1- The Hotel is under renovation and not informed, but thats ok; 2- I arrived around 10:04 pm and parking was closed, I left my car o the street; 3- The door was not working and i spent some minutes to fix; 4- I went down to reception to get some water and order a snack but the kitchen was closed, the receptionist suggested that I go outside to eat ?????. Rio de janeiro downtown after 10 pm is very unsafety, everybody worldwide knows about it.; 5- I ordered 2 water bottles, 3 beers and a sandwuich ( that was made the day before, but valid) and the recepcionist said that tehy will not give to me a bag to carry my stuff. No bag?????? 6- The control tv was not working. I used my batteries to fix the control; 7- And finally, the breakfast was available outside the hotel. Ibis is always a good option for business travelers .. It is clean and comfortable ... In my case ... I was unlucky and received pretty rough old towels. The restaurant was not available (the building were being renovated) and it was not easy to get access to the Mercury restaurant (I tried to enter twice without success).

The best of the hotel was the location, near to several tourist places, good breakfast and room clean. The only it could be improved is the odor control in the hotel. At night there was a bad odor and generally in the hotel, coming from carpets I think

I have been to IBIS several times. In general, I have always had a good experience. This time, however, I was a bit disappointed with the checkin. The third bed of my room was closed, and I needed to wait for someone to come up and open it. This was already late at night and the restaurant was about to close. When someone showed up, he brought only one sheet. I had to ask for another in the following day, as I might have missed the restaurant had I continued waiting. The hotel location and price are good if you have business in downtown. There are also several taxi drivers next to the hotel, and I had a positive experience with them. However, if you are in Rio for pleasure, there are definitely much better options when it comes to hotels.

When I arrived, the bathroom sink was full of hair; there were bits of nails and dust in the window; the mirrors were dirty. I've asked another cleanliness, but the mirror continued dirty and they do not mopped the floor. The check in staff is really nice.

The staff was friendly, but I was not shown a bill upon my request at checkout. I was told it would be sent by email. It took an extra phone call and 3 days to arrive. There were spurious charges, and other charges I incurred were missing. Also the wifi is unreliable and cleanliness can be improved. If you rely on a clean bill and value your time, stay elsewhere.

I was well treated during the check-in and the check-out. However, my kitchen experience was awful. When I asked what options there were for dinner, I was presented to the regular buffet and one sandwich option only (Ibis Burger). The attendant (cashier), whom I can't remember the name now, was not happy at all. He looked angry or upset with something. The lack of sympathy was not everything. When I came down from the room to get my order, I saw the other employee carrying a cheese/ham sandwich to some other guest. If I new there was a lighter option, I'd definitely choose it instead of Ibis Burger. You should train better the employees. I don't know if this guy's behavior was because of the young age or something else. The point is: me as a customer cannot be badly treated in any case.

Perfect location during carnaval

Selected the hotel based on the location close to all carnival events (Sambadrome, Lapa, ...). Close to all activities, however the street with the hotel has no party and noise , so it is possible to rest/sleep.
