As I manage Southeast Asia for my organisation, I'm a frequent traveller and travel every week to various cities in SEA. This stay is by far the worst experience in all my travels. First, there was a pungent stench on the room assigned to me on 20th floor and I asked for a change. This was well managed by the hotel staff and I was reassigned a room on 17th floor. I made the change and met my staff at the lobby lounge for a quick meeting. To my surprise, I was locked out of my room. Checking with the concierge, I went up and down from my room to concierge for 3 times, and was still locked out. Eventually, concierge asked for the hotel manager to attend to myself and I was shocked to learn that I was locked out of the room on purpose. Citing that I had damage the iron on my former assigned guest room on 20th floor, hence, locking me out and asking me to sign off for 1,500THB of payment immediately. I find this alarming for a hospitality outfit. 1) I cannot be sure if iron is indeed damaged by me. I did not check all the furniture when I enter the room 2) Why is there a need to lock me out of the room, couldn't this be handled during checkout 3) I do not think an old iron is worth 1,500THB . This is an amazing ripoff 4) I will let me HR know and my staff not to stay in Accor Hotels in future.

By personal choice we have stayed at the hotel many times over several years. While always good in the Thai way, have noticed improvement in service performance (including as delivered by newer staff). We are uncertain whether this has been subject to close attention, but our experiences and interactions with many areas of the hotel was faultless over the give day's of this visit !! Breakfast place has limited seats. Room slippers are recycled which is uncommon and I had to pay for it because I took the pair that I didn't use. All hotels I stayed in do not recycle room slippers.

The hotel is located in one of busiest street in Bangkok but inside it's quiet. The underground train station in in front of the hotel. The staff is friendly. The room is clean with comfort bed and good lights. Japanese buffet is worth to try and hotel guest got good price same as dinner buffet.

I was staying in room 2217. The room was clean and comfortable. However, the few power plugs around the room had some issues. Whenever I press the "Master" switch to turn off the lights to sleep, the power will switch off at all the power plugs. Also, the air-con turns off in the middle of the night. I have to take out the key card from the door entrance, wait for the whole room power to switch off, insert the keycard again a few times before the air-con comes on again. Also, the lobby is crowded with many guests. I can understand that due to high volume of guests, it will be crowded and noisy. However, I hope that staff can advice guests not to play with balls and bats around the lobby. I happen to witness a few near accidents. Also, the high volume caused a lot of unhappiness at the breakfast restaurant, due to pushing and staff not able to cope with the high volume. Thank you!

I've liked the overall ambiance and the hotel for it's service/people. firstly, would like to thank Cat and Rafa for the best reception at check-in. miew was quite good as well. concierge is very good in understanding the needs. services/VIP lounge/Laundry/ the call answering by executives is exceptionally good. Location was good for our liking.
