Booked in at 6pm and had to wait until just before 8pm for the room. Rooms were still being cleaned. Reception staff were welcoming and friendly. The room was clean and comfortable. Unfortunately the guests (several young men) in the room opposite were have a very noisy party and I had to complain to them and reception. Other guests complained too. On the whole this is a lovely hotel and it is a pity that the circumstances were not better. All staff were polite, friendly and helpful.

However, I was sorry to learn that you room was not ready upon arrival which is most unusual, this occurred as the majority of our guests took advantage of a late check out that we offer on this particular date, resulting in the task being very challenging for the housekeeping team to prepare all the rooms in a timely manner, please accept my sincere apologies. I was also disappointed to learn that you were also disturbed by noise created from other guests of the hotel. My team are always available 24/7 to handle these situations albeit, on occasion this can be difficult with unreasonable persons and I thanks you for your understanding regarding this matter. « Delay in getting room 16.45 instead of 12.00 has told »

When we got our room we had to change plans for the evening meals because we had tickets for a show, But room clean only one biscuit for 2 guests, we all slept well and breakfast very good, all staff helpful and we had complimentary parking and a free drink in the bar while waiting for our rooms.

However, I was sorry to learn that you room was not ready upon arrival which is certainly most unusual. However, I understand that this isolated incident occurred due to the majority of our guests taking advantage of the late check out that we offer as a brand on this particular date which resulted in turning around the rooms in a timely manner for the housekeeping team was very challenging therefore, please accept my sincere apologies. Hotel staff very pleasant and helpfull, dissapointing & annoying to hear the continual banging from the top levels (maybe gymnasium not sure) on Saturday and Sunday mornings at 7am and during the week in evenings when I get in 7pm until 9pm

« Good service but a few problems with the heating »

Good - very helpful staff but the rooms on the first floor were cold and the heating did not work very well. We were given another room which was better but the controls were noisy when running and the room chilly when the system fan was tuned off. Bring back radiators!

« Rooms below the gym »

Both our rooms were beneath the gym which is open from 6am I believe and some idiot kept dropping the weight for a good hour and a half at 6:30am. The constant banging meant we didn’t sleep well at all. Why would you even have a gym above rooms is beyond me?!

« Good room but poor heating »

Room was tolerable for a while and complained that the air conditioning unit did not push out a lot of air. Was provided with a small heater which did not really do anything. I would probably stay at the Brigstow again if this hotel cannot sort out its heating.
