When we arrived to check in after 2pm our room wasn’t ready. No apologies or offer of a cup of tea after our long drive. No mention of when breakfast was or where. When we finally got our room key we had ordered a king room but only got a double. I would have gone back to reception to mention this but it was just so busy it wasn’t worth the effort. Breakfast was nice although nothing was labelled so it was rather hit and miss what you were eating or drinking. Knowing what the juices and yoghurts were would have been nice. No tea bags or napkins so had to ask for them. Sadly disappointing after our wonderful stay at the Ibis in auckland a few weeks ago.

A very enjoyable stay. It was a real bonus do be able to make use of the adjoining Novotel facilities, such as the thermal pools. Service was good and the room was spacious for Ibis standards, clean and comfortable. The minor bugbear I had was the "king" bed being 2 singles with a rather noticeable gap between them. Good benefits for loyalty members, including better choice of welcome drink at the bar compared with other pricier Accor hotels I've recently stayed at.

we really enjoyed nice food in the morning including hot food. staff did there best to clean after the early morning tourist groups. Room cleaning service was a bit slow. For 2 days we came back after 2pm and 3.30 and the rooms were not done. Maybe that's normal for this hotel but we're used to a faster service elsewhere. On the last day everything was done by 12pm though.

The hotel was nice and clean and the staff were the friendliest I’ve ever experienced. We had 2 staff check if we wanted our room serviced (we only stayed 2 nights), a phone call mid way through our stay asking if everything was ok, and the front desk staff were friendly and relaxed at every interaction. The only improvements could be that the the bathrooms were quite dated and the beds were squeezed in with very little other space. We had a good time and would come back next time.

Our hotel room was ok, poky but fine. The window did not open so every morning there was condensation all over it and the air was stale and claustrophobic. There was no toaster so in the morning I couldn't make myself a cup of tea and piece of toast. The housekeeping staff did not supply hand towels and I had to ask at reception for them to be provided. There was a notice about saving water by not throwing towels out every day but there was nowhere in the room to dry our towels properly, a proper heated towel rail would have been useful.

Disappointing compared to last time I stayed at Ibis

Firstly the plus- the bed was comfortable. It was close to eat street. But....The door did not click shut properly so twice I came back and could just push it open without the key, the hairdryer did not work on one, noise from the next room could be heard like you were sharing the room with them, one morning got no hand towels or facewasher at all.

Could do with an upgrade, bathrooms are a bit old and dated, but everything worked fine. Nice having a desk to sit at to get some work done. Bed was good. Would be nice to have proper milk rather than the tiny little UHT pottles.

Once we sorted out the room with a tiny bed, having booked a king size bed, the experience was ok. Previously we were given a welcome drink voucher, this time nothing. We even had to ask for the wifi code which never worked.

I had booked online but when I arrived I still had to fill in all paperwork. This had never happened at an Accor hotel before. Booked a king room with city view with my Accorplus plus partner card. Ended up with a double bed room looking onto the car park (and people being able to look into us) dopey guy at check in gave us no explanation for this. He then stated that someone would be in contact when a room became available....this did not happen. We were offered free breakfast which was great....until I saw a sign saying $1 breakfast when booking online At check out dopey guy number 2 told me that ‘all twin rooms have king beds’ so I then had to take him in to prove that it was double. Much to his surprise I wasn’t lying and it was in fact true! I was then given a discount but it took the manager 10 minutes to come down to put this through. With a look in her eyes saying this customer is a scammer, she said ‘sorry maye’ and briskly walked off. I can see how she rose to the top with that customer service. The worst thing about the whole experience is that I am an Accor plus partner member, so I’m unsure how we got the what I presume is an overflow when everyone else got what they ordered. I completely understand if the website said sold out, but this was a clear cashgrab to mark rooms as available and then throw unsuspecting customers into them hoping they don’t complain.

-Check in was very delayed for some members of our group because cleaning needed to be done, -Beer was warm in the fridge at the Bar while we waited and didnt improve later on -breakfast was nice

Comfortable room for one night's stay. The internet access was difficult and slow at times - a real issue when staying for business. Good bed and clean, fresh facilities. Staff were helpful and pleasant to deal with.

Terribly. Arrived as part of a group at 3pm. Took up to 45 min for us all to get a room due to rooms not been cleaned. Had to sit in the bar and wait where I thought we would get a complementary drink. How wrong was I. When we finally got a drink (which was no easy task as I could not charge it back to my room as I was not not checked in) it was warm as the bar fridge was turned off. Try been a Kiwi and sit with people from Australia, Ireland,England,Wales,South America and explain way the the beer is warm. Next morning went to breakfast at 7.30 am and the only eatable food was the bake beans. Bacon was under cooked,scrambled eggs looked like there was no eggs in them,sausages were disgusting, no milk for coffee and it was all cold. I have stayed at a lot of Hotels all over the world and this is my first ever negative survey.
