Checking in was efficient and friendly. The room was spotless. The air conditioning unit was quite noisy in the night but the bed was comfortable. The reception area is attractive and welcoming.

The location is perfect, directly opposite the arresting globe of the planetarium in the heart of the modern quay area. The room was adequate, though the mattress was very thin (see picture) so the bed was hard. Also, the bed rolled forward when sitting up in it, which revealed a layer of dust under it. The shower was good, but there was a smell of drains coming up from the plug of the basin. Check-in and out was efficient (I checked-in online before we got there). The staff were friendly and competent. The food in the restaurant was awful re-heated frozen food with no vegetable. So overall, an adequate but not perfect hotel in a great location.

The room was comfortable and clean, getting the swipe cards to work on arrival took several visits to reception, breakfast was very busy, struggling to cope with numbers at that time thus, but the staff were very approachable and polite

I enjoyed the stay we had. The room was clean and everything worked fine. I only had a couple of things to say and that was the sink in the bathroom when you run the tap had a bit of a horrible smell come from it, and although it's not your fault was the bins being emptied outside the hotel was very loud and woke me up at half 4 in the morning and carried on till about 6 half six.

Check in was smooth and simple. Staff member very pleasant and welcoming, and extremely helpful, giving excellent tourist advice. Room very small but functional. Despite good sound insulation there was still considerable noise from outside during the evening/night. Also someone thought the long corridors made a perfect running track for their child to enjoy racing the length of. Very small twin beds were extremely uncomfortable and the result was not a good nights sleep. Not my first stay at an Ibis hotel, but I think it will be my last, simply because of the poor quality beds.
