Check-in was efficient, room was easily located, its clean & tidy, bed is excellent size and firm. Breakfast (if can known tour group is there, we will go later) otherwise all good. Nice weather, recommend everyone to go!

« Good stay but would not be my first choice for future visits. »

Although pleasant surroundings etc the room was tiny and there was no information (compendium) in the room and not a good channel selection on the TV. I believe the room was overpriced.

Overal not a bad experience. Lobby and restaurant nice decor and furniture. Room carpet and bathroom needs updating. Stain in my room on the bench where you put your bags. Will look at staying at Novotel next time.

stayed wellington and Hamilton ibis they are both very good this one at Rotorua was very poor would not stay there again only 2 options for dinner burger or pizza ordered burger but didn't eat it chips where so salty couldn't eat them it is very handy for hosp

not very good was not good for dinner did not eat it full of salt didn't charge us because it was so bad only burgers or pizza no other choice the carpet needed cleaning and staff was not good

« Clean Room, overall service OK »

Service was OK. Forgot I was a Platinum member so had to ask for upgrade, and was charged for breakfast which to be fair was removed once I said I was Platinum. Bar service wasnt available, I waited for 5 mins for someone to arrive, but ended up leaving the hotel to go elsewhere for a drink. Room was clean and well serviced.

« Very attentive staff »

I stayed with my husband while I was working in Rotorua. The staff were always exceptionally friendly, allowing early check in so my husband had somewhere to be while I worked and a late check out for the same reason. We enjoyed the meals we had (burger and Pizza) although would recommend that these were better described on the menu, as short of asking for a description of the ingredients on each item there was no way of knowing what to expect. Although it tasted lovely, we were surprised that the 'Italian Pizza' was cheese with Pesto on top. The room was lovely and clean. Overall out fondest memory will be the exceptional staff, they are a credit to your organisation.

« The room was outdated but adequate »

I spent most of my time at the Novotel for a conference I did not eat at the Ibis - only sleep in room 361 The bathroom especially was outdated The walls are very thin - I could hear my neighbour snoring, speaking on the phone and going to the toilet On the 1st evening there were children from Argentina who ran up and down the hall, speaking loudly and banging continuously on doors There appears to have been a leak next to the window which remains unfixed and the curtain was difficult to open

Was clean, warm and comfy. Staff were friendly. On the morning I was leaving I asked the front desk staff person to book a taxi which I later found out did not happen and needed to be re-booked - this delay meant I was late for my hui and had the effect of putting a dampener on my otherwise positive experience.
