« Luxurious accommodation in central location with exceptional customer service »

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Sofitel Queenstown and felt absolutely spoilt from the moment we stepped in the door, starting with such a personal greeting from staff at Reception. All staff we came in contact with were highly professional, friendly and approachable, this included the bar staff who made us our delicious cocktails in such an elegant setting and the housekeeping staff who were always so polite and obliging. The additional touches with petit fours on arrival in our room, turn down service with soft background music and treats at night time were such a highlight and made for a truly memorable experience.

It was a comfortable stay. Sadly we were not given adjoining rooms so my wife and I had to sleep in separate rooms to accommodate children. As platinum members were are always given upgrades when staying at sofitels. We were not given an upgrade. We were also charged valet parking for 2 days when we only used it 1 day. The staff and service were fantastic and the hotel is lovely.

Delightful. Facilities are stunning. People are amazing. Location is brilliant. It is everything, and more, that one would expect from a hotel of the highest quality. Every staff member seems to have been chosen for their absolute suitability for their roles. That goes from Stefan the barman, through the reception team all the way to Housekeeping. Please let me commend the Housekeeping team. They are absolutely fantastic at what they do. We accept that we pay a little more to stay in a Sofitel but in the case of Queenstown that Money is the investment in an absolutely delightful special stay where nothing is compromised by the hotel in their delivery of a truly outstanding service.

Location is fantastic, staff more than helpful and professional. Rooms comfortable but noisy from street below. Reading light faded and not bright enough for reading, and we had trouble several times with the bath plug not sealing properly. Staff quickly fixed it but it was a repeat issue during our 5 day stay. I let the hotel know in writing I needed an extra cot for my sone but that information was lost and the cot had to be set up post check in.

It should not have been a repeated issue as our standards require to deliver a perfect room. I will make sure that our maintenance team will check and fix it to prevent any future occurrence. Regarding the light, thank you for letting us know, as we are planning many refurbishments in the next five years. It is why reviews are definitely significant for us. We were made to feel special from the time we arrived. Celebrating a birthday and on check in my wife was wished a Happy Birthday. Also a platter of little goodies in the room to celebrate. Very comfortable bed as always.

We are use to a larger club lounge with a much larger selection of canapes on offer. We also found the room servicing dropped of toward the end of our stay. for example no water for 2 days, and cleaning particularly the bathroom was not as good for the last 2 days.

Ww had a great time. The staff were very friendly and always trying to help specially in the reception & bar and left bank. The coffin the rooms made my holiday as I do like a good coffee when I want it. The house keeping has room for improvement. They weren't very efficient but acceptable.(not sofitel standards)

« A bit overpriced but not bad service »

Good location, big room. Good service, but $50 per night valet parking fee is very expensive. Room carpet is stained, looks not very clean. The aircon is the room is not adjustable. We stayed for 4 nights, and 1 night we got some snack, not sure if it's a special treat or a daily thing, would like to know. Breakfast in the Left bank restaurant was not very tasty. coffee was not good at all, sorry to say that.

As we do not have our own car park we had to find a solution to assist our guests travelling by car. Our valet service is operated via a safe parking near by the hotel, and runs 24 hours. The explanation of the price is that it is not part of our hotel unfortunately. On your last night with us, we like to say thank you to our guests for staying with us by offering some french sweets and pastry. You should have received a card with these. We are continuously working on the food quality at our restaurant, especially for our breakfast. Your opinion is really important to us, and I am sorry that your experience did not meet your expectation.
