I made a booking for week 14 to 17 Oct though Booking.com. Unfortunately my schedule changed and I need to come earlier. Your team really supported me and I was able to change the stay dates. I also broke my luggage handle but your concierge team is able to help me fix it. Well done! What was not satisfactory was the toilet did not work well on the final night.

i have been at this hotel for over 1500 days and counting I have see changes, some good and some bad . i guess this is normal. I consider most of the people that work there part of my Asian family I got to meet some of the employees family, Now we are at a time with the German head cook gone and now the German Manager gone. What will become of this hotel .Time will tell. In the last few years i have had direct contact with the General manager which was great . We are in different world but since we both come from European background and that was a plus. I enjoyed telling him about my country and what was going on I gave him two sides and he was only getting one side because of the limited news coverage I also gave the general management my opinion which was well received most of the time I hope the new GM and I have the same relationship

As usual the club/lounge level always gives me the comfort and the homely feel. 2 thumbs up for their friendliness and services. But it would be good to see more familiar faces there so that they would remember the regular guest and what they usually likes. Just to add on there is a foul/sewage smell which I believe is coming from the shower drainage during my stay. This experience was similarly shared with another of my colleague as well. This trip is a special for me because my company and my Thailand partners had a small event held at Grand Mercure Fortune. As promised in my previous writing I did manage to get my company to have the event held here due to my positive experience. And I am hoping to share this along with my colleagues, business partners and the guest that was invited for this event. But apparently there are several frustration situation that arises during the arrangement of this event. I would not go too much of the details as I believe the personnel involved should have done her best. The main point that I would like to drive on (i believe) is the communication between the inter department e.g. between the event dept and the front desk, event dept between guest/payee. 1) The event package (included accommodation benefits) that was agree upon was not flow down to the front desk thus resulting in confusion and delay on the check out process (e.g. laundry services/charges). The guest would need to produce the letter that was signed between my company and the hotel as a proof. This caused so much frustration and delay in the check out. 2) Pre event preparation was delayed due to the extension of the current event resulting in my Thailand partners had to extend their working hours. We all had prep and shifted our schedule accordingly to the time agree but delayed to 1.5hrs later just so that the hotel can make that extra 1.5hrs out from the existing event at the expense of our time? We ended late that day on our preparation tired and hungry. 3) Paper work on payment e.g. buffet lunches, rooms packages, additional charges which is totally not smooth and with several discrepancies . If the person in charge of payment on my side was not present, then I would have incurred additional unnecessary charges and even though if rectified thereafter, it will be a mess of CN & DN. Therefore the administrative portion causes much frustration. With the above mentioned scenario, it prompts me to figure whether if this is a regular experiences that other event guest experiences or it is simply just unlucky on my side. I mean I had put my trust on Grand Mercure Fortune to excel in my event and encourages my team to have this event here in the first place. But to my embarrassment it did not go as well as I was expecting. This feedback that I am giving is purely for Grand Mercure Fortune to analyze and to see whether if there is any process or procedure that can be further improved.
