« Very noisy hotel »

Very noisy low class guests talking loudly in the corridors. Guests bang g their doors frequently. Guests screaming at the swimming pool. Construction noise from nearby hotel construction. Corridors paved with ceramic tile instead of carpet hence you can hear trolleys passing people walking etc.

« Very noisy hotel. Low level guests. »

I requested a quiet room. Instead I was given a room facing the swimming pool and a construction of a building. Kids and rude adults screamed at the swimming pool all day long and there was constant noise from the construction. In addition guests were talking loudly in the corridor after midnight and early in the morning preventing me from sleeping. They also slammed the doors of their rooms frequently early in the morning and after midnight. The corridors of the hotel were paved by ceramic tiles not the usual carpet. No acoustic sound absorption. I could hear the loud noise that the housekeeping trolleys were making while going along the corridor. There were quick moving micro ants all over the room and the bathroom. Overall it was a very dissapointing stay. I looked forward to leaving the hotel as soon as possible but of course I couldn't as I paid all in advance. The elevators were rated 600kg capacity but in fact they were half the capacity; as one day when I got on an elevator which had only a fat couple and a child buzzed showing overload. I definitely shall not stay in this hotel again. I hope my comments help the management to take the necessary corrective actions. The hotel needs refurbishing.

« “Upgrade” was really a downgrade. »

Upon arriving I was told I was being given an “upgrade” and I was given (what I later learned) was a ‘family suite’. As a solo traveler, why I needed a ‘family’ suite is beyond me, but never staying there before I went with it. What a mistake!!! Great, I was ‘upgraded’ to a bigger room, but one in which the extra space consisted of two bunk beds and an entertainment system for children, I did not have, taking up space of which I could make no use. Also, as the room seemed to be ‘child-proofed’, it only had one outlet to use for charging my electronics, a horrible shower/tub combo, no loungers on the balcony, etc. Really. This was your idea of an ‘upgrade’. In addition, for the entire three nights I stayed in this ‘suite’, I never once had the room serviced by housekeeping. I put the please makeup sign out everytime I went out to the pool or eat. Nope. The room was never touched. I never even once saw a housekeeper to ask for towels. I assume that is because this ‘upgrade’ was in the little corridor and most of the time housekeeping was on the main corridor. I only found out how really horrible my ‘upgrade’ was by staying an extra night longer than planned. I was told that I needed to move out of my ‘upgrade’ to what I assume was a ‘regular’ room. What a difference!!! Five outlets, loungers, a rain shower, etc....THIS WAS AN UPGRADE!!! I now felt totally insulted that you had called my previous room an ‘upgrade’! At first, I just made my displeasure known to the front desk, who apologized. Still upset and feeling insulted, I later asked to speak to management. I told the young lady about how I felt, especially regarding the amenities of the ‘regular’ room vs. the lack thereof in my ‘upgrade’. I really wanted to know how you could call it an upgrade (esp. for a solo traveler who didn’t need bunk beds). Her only response was that it was ‘bigger’ and offered the perfunctory apology. Not happy. Not offered anything to try and make the guest happy. Not that I really wanted anything, but an offer would have been nice. She could have apologized and asked ‘what can we do to make it better for you?’ That way it would seem you really cared about the guest. If I had asked for something outrageous (free night, etc.) you could say no, but at least you would have put some effort into it. On the plus side, the staff was friendly. The pool area nice. My ‘regular’ room served my needs. If you hadn’t given me that ‘upgrade’ your score would have bee the total opposite.

The stay was comfortable and the staff friendly as ever. The wooden sliding door of the bathroom did act up sometimes, but I guess that is the exception which proves the rule. The new fittings near swimming pool are pretty good . Children seem to enjoy it more.

« Food was a big let down »

The recently changed menu is a big let down and the new dining area/setting is not comfortable for dining. There is no salad offered on the menu at all. I find this very strange. The closest thing we could find was the Japanese lunch style set which contained chicken and fish fingers, French fries, and celery+carrot+cucumber with “hummus”. The latter of which is really the reason we orderd. We were very disappointed when it arrived, there was carrot and cucumber with a few celery leaves (decoration). There was no hummus as mentioned in the menu. In fact, the staff didn’t know what hummus was. They gave us a yogurt dip instead. Very disappointed and refused to pay because what came was not what the menu described. Also, since they changed the dining area layout, the main dining area is dark during the day and not pleasant for dining. The new small area for dining is not comfortable nor practical for dining, (more like a sports bar) especially when with kids. And outdoor area has people smoking. In the end we decided to eat out for lunch and breakfast. 2 years ago the food was much improved, but since the new menu was implemented, we will eat outside thanks.

First time to use this hotel in Pattaya and having used a neighbouring hotel on my last visit was slightly disappointed. Staff were great and always curtious - a plus. Hotel elevator was quite slow, room was average, with small bathroom.

« OK, somewhat ageing package hotel. Good location if you like central Pattaya. »

Package hotel (that I have stayed in regularly since it was built.) Pool and A/C both showing their age. Nice to get two upgrades to family rooms. Front desk still unused to independent travelers, mildly hostile and needed 15 minutes to check me out of four pre-paid rooms because of a THB 22 telephone call that I was unaware of. The THB 4,000 blocked on my credit card has still not been unblocked 3 days after checking out.

the room you assigned to me (I knew that room was upgraded to me and I appreciated that) had a very heavy construction noise that might generated from the room below or the next room so much affected my comfort stay at your hotel in this time.

« A very pleasant stay in a quiet, but central, location. »

I basically just slept in the hotel and used the pool on a few occasions (i.e. I didn't eat, drink, or use any of the hotel's other facilities ). However, everything was fine - a quiet, comfortable room on a high floor looking towards the sea. The wi-fi speed was also OK.
