We liked the Mercure Ginza very much as they provide a super friendly service, rooms are relatively spacious for Japan but the internet connections was not always the best

We felt very welcome. Only a small issue trying to explain to your housekeeping staff when we didn't need a room cleaned as my wife wasn't feeling well. The room was fine to survive another day.

« Obviously not suitable for traveller with baby »

The hotel stay overall is okay. Especially considering with the price for the hotel located at such convenience location. However, as a leader club silver status member, I don't feel I received privilege service than non members. I need to stay for 3 nights and I found that the hotel has a stay plus room for Accor Plus member. But I can only book the free night by separate it into 3 single booking. I am not possible to book that free night with another 2 consecutive nights with prepay(as free breakfast will be provided for booking in consecutive nights). But interestingly I found it is possible to do so 1 week before my stay and as the booking had been prepaid so I am not possible to change the booking. The hotel can't provide a bathing tube for baby as most of the hotel can offer. They do provide a baby Cot but it is really too old to use as the Cot is loosely fit and will be hurt by the gap of the fence easily. The breakfast is free but it is disappointing for a 4 stars hotel and I am sure will not dine in if I need to pay for that. Although I know it should not take it for granted the hotel didn't provide an upgrade for my room for the reason of full booking. However I am sure that I can book the next class room on the official website just before check-in. If I am not an le club member, surely I will not stay here as there are plenty of better choice e.g. Mitsui garden millennium which have enjoyable breakfast and better location for travelers to commute from airport by train.

Nevertheless let me kindly inform you that it was indeed fully booked in upper room category and that the free upgrade is subject to availability only from Gold Status. My family enjoyed 5 nights in a twin room in February. The location was perfect for getting around Tokyo. Only 5 minute walk to Ginza Station and very close to shopping and restaurants. Also walking distance to Tsukiji Fish markets. Room was unexpectedly quiet for centre of busy city.

The hotel staff were friendly. The room was clean. However the heat was too strong making the room too hot. Despite it being just around 0 degree celcius outside, we had to switch to air conditioning mode in order to breathe and sleep more comfortably.

Breakfasts were adequate but food that should be crisp should be kept in a way to enable this not one that allows it to become soggy. Some food that should be hot, was not. Room walls were very marked. My daughter stayed in a room beside the evacuation stairwell. Due to ventilation machinery it was very noisy and she reported it kept her awake at night. Otherwise the hotel was good.
