We've experienced a trouble related to the safety. When we left the hotel Friday night to go to a concert, we turned the room's lights off. However, when we got back to the hotel, the room's lights were turned on. It's seems like someone got inside the room when we were out. We registered this issue at the reception, but we haven't received any reply. Nothing has been stolen from the room, but, even so, it was an uncomfortable situation, to say the least.

Hotel simple, small bedroom, but cozy and located in Rio de Janeiro downtown. Good variety of options for breakfast, fast check in and check out. However, there is no gym at the building and the price is a bit expensive for the services provided.

I was in these IBIS hotels: (Porto Alegre , Goiania , São Paulo , Budapest (Hungria) ...etc This is the worst that i stayed. The room is not so good.. (old...bad smell) The breakfast is not so complete like other Ibis Hotels

Every time I stay with Ibis in Brazil I need to get the invoice in the companies name. Every time I have to fill out the full company information and no matter what the invoice comes under my name. It is a complete waste of time. I am giving up staying in your hotels.

The staff was extremely friendly. The downside of my staying was the noise due to the remodeling and the fact you guys don't have an outlet close to the bed. To charge my phone I had to get up and leave it on the counter. When you are trying to sleep, getting up is not an option.

I could not slept due the high noise my room had. I shut down the air conditioner to see it it was the source, but it was not. Poor breakfast too.

Positives - helpful staff and security personnel, comfortable bed, adequate number of hangers and the breakfast spread is decent but unchanging. The best thing about my stay is that I slept well and woke up fresh and rested Everyday. Negatives - this is at best a two-star hotel/motel. The bathroom is old and not well-maintained, the toilet seat is shaky and the shower stall glass doors do not close properly. There are no drinking water, cups, or a basic coffee machine provided. I really can’t imagine what the Budget Ibis next door is like because this is pretty Budget to me in terms of the basic room amenities.

1- The Hotel is under renovation and not informed, but thats ok; 2- I arrived around 10:04 pm and parking was closed, I left my car o the street; 3- The door was not working and i spent some minutes to fix; 4- I went down to reception to get some water and order a snack but the kitchen was closed, the receptionist suggested that I go outside to eat ?????. Rio de janeiro downtown after 10 pm is very unsafety, everybody worldwide knows about it.; 5- I ordered 2 water bottles, 3 beers and a sandwuich ( that was made the day before, but valid) and the recepcionist said that tehy will not give to me a bag to carry my stuff. No bag?????? 6- The control tv was not working. I used my batteries to fix the control; 7- And finally, the breakfast was available outside the hotel. Ibis is always a good option for business travelers .. It is clean and comfortable ... In my case ... I was unlucky and received pretty rough old towels. The restaurant was not available (the building were being renovated) and it was not easy to get access to the Mercury restaurant (I tried to enter twice without success).

I have been to IBIS several times. In general, I have always had a good experience. This time, however, I was a bit disappointed with the checkin. The third bed of my room was closed, and I needed to wait for someone to come up and open it. This was already late at night and the restaurant was about to close. When someone showed up, he brought only one sheet. I had to ask for another in the following day, as I might have missed the restaurant had I continued waiting. The hotel location and price are good if you have business in downtown. There are also several taxi drivers next to the hotel, and I had a positive experience with them. However, if you are in Rio for pleasure, there are definitely much better options when it comes to hotels.

When I arrived, the bathroom sink was full of hair; there were bits of nails and dust in the window; the mirrors were dirty. I've asked another cleanliness, but the mirror continued dirty and they do not mopped the floor. The check in staff is really nice.
