Unfortunately I had problems with air conditioning which was not working. As I only stayed one night I did not bother to change rooms, because when I realized this problem it was already one o'clock in the morning. My suggestion is that the hotel make an urgent preventive maintenance.

It was an amazing stay. Loved the place, the room, hotel's location, the personnel. Very close to the Dumont Airport and many amenities. Would definitely recommend the hotel.

« Terrible bath »

The hotel is clean and overall ok, but the bath is simply terrible. Constantly oscilating temperature from artic ice to hell hot, and there was two times that the heating simply didn't turn on. Taking a shower during peak-hours is simply impossible, and off peak-hours is still a bad experience. Also, the wifi coverage and speed is very bad, constantly dropping the connection and asking for the user to reauthenticate. Novotel Santo Cristo had a much better experience for the guest in this aspect, despite having basically the same system.

I had some issues with my room. I got locked from inside because the door was kind of broken. There was also a lamp that wasn't working and in the end I had to change room. Plus, it would be nice if there was a plug near the bed to charge the phone. Sometimes it's hard to wake up to dismiss the alarm when it's far away from us.

Only two persons working, they tried they best, but I had to wait a lot to check in and check out. Express check was simply not availible, in spite of what the website says. The room was dirty and the towel was smeely (oh man, that was disgusting). Region is really dangerous tonight. I mean you cannot leave the hotel at night in any circunstance.

Quick check-in. Nice crew. Air conditioning was old and loud. There were mosquitoes in my room. There was no water in the room. I had to go back to the lobby to by water.

The people were very nice. The service was excellent. It is not in a good location. I didn't feel safe walking around the neighborhood. The room was fine. I was a little nervous about the mattress as there was no mattress cover, just a sheet over the mattress. The mattress looked clean, but without a mattress cover I was worried about how it could stay clean?

« Great people terrible location »

The service and the people were very nice and extremely accommodating. The food was excellent. It's the location that is below par. Very sketchy neighborhood with lots and lots of homeless people right next door. It's not near anything, not that you would feel safe walking anywhere in the neighborhood.

I recently stayed at Ibis Santos Dummont while I had to spend the night in Rio. Luckly it was just for a night, because the room itself was a nightmare. Starting from the door, there is no sufficient lock to protect me from others, only the card lock. The AC was easily from 05 years ago, old, without direction lids and SUPER noisy. I usually don´t get bothered with the noise around, but that woke me up a few times during the night. The lights were terrible and you can choose between a really poor one or another super strong that would make you blind (you are half-blind using the weakest, your choice). The floor was dirty and there wasn´t enough soap at the bathroom (just one, which I should choose between keeping at the bath or at the sink). Despite the experience of being 5 minutes from Santos Dummont Airport, there is nothing I could say from my staying that could make me indicate to others.
