I'm not sure if this is the right place in the Umfrage. Background: We stay at the Novotel Messe Muenchen privately and have done for several years. We had a party of 20 a few years ago and we always book this hotel when in Munich. Sometimes every couple of months, sometimes every couple of weeks. But last time (in July), it was clear that the bathroom had not been cleaned since the previous guest (hair stuck to the wall, used shampoo etc.). Since I do like the hotel and thought that this was an exception, I did give feedback (still with a high rating) and got this response: --------------- Thank you very much for the rating. We deeply regret that there was dissatisfaction during your stay. Be assured that it was not in our interest to annoy you as a valued guest. She checked in but was told that the room might not be ready - I understand that check-in time is 15:00 so ok. The person at reception would check and my wife should wait in the entrance lounge. The person at reception was seen to call someone then disappeared to the office behind the reception. Having not heard anything for 20 minutes (now just after 15:00), my wife went back to the reception to ask about status. It was clear that the reception staff had no idea what she was talking about. They wanted her to check in etc. but then it became clear that the person she had originally dealt with was off duty at 15:00. Who knows how long my wife would have been sitting there if she hadn't asked! This may seem a small point - but it isn't. There is one person at the reception that recognises us and that gives us a great feeling of being a "Stammgast". But this latest experience shows a superficial manner of dealing with guests - which in my mind, is worse than once in a while forgetting to clean the shower! This is not a complaint about not being let into a room before 15:00, it's the fact that the matter was simply dropped. Sorry to write so much - Usually I never do. But we like the hotel and it will be a shame if we decide to boycott based on this latest experience.

I always enjoy staying here, and staff is usually very accommodating and professional. However, I had two issues with housekeeping: once no soap, the second time no toilet paper. Also upon checkout, the clerk wanted to charge me 79 Euros for the mini bar, yet I had been assured that for an Accord Hotel member the mini bar was free of charge. Fortunately this was rectified immediately and the charge was withdrawn. I am also pleased that I had been upgraded to an executive room.

1. I’ve been charged twice. I had to call the bank, spend money in roaming, but it turns out your managers at the front just made a mistake. Now I will never pay in hotels with a card 2. My wife and I lived in room 549, and our friends in room 553 (Vinnyk), every morning at 8:30 - 9:00 we had a door open. We shouted aloud, it turns out that Cleaner opened the door. When we clarified why they open, they replied that we were not responding and they thought no one was in the room. Jesus, 8:30 a.m., of course, no one will open. 3. At first, we settled into a room in which the handle for opening the window did not work and we had to move to another room. I have stayed at your hotel 2 or 3 times before. I brought my friends with me. Now I will never recommend your hotel to anyone and will not come by myself

We booked a superior room and got a room where the window did not open and the air-con didi not work. The room had no sofa but a third bed with linen (which we did not need). Really disappointing. Be careful who checks you in.

A very pleasant stay, breakfast was very good, the room was very spacious and comfortable, the location of the hotel was perfect for our needs (easy to travel into Munich and easy access to autobahns). our suggestion for improvements would be to be clear about availability and cost of parking. Whilst it was clear parking was available, it was not clear it was not the hotels and would be charged.

But the beds were just too soft. I am on the heavier side, and used to sleep on harder matresses. The receptionist told me that there is no alternative - As other hotels do provide harder (or softer) matresses on request, I will have to stick to the others.

Business trip, room excellent (newly renovated, quiet, very clean, everything works, big TV screen, good beds). Coffee machine available, but one day no spoon or anything to be able to prepare cocoa with milk, the second day (after informing the reception on the previous day) no spoon and no paper cups and no sugar. Why don't you put there two real coffee cups ? I am still going to book this novotel because the rest is perfect.

Late check out request at 5pm was turn down, only till 3pm but if want to extend till 5pm was told need to pay day used rate. In normal practice I had always been allowed to stay till 5pm (of course subject to availability) but this time round I was told to pay Euro 30 for extend till 6pm
