Don’t eat at the bistro, dreadful food. Visited a year or so ago, food great, bistro has definitely deteriorated in quality. Otherwise good stay, breakfast ok. Some facilities in common areas getting old and tired with poor atmospheres

Rooms are very spacious and well maintained. From the check in to the dining and bar the staff were vey friendly, they were very help full when asking about local attractions. The hotel is charming with beautiful gardens two restaurants and the bar is a great place to relax.

Comfortable bedroom but very cold restaurant so uncomfortable to sit and have a meal due to the cold temperature in the dining room. Staff very helpful and friendly .

Only issue was with the pillows (quickly rectified the following day). When I went to bed, I noticed stains on the pillowcases. On closer inspection, the pillow case was so thread bare that it was actually stains on the pillow that had caught my attention. Very distasteful! It made me check everything else for cleanliness (and everything else was clean). I slept without pillows that night. It was dealt with very quickly once my husband spoke to reception the following day,

Have stayed a few times at the hotel and pretty much the same every time. Staff friendly and courteous. Brealfast could do with a shake up as the same every visit. Quality could also be better ie: the bacon used is of poor quality and obviously not Australian. Ladt vusit look like it was reheated, tough and chewy. The loft room was a new experience and enjoyed the stay. TV up on loft not programmed as the TV down stairs so could be wired up similarly if possible. Overall all good.

I booked via our Concur business system but was very disappointed that my 3 night stay would now be acknowledged as part of my Accor points programme. I booked this venue in good faith and only on arrival was told it did not qualify. I have used the same booking system for other trips and they have all qualified. I will think twice before booking again.

Simply love staying at the Mercure Canberra. Always receive a warm welcome at the front desk. The room is always clean, spacious and comfortable. Dinner in the hotel bar attached to the Mercure was excellent as was the buffet breakfast. Our stay is always excellent value for money. We look forward to returning soon.

Started with commotion at front door from lady that should not have been there and I presume was overdosed. Twin room (2single beds) that was on my booking was apparently not even part of your Hotel and shouldn't be there on your site as an option. Parking ticket didn't work on 2 of 3 times I had to go out in car. Now the good bits. Absolute nice rooms that we did have even if 1 of our adult children had to be on a sofa. Large TV and air conditioning /heating that worked perfectly. Beautiful old building. The aspect that I really was impressed with is that you actually read the booking in notes that I had put in and made my wife special on her 50th birthday. There was a gift to celebrate in the room for her. Thanks.

Everything you need for a pleasant and convenient overnight stay. Comfortable room, good bistro or restaurant for when it is too cold or you are too tired to go out. God breakfast in pleasant surroundings. Close to city centre and other attractions.

Comfy and roomy rooms, good food and drink and close to the city.Parking is extra on room tariff and pricey at $25 a night.
