As above. My only complaint is that the key cards are always failing and it means several trips in the lift because it often happens more than once. But I have recommended the hotel for the positives which outweighs the positives.

This is a cheap and cheerful hotel, it's reasonably priced, good city centre location on the edge of China town. If I ever visit Birmingham again I would stay here.

I have previously stayed at the Ibis (not the budget) this is the first time at the budget, I was very impressed considering the price was only 2/3 of the other Ibis.

The hotel is basic. However, it's clean, everything works in the rooms and the booking provided excellent value for money. The staff are extremely professional and friendly. I was made to feel welcome and was confident they would have sorted out a problem had there been one.

The car parking arrangement is awful. I paid for overnight parking on site and was unable to use my car in the evening as someone had parked a large van across the front of my car, blocking me being able to get out. I was told that even though I had paid, if I moved my vehicle and was unable to park upon my return then I would have to find alternative parking and would not be refunded. The bed was very uncomfortable, the room extremely basic. I will not use your hotels again, it was a terrible experience.

Hotel room was extremely clean unable to sleep due to noise but worst off all unable to take a shower in the morning as shower was not working there was notices of lifts that water pumps where being turned off at 10am due to maintenance however I tried to shower at 8.30am all that came out was a trickle of scalding hot water. Hardly any water came out at all in that would have been a child using that shower would of been extremely dangerous

We arrived and shown to the lift. One room none of the lights worked. Our other room was dirty especially in areas that would miss a quick wipe over. The beds felt dirty and itchy there were no kettle etc for a drink. Breakfast was pleasant though and morning staff were very good though

No tea facility in room, no parking facility, extra bed just on top of the main bed and it posed a health and safety risk as I bumped head into it as it was just above the main bed.

Staff seemed more concerned with discussing an incident with other guests than being attentive when checking us in, general hotel felt like a cross between a hospital and a prison, didn’t even have proper en suites but instead claustrophobic pods as toilets and showers, overbearing security presence makes it seem even more like a prison. Even for £51 per night I’d expect much better. Never again.
