Location is very convenient as it’s in central Ginza also near to the subway stations. However I felt the hotel is bit outdated . I understand that hotel is middle of the refurbishment though. Also hopefully the Restaurant and bar area to be different seating arrangements.

We enjoyed our time at the Mercure Tokyo Ginza hotel. This was the first time we visited Japan. We were stressed and tired when catching a train from the airport, then changed to another line at the Nippori station, although we had prepared with Google map and instructions. We asked people at the stations, on the trains, but a few people spoke a few English words. We finally found the hotel. The staff was very nice and well trained. To avoid the first bad experience, we asked the staff how to get to the Narita airport from the hotel. They provided very good information that we caught a limousine bus and went straight to Narita and it was cheaper than the Express train. Highly recommend the Mercure Tokyo Ginza Hotel.

Feel very good with the location as it’s very convenient to Disneyland via subway directly at the basement. Check-in reception also greet me as previously-stayed guess and say welcome back again. This small thing makes me feel much impressed. The overall stay is excellent

The staff at front office are not welcome, they never smile and not friendly i’m not sure but i think they’re not japanese (no offense) but different with the staff which is a japanese women, they are very helpful and have a great attitude (always smile and try their best to help)

This is my 2nd stay at the Mercure Hotel Ginza and I've left feeling very impressed again. This was a last minute booking as we had to change our travel plans due to the earthquake in Osaka, so decided to overnight in Tokyo instead. Booking through the Accor website was easy to navigate. Check in was very quick and smooth, the front desk staff were very helpful in suggesting places to eat around the area of the hotel. Room interior is a little outdated, but not too bad. Most importantly everything was clean and there were sufficient amenities for the night. Bedding and pillow was very comfortable, the best out of the other 2 hotels I've stayed during our trip in Takayama (Best Western Hotel) and Kyoto (New Miyako Hotel). The only thing I would pick on is the Evian bottled water, just didn't taste very nice, maybe not to my liking. Again, the front desk staff the next morning were extremely accommodating and helpful, looking up places to eat Japanese style fluffy pancakes in Shibuya, and which drug stores to go to that weren't as busy as the Matsumoto Kiyoshi 2 blocks down from the hotel. Extremely accommodating with helping us extend a late checkout, as time was very limited for us to go to Tsukiji markets in the morning and last minute shopping around Ginza. Check out was again, quick and efficient, and the front desk staff were friendly, we had a good chat about what we did in Japan. Hands down to your front desk team, they have made my stay very welcoming. and pleasant. Even though Ginza is referred to a more expensive, upmarket area of Tokyo, I would still highly recommend it to family and friends. I'm looking forward to my next trip and stay at the hotel again :)

The room rate is fair considering the location at Ginza. Room size is big enough for a couple and bigger than most same room rate hotel in this area. B1 connect to Metro station Ginza-itchome and 10 minutes walk to Ginza main station.

Initial impression was not good as we were allocated an interconnected room in spite of asking for a quiet room. There was bound to be noise from next door. In addition, the room smelt strongly of cigarette smoke . After complaint, We were allocated another room which is much better without any trace of cigarette smoke. The staff at the reception was helpful. A special thanks to Ms Masako Inoue who was very helpful on all occasions and her communication was very clear.
