I will keep coming back to Mercure Pattaya....love it....if theres a chance to go back pattaya. I will prefer this as my priority hotel....they were very nice and i felt that I always welcome regardless of race....

« A satisfactory experience with a few small 'glitches'. »

I enjoy staying at the Mercure Pattaya as i find it very conveniently located and reasonably priced and it is in my opinion a decent 3 star level hotel. I would also like to add that i find the staff on reception and Concierge to be extremely helpful and friendly. On the negatives which i experienced on my recent stay: 1. The pool was closed for the entire duration of my visit, whilst it was good that provision was made for guests to use the neighbouring Baracuda Hotel Pool it was a little inconvenient and particularly so as i find the Mercure pool very child friendly. I understand that maintenance is unavoidable so i guess i just have to put this down to bad timing on my side. I believe the offering of some gesture such as free breakfast or vouchers for the bar would have been nice (which would also be a way of getting people into the pool bar which seemed very quite whilst the pool was closed). 2. This is very minor niggle but i have stayed in the family suites on 4 or 5 different occassions now and each time the playstation in the rooms do not work. This is even after the technican comes to look at it. Perhaps these should be checked from time to time because if not working then they should either be replaced or removed. It can be a bit trying with small children when they get excited wanting to play on it only to find it is broken.

« Staff were friendly; however they could have been more informative as for the four days I stayed the pool was closed off! No one informed me of this which made my experience less enjoyable. »

Over all it was fine. As it was a holiday to relax I did expect to use the swimming pool area. I had to pay to use a hotel further out of location which cost 1000 baht as at no point informed about the closure. I use the gym which was too hot as the a/c was not on nor was there any water. Then I used the spa as by this time I was running out of options! Also on the seventh floor the constant smell of paint was at least overpowering on occasions!! Management should ensure hotel guests are informed of such matters prior to staying which would allow the opportunity to relocate.

This is mentioned to all our guests upon check in, there is a letter placed in your room and also a big signage at the lobby which says this. « Great value stay, good facilities and very friendly staff. »

I really feel relaxed every time I stay at this property. The Front Desk and Concierge were very welcoming and the check in was efficient. Rooms are comfortable but will benefit from the ongoing refurbishment and look forward to seeing the end result. I love the Aqua Pool Bar and Café concept and the food is great value. The only negative comment was the Friday expats meeting that overlapped with breakfast creates a less than relaxed atmosphere.

I enjoyed my stay and the friendliness of the staff. I enjoyed the meals and happy hour at Aqua bar. I thought the the food was good value for money and I did not eat outside of the hotel for dinner. The hotel is run down, but is going through some improvements and until they are completed I cannot give it a hgher rating in some areas.

I am an accor plus member, so I get free drink voucher from the hotel and the staff is nice. At first my room cannot connect the wifi then staff fix it until it's work. The room is not big but there's every useful stuff. Only one thing I want to complain is sbout noise from outside. The room is not keep sound. Everytime that someone walk or close other room door we can heere that.

Booking was easy - just messaged Toh and Tim with our dates. On arrival Tim and his friendly staff at the front desk were waiting to welcome us. We just signed in and the happy bell boys escorted us to our room. The rooms are basic but clean and comfortable and the room girls do a splendid job. We choose to visit in low season so understand tour groups are necessary to keep up occupancy rates. Sometimes breakfast can be a little chaotic, but Mercure do provide a separate room for 'A' Club Members with a good menu in addition to the buffet. The breakfast staff spoilt us (thank you Bee, Pan, Mee, Chi. And Don - the best omelette maker). Was nice to see Tony capably leading the crew. THe pool area with its lovely garden offering shaded spots to laze has always been one of our favourite attractions. I hope future developments will not be at the expense of the garden. (I liked the beach huts but was not a fan of the organic garden). Whilst there was a board stating the pool rules no one seemed responsible to make sure these were adhered to. We always enjoyed dining in the evening under the verandah overlooking the pool but this year did not find having our evening meal listening to pool balls banging, a very pleasurable experience. The two areas do not mix in our opinion. A big thank you to Toh, Tim and your friendly staff for being such perfect hosts, we hope we are able to come again next year.

The hotel is conveniently located close to the second road and the avenue mall but far from the crowds. The pool area is great for relaxing and the bar has great offers on drinks, cocktail buckets and pizzas. Especially liked the offer for making your own cocktails where they teach you how to make the cocktails. Breakfast spread is also great.
