« Possible the worst experience of staying in a hotel in 20 years. »

Terrible experience. No sleep the first night despite asking for a quiet room, the air conditioning unit makes a loud bang every 4-5 minutes even when off. As the hotel was full I couldn’t change rooms and the staff said it was a known aware issue with the room, so why put a guest in the room? I was told I could have a different room the following night, I told the reception staff I would be back late due to work commitments but to please change my room. when I returned and collected my luggage I was given the key to the same room, no attention to customer service. The next room allocated is best described as an ash tray. I presume the previous guest had been smoking in the non smoking room and as the windows didn’t open it stank, but by this point I was exhausted and fell into bed. On the third night I was again back very late but notice a wet patch on the carpet near the bathroom and thought perhaps the cleaner had dropped a bucket of water? In the night I had a wet foot as I got up to get some water, in the morning there was a huge wet circle where a pipe or something underneath the carpet was leaking. If you are looking to stay in this hotel because you have a week of long working days which are demanding, don’t stay in this hotel. I’ve never experienced anything like this in other Novotel’s but this experience has put me off staying in others again. When checking out all the systems were down, so I gave my feedback and the receptionist said the manager would call. I specifically said please make sure they call and not email me, they didn’t. No message on my answerphone, just an email to say I could have €40 euros back. Again they haven’t listened to the customer and €40 compensation for 3 nights is very poor. This is the first review I have ever given in over 15 years of regularly staying away for work,I’m not sure if it was the noise; the smell; the chaos of breakfast; the 20€ deposit to get an iron which you have to collect yourself from reception; all the systems being down so no-one could check out properly, or the complete disregard for the customer which has made me write this, I think probably the lack of consideration for the customer. I have ignored most things over the years when some apologises and takes action, but to be given the same room back when I returned having had my luggage all day and obviously just not bothered to reallocate and then no follow up call from the manager to make things better shows they just don’t care.

Novotel is easy to reach when coming from the South, nice parking and a little far, not too far from the Metro. Through preregistration all went easy and smooth. Restaurants are nearby at the rue du Verdun, whereas the Novotel bar can offer a place fir relaxation when coming back from a trip to town.

« Very poor quality of accommodation and services »

Despite booking and paying in advance, for an executive non-smoking room, this facility was not available on arrival at the hotel. The executive room available had a foul tobacco smell and so we had to downgrade to a standard non-smoking room. This room was not large enough to be comfortable for my family, including 2 teenage sons and it also didn't have a wall mounted shower. After the first night we had to change to a standard room with a separate shower cubilcle so that we could effectively use the shower facility.

« Nice stay, clean room, excellent breakfast »

The hotel was nice. The room was clean. Breakfast was very good. The location is by the exterior ring road of Paris, but despite the increased traffic, there was absolutely no problem with noise. We are a family of 4 persons. The room had a double bed and a sofa that opened and became another double bed (with a very good matress). The Neighborhood is OK. Not very close to the metro station (600m-700m walk) but we felt safe walking that route at every hour.

« good not great »

Hotel is way too far from all the main sights in Paris but the price is fair for the distance. Would never stay here again as wasted way too much time coming and going to the center of town and too far to come to rest in the afternoon. Room is very nice but the area doesn't seem safe or anything near to eat or buy to eat. Breakfast was ok the first two days, the third one they ran out of several items in the buffet and the male manager was not nice at all. Much better stay at Novotel Lisbon at all levels. Liked the fussball table and the room (empty minibar too versus Lisbon).

We are gold members at accor, so we tray to uppfrade the room. But we did not get any answer.The first room have a wather lik,so we hade to change room. Then we get a smaller room. We get free drink ticket as we always do as a gold member, but when we get in the bar we only get one. That bad neser happening before. As a family we always at other hotels we all dere har get something in the bar. The breacfast was not a good experians, the staff was very late to fill opp everything. Ewen if it was litle people ther. One ewening i was eating alone becase my family was ok å konsert and a sak og i can take a burger from the meny to my room. The say no, becase i hade to call the room service and get some thing from that meny.

The on-line booking with mention of arrival at noon was supposed to ease process. We finally arrived at 1.15pm and the room was not ready. We could have gone to lunch as the kids were hungry but were told a couple of times that the room was "actually" being done and we could just wait a bit. We were even given the keys to the room so we waited and waited and waited at reception with our luggage for 45 minutes and ended up going ourselves to check the room at 2pm. It had not even been cleaned yet. We put everything back in the car and left the hotel at 2.15pm pissed off and tired (an hour after arriving with pre-check-in on line) not having eaten anything. VERY DISAPPOINTING EXPERIENCE!

Smoking room with no ashtray. when asked about it, it was met with a semi service friendly shoulder mentioning that we don't have. Shower cold in the morning. I came at 12:00 from a long over night flight and I have to pay 45 euros to get 2 hours earlier into the room. That's exploitation. Making money more important then the well being of customer.

Airco was blowing air but was not cooling which resulted in very warm/hot room. Mentioned this when checking out and received no reaction from the staff. Quality level is very poor compared to the room rate.

« Got cold because the room temperature is too low »

When I stayed in Paris, the low temperature was quite low - around 5-8 Celsius degrees. However the temperature controller in my room couldn’t work in heat mode. I requested to change a room, but was told all rooms were in the same setting and the only suggestion was to turn the controller off. After 3 nights, I got cold. On the fourth day, I finally got a room with right temperature. So I fully couldn’t understand why a 4-star hotel can’t provide a comfortable room from the beginning.

« Good but could be better »

The stay was good, however lack of a/c in room which was only blowing warm air and no access to open window, meant room was stuffy and ventalation was poor. We had to leave door open to let air in. Breakfast was good, however a change in breakfast choices over 4 day stay may have made experience better. Front desk was helpful in dealing with printing of tickets for disney. Wifi connectivity was intermittent and poor. So overall ok.
