not occur. I noted that the wall section under the shower tray was clearly showing signs of frequent water damage and I would confidently guess I was not the first guest of room 110 this has occurred to? So in the morning I informed the breakfast supervisor of the incident and asked to speak with the manager. The manager was not present in the morning I was told but she would inform him and that he would be in later? Only for this reason did I come back at midday hoping my feedback would be noted and possibly an apology would be offered? The director /manager was conducting a long phone call, in the rear car park, when I arrived. I waited 15 mins in the lobby once or twice trying to attract his attention but he was not responsive. After 20mins I politely interrupted his call, it appeared to be a private call from the nature of his conversation, and tried to quickly explain my issue. My French is limited and I did my best to explain. He indicated he would be a minute. He had not been briefed on this matter it was clear. I waited 10more minutes in the lobby. The director finished his call, out in the car park, entered the hotel lobby, saw me still waiting and immediately turned away. He went back to the car park and made another phone call. After 10more minutes he finished that call and we finally went to the room. I tried to explain my experience the previous night to him and showed him how the water exits the shower basin even when the door is closed. I said it was a futile meaning a type of water leak. He looked in the shower, saw no problem, said The shower head must be turned into the left into the shower wall and in thaT way no leaking of water occurs. He said it was my own faul that water had gone to the floor. that there is no issue with this shower. His manner was abrupt and frankly arrogant at this stage. I pointed to the previous damage on the wall under the shower tray as evidence of a recurring water issue ; he was not interested and said what was it I wanted? I turned on the shower to illustrate the issue. Water came pouring out. He said I was wrong to do that. I was out of order turning on the water and flooding the room. He went out to get some towels from the cleaning woman nearby. "He went on to state that I was lying about any flooding as the cleaner had just cleaned the room some hours earlier. He used the word me songs I remember. All this was said in French to me. I told him I had dried up all the water myself, on my hands and knees. I said I didn't think this was normal as a paying guest. I spoke my broken French best I could. Again the manager refuted my experience and called my character into question. He said I was lying about the incident. He was happy that no problem existed he said. "What is you want anyway "he said to me? What am I after? What is my expectation? I had had enough at this stage. I wanted to leave without delay, so I did. I left feeling humiliated and upset at his manner. That was the end of our conversation. I have had several days to reflect on this now and I have spoken with some colleagues too. All are displeased with my story and I feel frankly the manner in which this manager treated me reflects poorly on your hotel group. I don't understand why he was defensive and so dismissive. My French is not good so was that a contributing factor? I used some English too but he made no attempt to communicate clearly despite my limitations with French. I can only imagine that the two lengthy phone calls he had conducted earlier while walking in the guests car park had upset him? Irrespective it was in my opinion unprofessional of him to treat me in this fasihion. It is inexcusable behaviour to be so rude to a guest. This bad experience has remained with me and that is so unnecessary. I am interested to see how you respond to my feedback? I really will have second thoughts now about using ibis hotels in the future. It has left a bad feeling with me to be frank. I have stated in ibis and Novotel hotels n Paris, Budapest, nice, London and I always found them to well run. Now I have another negative experience to inform my future choice for accomodation. I know you will agree that it is never correct to mistreat a guest in this way. Yours sincerely, Columb Gilna

Budget hotel gives great value for money. Comfortable bed, very clean. Functional room with all we needed. Staff very efficient and helpful. Breakfast was a good price and was everything we needed. Would stay in an ibis budget again.
