« No shuttle early in the morning, do not answer the phone, was charged minibar when I didn’t use any of it, ridiculous price to send letter »

Hotel was decent except for the following: - no shuttle to the airport offered early in the morning (it does not say that on their website). Also you would think such a hotel would have a free shuttle service. - I tried to call the hotel several times before my reservation and never got an answer - I asked the reception to send a few postcards and the price quoted was 29aud per postcard, a ridiculous amount. - I was charged for the minibar (4 items) while I didn’t use any of it. I did however receive a refund after asking for one.

Whilst I am pleased to hear that you found our hotel pleasant, I am sorry of the inconveniences caused to you prior to your arrival and during your stay. This is certainly not the usual high levels of service to which we are proud of and I sincerely apologise for the lapse in our service standards on this occasion. Regarding the shuttle bus service, we use the same shuttle service provider, Redy2Go, as most of the hotels in the airport precinct. The timetable for the Shuttle Bus Service is available on our website in the Facilities tab . As the shuttle bus service is through a third party service provider, thus leaving us with minimal control over the service. However we will definitely pass on this information to the company to make improvements for the future guests. I have also followed up with our Operations Manager to ensure the issues you raised are addressed accordingly with his team. Great! At first your Night crew was ready to say "standard" reply on No Vacancy for tonight. But, I have expressed my past Experience in Accor Finance for 13+ years. It probably melted their hearts, ha ha. Very happy to have this short stay for 4-5 hours before my early morning flight to Melbourne! Thanks.

I am afraid that we'll not be able to help you with some tips towards improvements as we've been very satisfied with your hotel over number of years and numerous visits. We are in hotel industry ourselves so we may be frequently critical of other establishments, but your hotel does it well. We are happy with the quality of sleep, once we get room away from the lifts and not on the highway. Your reception staff are very helpful to offer it to us. Your linen is satisfactory however more cotton component would be an advantage. We understand that you offer good value for money and it may not be easy, our hotel uses the same laundry services as well. Your food services are excellent and we use it extensively, we even plan our trips assuming we would have drinks, dinner, breakfast at your hotel and it has worked well for years. We also appreciate free drink vouchers on arrival. We are not very price sensitive customers, but it is a nice touch and after trips overseas we are dying for a glass of wine. We appreciate your well priced parking, which we have used recently and as it is only a few dollars more than less convenient airport parking we'll continue to use it. In summary your hotel does a very good job and Mercure is our favorite Sydney airport and we hope you'll continue your perfect service, Thank you Andrew and Elizabeth n.

The low point of our stay was a recommendation that we use 'Ready2Go' to reach and return from the airport. We had to wait over an hour for the return journey and nearly 1 1/2 hours to reach the hotel. The alternative (Blue Emu parking) would have been both cheaper and quicker. Pn our return we dined (evening meal) at the restaurant. The experience was excellent, both for the quality of the food and the service

I booked as i saw that the mecure sydney international offered stay fly and park for up to 7 days. We had an early flight so staying near the airport was necessary but being able to leave our car at the hotel rather than the airport was awesome and convenient. The rooms were great and the staff were helpful with our questions and requests. Definately stay again.
