« A bit of arrogance »

I felt staff were quiet arrogant, you feel better welcomed when staying at NOVOTELs or Mercures. I’m a Gold member and they didn’t even bother recognising my status and giving me the welcome drink voucher.

« Not MGallery standard! »

Travelling with small children we asked for adjoining rooms. We got allocated 2 rooms 50 m apart. When we asked to change, the lady at the reception litteraly told us off that we should have asked for this. There was a written note on the booking confirmation though). Finally we got 2 adjoining rooms but right above a court hosting a very loud party. Even all windows closec you could hardly speak to each other and certainly not sleep. At 10 pm i calledthe reception to ask if they could make the music less loud. They told me that the company hosting the party had payed for this so they could not do anythjng.... At check-out there was no mention if this, no apology. Only when i mentionend my disapointment the lady apologized. And only when I said that in such situations a good hotel would make a commercial gesture, they offered not to charge the 20 Euro supplement for the dog. But both rooms and parking would be charged full prize. I thanked the lady and preferred paying also for our dog and not accepting this ridiculous and respectless attitude of the hotel manager.

the hotel is OK but the situation is terrible. No restaurant in the neighbourhood and so we have to eat in the hotel restaurant. The menu is horrible, nouvelle cuisine, and all the customers were looking at the menu for hours to find something good and satiable to eat. The rooms and bathrooms are alright and clean.

« A gem close to the airport and train station. »

This is a surprisingly very nice hotel in the midst of a not so clean Napoli. The reception and restaurant wait staff were very friendly, courteous and helpful. Even down to printing off instructions for getting the train to Pompeii. The breakfast was the best we have had in any hotel anywhere. On the other hand, dinner at the hotel was just OK and the bed was a little soft. Not much to complain about. We really enjoyed our short stay.

This property has lots of potential. The front desk staff was not very helpful or informative and we were disappointed the spa was not open - this is a major selling point for the hotel. The bar, restaurant and room service staff were excellent.

We had a fine stay at the Palazzo Caraccoilo. The hotel itself is a bit run down (i.e hallways) but the rooms were fine. It seems that they upcharge whenever they can though ($7 for ice delivery with no machines on the guest floors seemed unreasonable) but the front desk staff was very nice and helpful.

The person when we arrive after dinner like 9 to 10. He was so nice, but otherwise, check out and check in was very unconfortable situation. They ignored and also does not welcoming. If we did not payed over 200 euro, we are ok for that.. but here is Mgallery. It was not worthy..

The bed was the most uncomfortable bed we have ever stayed in, with no exaggeration, this has left us both with significant back ache. The air con was noisy and not particularly cold. We were apparently upgraded to a more superior room.... we would have been very concerned with the room we were supposed to have been in if we hadn’t been upgraded.

Disappointing check-in experience. One room was not available for two hours 'because an airline pilot has not vacated'. We had booked two rooms months in advance so this really should not happen in any hotel. We have a choice, L’Accor Hotels will not be first choice next time we stay somewhere. Some dinner items ordered in restaurant were served not as described on menu, some mains overcooked.

« Lovely room but a/c was broken. »

Our room was lovely but the a/c was broken so neither myself or my husband were able to sleep very well. When I went downstairs and told the front desk that it was hot, she just nodded and said “yes, it’s summer.” I tried opening a window but the outside temperature was the same as the inside temperature the whole night. The staff never apologized for the unit being broken or offered to fix it so we left the next day. We were also never told that breakfast was not included. My husband went down to eat breakfast first and I went downstairs later. I sat at his table and he took a miniature muffin from his plate and handed it to me. I ate a bite out of it and took a small sip of his juice and left. They insisted that we both had breakfast and charged us for two full breakfasts. If we had been told by the staff that breakfast was not included, I never would have even gone down to sit with my husband. I certainly wouldn’t have taken a 10€+ bite of a muffin. My husband was also irritated that he couldn’t find anyone to bring him utensils or a coffee cup for his coffee so he ended up eating his entire breakfast with his hands because he was never given a fork, even though he’d asked for one a couple times. While the room and hotel looked very nice, the service was really quite bad.

Friendly staff. A little unorganized in the breakfastroom. The only bad thing was the quality of the WIFI - kept falling out unpredictably. Nice room and atmosphere.

I always go to Sofitel or MGallery because, as a member, I was always satisfied with the experience there and this is why I went for this option for my stay in Naples. I regret to say that it was disappointing for the different reasons below: - no recognition of my faithfulness to the brand, i.e. everytime I go to a Sofitel or MGallery I always get a room upgrade or free breakfast which was not done automatically here and even refused to me when I asked for it - communal part not maintained to the highest standards (I took pictures as a supporting evidence) - bedroom: not maintained to the highest standards (I took pictures as supportive evidence), terrible smell of naftaline in the room so we could not stay 5 minutes in it, uncomfortable beds (probably broken) All in all, we were so disappointed that we decided to not stay in the hotel although it was prepaid.
