My only issue was not being given a discount on my accor card for 3 of us, I was expecting a 33% discount after having breakfast at the restaurant. There was already a discount given for airline staff so personnel at front desk said couldn't get further discount. Staff at restaurant on the following day knew better and gave accor discount based on the full cost of the meal... Disapointing

On arrival the trolleys were there but there was no attempt by anyone to help us with our luggage. The TV doesn't offer kids programs like Nicolodone or Dysney junior.

The hotel was very nice and the reception and bar staff very helpful, bright and cheerful. The restaurant menu wasn't overly appealing to our taste, the staff were very friendly and helpful and the restaurant well presented. Our room was great and beds comfy and quiet from outside noise. Our only complaint was firstly our room door being opened presumably by a staff member for what reason I do not know as she apologized and closed the door before I could get to it, from 2145 through to 2230 when enough was enough were I had to get up from bed due to excessive noise outside or as we thought near our room (as we had a 0400 rise to meet at International fright which would not be unusual for that hotel, due to location) to discover the hotel house keeping staff servicing rooms just down from us. The nose coming from these staff members banging, clanging things and loud talking was excessive and unacceptable. I cannot understand rooms being serviced at that hour of the night nor have I ever stayed anywhere where this has been done. This is totally unacceptable and should never be necessary. If you are allowing late check-outs were this behaviour is necessary these rooms should be left till the next day, you have a duty of care to your patrons. The staff did cease the noise after I went out and spoke to them and didn't hear any further noise or interruptions.

Everything was immaculate in the room. The service was excellent. I was pleasantly surprised when notified that I was the "Guest of the Day" and presented with a fresh fruit platter and sparkling mineral water. It made me feel very special.

Stay was okay, I was expecting more from Mercure. The staff seemed shy and sometimes uninterested in the needs of the customer. The room was nice, but on arrival it smelt like someone had smoked in the room and to cover it up they sprayed heaps of a deodoriser. The scent of that was strong and made it uncomfortable in the room.

My experience at your hotel was fine until I returned home to an email stating I owed $$ for mini bar when I clearly stated at checkout that nothing had been touched from my room mini bar. I have sent a reply email which unfortunately has not been acknowledged. Disappointing!
