« Wouldn’t stay again »

Bed was so hard it was unbearable we checked out a day early and went to another hotel, to call it a 4 star is a joke I would say 2-3 star maximum room could of been cleaner and everything in room had very high prices, pool area nice and also breakfast was good. But I wouldn’t reccomend or stay again.

Overall the staff is more friendly and helpful than at other Hotels in Thailand. Rooms are clean and functional, Price is ok. Just the Internet could be a bit improved. Please also set up some Swimming pool rules as I observed guests enter the pool without Swimming suits (just normal clothes) and without shower! I refrained from Swimming after seeing this.

The property is old, but with that large rooms and good amenities. While old the properties well maintained, except the ceiling aircon was very dirty and black mould could be seen.

Your equipment at the fitness needs to be renewed. One treadmill not working, the other extremely noisy and a cross trainer very hard to operate. Why has this been ignored ?

I am always satisfied with your service. Even this time I got upgraded to a Family room and early check-in was accepted. However, I can't have a shower, there's no hot water and no pressure in the shower. Also, one blind curtain was broken. Without these things it was more comfortable.

Breakfast was very disappointing so ate outside the hotel. 390 pesos for additional breakfast is way too high given poor quality.

The staff are all very friendly,the room for Accord members was very nice but the Europeans were not catered for very well at breakfast, it would have been nice to have hash browns and backed beans instead ofpeas in white sauce and fried carrots which is not what we eat for breakfast and the chef needs to learn how to cook bread and butter pudding which is a dessert not for breakfast. There was too many Indians and they made you feel very uncomfortable by staring at you, even when told not to get in the swimming pool with cloths on they took no notice, There were not enough umbrellas around the pools or safety equipment.

It was OK, The room was clean, however the safe wasn't working, my room wasn't made up until 5:30pm one day and the elevators were inexplicably hot for some reason.

Internet was great in the room but never worked at the pool. The sun lounges at the pool were in need of a good clean and repair. Afternoon service at the cafe still very disappointing and no signs for non smoking. Sometimes still no pool supervision. Our room always clean and comfortable and enjoyed breakfast you have a excellent pastry cook. One machine at the gym was out of order for the 2 weeks of our stay.

« Staff are what make this property worth returning to time and time again. »

This was I think our 4th or 5th holiday staying at Mercure Pattaya. The staff for us are what makes this property so special, from the front of house to housekeeping all the staff are lovely. This also includes management who were ever present ensuring that our needs were meet and exceeded. The family rooms are great for families with young children and the pool is fantastic for all ages.

Service and common facilities were good, however the room itself was not upto our expectation. Quality of materials and equipments were not upto the mark of a 4 star hotel for the premium price. Decorations were blunt. No carpets, furnitures seem to be of low quality and many places joints and cements were visible. Rooms were comparable to a 2 star room, except that the area was good. Please see if you can improve the rooms. Break fast was good spread.

Extremely Satisfied - your staff are always helpful and courteous, the place is getting older but its clean and tidy. My only issue is the food at the Mercure, not the best, an area that can be improved. Location is one of the best if you want to park your car and walk around Pattaya.
