« Good standard but Breakfast fell short »

Have stayed in this hotel on a number of occasions and standard has always been good including breakfast. Location is central and easy walking distance from business area and city centre. Nice clean room, comfortable bed and a good nights sleep. Reception staff were helpful. The only thing that let the hotel down was the breakfast. Had invited 2 extra people to join us for breakfast. Staff were not aware of extra requirement. Tea and Coffee was cold and buffet had no eggs and was short on a number of items. Had to request staff to correct this. Disappointing for us when we had guests and standard in the past has been good

Carpet in corridor outside our room was stained. Room was spacious & clean. Staff were friendly. Choice of food at breakfast was good but "hot" food was lukewarm.

A very nice hotel, handy and reasonably priced car park. The food was very good. Hotel staff were all friendly and helpful. The bar was great but just a shame that it shut at 1am when so many people wanted a late drink!

They let me check in as I got there early and looked after my case while I was out in the city. Everyone was helpful and polite and the breakfast was good (the little girl on the table next to me was very impressed with her pancakes!!) with plenty of choice.

Very clean pleasant room. Had a lovely meal in the restaurant upon arrival with brilliant service. Only slight fault was over the breakfast. The coffee was not hot but warm and there was no brown bread left for toast. Minor issues and would not put me off rebooking but perhaps easy to resolve.

« Great room, tiny towels »

I very much enjoyed my stay, which was for a week whilst in Bristol on Business. The room was comfortable and the staff friendly. The only slight issues that I had was that, on one day, my bin was not emptied by housekeeping staff, despite being full, although that is a minor point. One more significant issue was the size of the towels, which were very small. Changing the small bath towels for larger bath sheets would make a substantial improvement to the rooms. Other than that, I really enjoyed my stay.

Usually Novotel is very good. However on this occasion the bathroom cleaning had not been completed and there was only one set of towels in the double room. I have stayed at Novotel many times and this has never happened before so I didn't complain.

great! I stayed on business for two days and have only good things to say. The room was clean and tidy. food was hot and yummy. Gym was available and empty! Bar was very comfortable and nice with a great selection of drinks. I had a really great stay.

The room was good, the staff were pleasant and helpful and the breakfast was good. Overall, we thought the hotel was good value for money, but were disappointed that we had to pay for parking, as this was not clear at the time of booking.

« Excellent stay- perfect for a family break. »

Excelllently appointed family room with a sofa bed which pulled out into 2 singles. Friendly staff and excellent Childrens menu. Lots of kids’ activities and free gifts (teddies, yo-yo, colouring, stickers). Breakfast was amazing too! Very very well priced.

This hotel is quiet and the room had very comfortable bed. The ceiling height makes the room feel a little cramped and the bathroom is a little tired but adequate

Comfortable room, excellent reception, good bar service in the evening but shame about the service in the morning as no opportunity to request more coffee as staff not there or did not engage with those already seated

« There’s always room for improvement »

I’ve stayed at the Novotel on business quite a few times now, the first 2 occasions were questionable, room smelled a bit but I put that down to a deep clean of the carpet that disappeared when the windows were opened, the second was when someone left something distasteful in the kettle, yuck!! Lately though the experience has been spot on. Except for Breakfast; everything is bulk buy, no yogurts or Babybel cheeses, the smoothies are good if a little small. A better selection of danish would be good. And why are there never any Bananas??? The staff are very nice, ‘Turbo-Girl’ makes me smile (She has dark hair in a ponytail, wears glasses and mainly works in the bar/restaurant area. Why ‘Turbo-Girl’ you may ask? It’s bexause she rushes everywhere lol!!). Overall it’s a good hotel, excellent for access to Temple Meads station (5 minutes) and 12 minutes from Cabot Circus. If you’re after a good pub close by try The Old Fishmarket, great beers and meals. I’ll be back soon.
