The stay was comfortable. The overall experience was pleasant. Enjoyed the breakfast, the location is excellent as well. I had to work out of the hotel for sometime, while the desk arrangement was very good, a better chair suitable for work such as a swivel chair with wheels would have made the stay even better.

Hotel was in a good place to get the places I needed to go whilst in Bristol and not that far from the train station (within walking distance). Hotel service was good and efficient. The room was clean, quiet and had all the usual amenities. The bed was comfy and I had a sound nights sleep - the pillows were especially comfortable. Price was reasonable but I had booked a fair few months in advance

The hotel room size is great. Wifi worked perfectly. The breakfast buffet is Ok, nothing special. Location is very good and £10 a day for parking is good value The main negative was that one elecator was out of order for 3 days i was there. Its a very busy hotel, so you had to wait quite a while to get the elevator.

Please be assured that the health and safety of both guest and colleague is of paramount importance to Novotel and as we have identified that these particular elevators have reached a certain age in life, it is necessary to replace all the workings which should take approximately one month per car. Please accept my sincere apologies for any inconvenience this may have caused on this occasion and we thank your for your full understanding. WiFi poor in our room , reported to reception when leaving. Air conditioning not very efficient.

I was sorry to learn that your experience on this occasion did not meet your expectations prompting you to give an overall rating of just 5/10 in particular, due to the WIFI service and air comforting system in your bedroom, please accept my sincere apologies. Stayed here for a reunion taking place in Bristol. Conveniently located to the train station and city centre. All staff were happy, helpful and friendly which makes a hotel these days. Rooms basic but had all we needed

The staff was great throughout the whole stay. I arrived early in the morning way before the check-in time and they gladly stored my bag so I could tour the city. At night we were given several options for restaurants nearby, the staff was really helpful and kind. We doubted whether to opt for taking the breakfast in the hotel or finding something else but definitely including the breakfast was the best choice. The buffet was very complete and suitable for all tastes, from the traditional English Breakfast to a wide choice of cheeses, granola, bread, etc. definitely not for eating in a rush. On the downside, the bathroom seemed old, although it was clean. The shower didn't have a door and the panel wasn't wide enough to cover the shower so water goes everywhere and it can become messy. Also, it doesn't include a ventilation fan. I was very surprised by the sustainability initiatives described in several places in the hotel, such as having their kitchen signed up to the app service Too Good To Go. This kind of sustainable initiatives definitely puts the brand on top of my mind the next time I'll look for a hotel. Keep it up! :)

Everything went smoothly. Meeting attendees were happy. Lots of snacks during the day but unfortunately there wasn't much lunch when we arrived for our slot.

Each stay I ask for an upgrade to an exec room, as I mentioned above I am happy to pay, but, I end up on the 4th floor in a standard room..... very disappointing compared to other hotels. The room service menu could be healthier, the stir fry was good, but the last couple of times has been disappointing.

Many thanks for your feedback Neil, we always appreciate our guest comments in particular from our silver loyalty members of 'Le Cub' (which will soon be changing its name to ALL ((Accor Live Limitless)) with even more benefits for our guests). I was however, sorry to learn that you have been disappointed that we have been unable to up-grade your reservation on the past few stays. Whilst this is a benefit is applicable to our Gold Members upward, I am sure that you can appreciate with only 17 executive rooms available in the hotel, these can sell out rapidly making it very challenging for the team to co ordinate upgrades for any available executive rooms on the day especially as we have such a high number of gold and platinum members staying with us weekly. Obviously, we would like you to have a more pleasurable stay and if an executive room is very important to you, then I would advise you to make your reservation as far in advance as possible and check out all the available room types selecting an executive if available to avoid further disappointment. Furthermore, should this create further concern then please do not hesitate to contact Lynn directly at the hotel in our reservations department who will be more than happy to assist you. On a more positive note, I am glad to hear that overall you always have a good stay. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The room was clean although we needed more than two tea bags to take us over 24 hours - there were two people in the room. The main flaw was the lack of gluten-free bread at breakfast on the first morning, despite the notice on the breakfast bar that vegan and gluten-free foods were available - would there have been a lack of vegan anything (a life choice, not a medical necessity) we wondered. We also felt items for the hot breakfast looked and were greasy and the grilled tomatoes had obviously only been shown the grill. We would however stay again and maybe change our breakfast choices/ find somewhere else to eat that meal.

Positive, notification about road works would have been useful

Regarding the city centre roadworks, these have been ongoing for the past three years whilst the city council make improvements to the flow of traffic. We can emphasize with the inconvenience that they may cause and as they appear to change on a daily basis it is therefore, very challenging for us to keep up with the details to pass on to our guests. However, on a positive note, they are now nearing completion within the next month or so which will be a relief to all. Always find the reception staff, breakfast and evening meal staff very friendly. Stayed in Novotel Bristol for a many weeks now and have tried other hotels nearby but find this one hotel very friendly, particular the reception. Hotel rooms are always clean but a little dated in appearance. 2 suggestions for improvement especially for environment (saving water) is pretty much every room I have been in the shower head leaks at the connection and runs down the hose and wall. The other suggestion is having a better toaster in the morning such as the belt type rather than the double pop up ones. One other reason in staying at this hotel is that breakfast is ready and starts 6am which is great and compliments to the hotel. Others I have been start later and the set-up is very poor.
