« Very noisy and complaint poorly dealt with. »

Hotel was clean and convenient, breakfast was good. However it was noisy on both nights, early first night, second night at 5.30am it was really noisy that I woke up. When I mentioned it to reception when checking out I was told that it was normal! And that I shouldnof come down to reception tocomplain at 5.30am and they would of sent security up! I don’t expect to pay for noisy hotels!!! Not great

« Great location, needs more attention to detail »

Day one I arrived at 23:00, my toilet seat hadn't been properly cleaned. Day two I was left with a towel that had human hair (not sure if pubic) and a used towel left on the floor next to my suitcase. A couple of nights there were some noise in the street from people at bars, perhaps ensure you get more on top of it as it was quite late. Apart from that the room is big enough, the bed is comfortable, the staff is nice, great location, check-in/check-out process is quick and 'pain-free'.

« Happy with stay »

Booked this for three of my workers by phone and payed up front by credit card. Was told we would need to bring card. This could not be done as it was not to leave premises. Lady said this is ok and would send out third party form which was filled in and sent back to use and also email was sent to confirm this that you had got form. Reply was we have it. When my guys came down to stay they were told they could not be booked in because they did not have credit card that bill was payed with and she would not book them in after filling in all the forms and the 8hr journey to get to you not very happy with the way you deal with these forms. Hello We were there for one night but on the same day, we tried to book in for the next night. Then a young lady told us the price is increased. We just left a few hours ago then wanted to stay for the next night but the price was increased for no reason. May I know why did you increased the price within a few hours for the couple who stayed in the previous night. There are other places but we wanted to stay in the same place but very disappointed. If somebody tried to booked who has not stayed there then it is a different matter, we were there. We really enjoyed your meals as well. Any way we look forward to stay there whenever possible. I showed my energy saving cooking done in the TV to one of the persons. We said he is from Hungrey. You all are wasting nearly 60% energy in cooking certain things. I could have shown how to cut down the energy wastage, ofcourse by applying science. I am nt a chef but a retired chemistry teacher. My method is still there under Google search under my name Dr Hector P.. Once again thank you very much for the nice and clean place. Dr Hector P. & Pushpa

« Excellent, good value for money, clean, comfortable and well designed. »

It was my first time staying at an Ibis hotel, normally stay in one of the two other 'value' type hotels. I will choose Ibis again where ever possible. Extremely impressed by how well the rooms and facilities were designed. We loved the shower area! Very comfortable bed and clean facilities including the temperature control in the room. We didn't try the breakfast this time due to other commitments but will do so next time.

« Lovely clean hotel with great staff in good location. »

Very welcoming and happy staff to check you in. Great feel in the downstairs bar and cafe. Clean room with everything you need in a quiet yet very central location. The only downside was the breakfast, although we were down to breakfast just before 10am which was the cut off there was no beans or eggs left and only one sausage between 2. The staff were very polite in explaining that it would take too long to cook more but we felt that they should have checked what was left and warned us before they took our money at 9.55am. We paid full price for half a breakfast! Also they were so keen to clear away breakfast at 10am that we had to race around saving food before they took it away. They even unplugged the toasters which still had our crumpets in toasting. It was all very rushed we would rather they had said breakfast is finished and gone elsewhere. Having said that what we did have was lovely and all the staff very apologetic and kind.

As an Accor colleague I'd like to congratulate the team working the weekend we stayed at Ibis. My friend who works as cabin crew remarked on how corteus, profesional and helpful the staff was. Housekeeping did a great job (we had a DND on room, didn't need the room servicing but on entry the room was sparkless). María on reception is an assett to the company and we wish her the best to continue delivering five star service. She gave us the best check-in and check-outs we have ever had. We didn't catch the name of the two gentlemen who were in reception that weekend but they were also very helpful. The breakfast team dealt excelently and was very helpful. Bkf items were adequately replenished and the team helped us by bringing items that were missing when requested. No hastle at all to get a paid late check-out. The only awkward moment we encountered was when returning at night on Friday evening, we wish there was another night team member checking on the in-house list instead of the not very courteous security worker. We understand the position security are in in a party-heavy environment but the aproach could of been less intimidatory. The night team member was fantastic too and we wish him the best to progress out of the night.
