I checked in and my room was dirty and messy

I arrived at Ibis Santos Dumont at 1 AM, after a long trip, and had the displeasure of having my room completely messy: the bed had not been set, the restroom was dirty and the bin full of trash. I found it completely disrespectful. Unfortunately, I was so tired I didn't complain immediately. Instead, I slept in a messy bed that had clearly been used earlier, but not cleaned. I told the attendant what happened when I left, once I only stayed there for a few hours before taking a flight, and her answer was "You should have told me at the time and I would have you moved somewhere else". I personally think it is not something to happen in an international standard hotel. I hope I will never have to stay in any of Ibis facilities ever again in my life.

It was a great experience staying so close to my parties in Rio. I walked from the airport to the hotel no hassle and easy to find. Leticia at reception was excellent and delivered great customer service. Made me feel welcome being my first time in Brazil. The room is basic but I hardly stayed in as I was there for the parties. Comfortable beds.

The air conditioning was a mite colony. We had to open the window hopping the weather wasn’t that hot, because if we kept with the a/c on, we would get sick. Also the bathroom could have an air fan once doesn’t have window. It was the last time we stayed there. They also tried to charge twice for the breakfast. The only good thing is that is close to the airport but I rather pay for uber from a better place far away.

No complaint regarding the service provided. Registration was easy and they were very helpful at the front desk. Room was clean and cleaning was daily. However, regarding the amenities, it would have been nice to have a gym facility.

Went to the room took a nap, went tintais a shower, I saw black mold on the bathroom walls, requested to be moved to other room, so got the the other room black mold again on the bathroom, spoke with the manager she went to another room still black mold on the 4th room finally no black mold I was very disturbed back mold can sick u specially staying in the room for 5 days very dissatisfied and disappointed

The hotel employees are very simpathetic and pay a lot of attention to guests. It is importante to emphasize that they are polite. It would be great if the rooms structures were not very old and full of issues. I had to change rooms twice since the first two had ar codintion leaking a lot. It is an issues that could be avoid with preventive maintenance, however looked me that the Hotel allow that to reduce cost, since that machines look old and breaked.

We found the reception staff not friendly and not helpful when we inquired about transport to the airport. The breakfast was basic with poor quality and choice of food. Overall, our experience was unsatisfactory and we will not be returning or recommending this hotel.

Although the stay in the hotel was satisfactory. I felt cheated when I discovered that my credit card was charged with the breakfast fees (u$s 15). My reservation clearly stated that breakfast was included. When I first checked-in, the receptionist told me that it was not included. After I showed the reservation he confirmed that yes, it was included (in bad English). But now I've to pay extra. I've traveled all around the world and it is the first time it happened to me. I'm really dissatisfied. Of course I'll rate accordingly in Tripadvisor and booking.com

I only stayed with you for a couple of hours as I was in transit. I came in from SP late at night and then I had to take another plane in the morning. What i remember from the trip was that the staff were super friendly and really nice. There was a guy at the reception who was so adorable, I can't quite remember his name, younger guy with short hair, light brown skin, ear piercing and glasses (maybe Gabriel?, but not sure), super nice guy. And then the girl who served me breakfast in the morning so was incredibly nice as well. it was great!!!!!

Room was ok clean towels were there each day. Lifts were frequently out of service so do to amount of people using them it was nearly always a while to wait . There was a fire alarm that went off at 1 pm of 28/12/18 , at no point did staff interact with guests , no communication on weather we we all ok and no explanation on what reason was , no fire register was taken to see if all guests were present and accounted for , of which surely this is a company policy ? . I found this quite disturbing as no reason was given to why alarm had gone off . It made myself and partner in easy rest of stay and we considered changing hotels but that would have impacted on our financial position for rest of stay . So apart from the day time and early evening staff who were very helpful the rest of the stay was unnerving not knowing if we were safe or not .

Everything in the restaurant was dirty: table, glasses, floor... The food was horrible! The bed was not properly tidy. The TV definition was a disaster. The staff was not enaugh trained.

Hotel is very close to the Santos Dumont airport. Localization is a relevant point to be pointed out. The room follows the IBIS hotel standard. The room is clean and can sleep well. Internet is good, and it is another point to point out. The breakfast is good, and the restaurant is open for dinner (I was not in the hotel during the lunch time).

I'm very disappoint with the installation, molds, fungus growth at bathroom. Bad dormitory.
