Having being told that there was secure storage for our cycles before booking, we were told that it was not possible when we arrived. We took the bikes to our room but this was not a satisfactory arrangement.

Maid ignored do not disturb sign every day and entered the room to clean it. Replacing the wrapped soap every day after one was opened seems very wasteful, didn't even have a chance to use the bar we opened. On the last night one of two towels was taken away but not replaced.

Been there before, it's stark, basic, but also very economical and well positioned to were I needed to be. But this time in mid-winter, the heating was barely below 30°C (didn't have a thermometer with me, but that's how it felt) and accordingly extremely dry. All three LEDs on the climate control unit in the room were blinking, temperature dial, fan and option switches had no effect. The window was towards the front, a major Paris commute thoroughfare, so you really don't want to open those windows. But the hot dry air completely overwhelmed my body's capacity to moisture my air supply and survival instinct pulled the body emergeny alarm after only three hours of sleep at 1:00. I tried moisturising the shower, hanging a whet towel but ultimately the only option was to open the window, using my suitcase to keep it from swinging fully open. I reported the broken heating control, I was assured it would be "looked into", but when I came back midnight next day, nothing was changed. I opened the window again, put in ear-plugs, but a couple of hours of urgently needed sleep, but my sinuses had taken a hit and I got an infection I still carry with me two days later. I was given another room for the next night, towards the back, this time the heating control LEDs didn't blink, but setting them at the lowest temperature, no-heating/only cooling auto or full blast fans, did nothing to lower the temperature, which seemed to be set in stone at perhaps 27°C is that room. Had to open the window again, aperture controlled with my suitcase, didn't really enjoy that night because of a stuffed nose and sore throat induced by overheated, overly dry Parisian air. The hotel manager was friendly, but evidently unable to overcome technology that was failing. He kept rumbling about how people had tried to fix customer complaints about rooms being too cold and now some rooms beeing to hot, others too cold, because the infrastructure was ... (effectively not well maintained). He also had trouble with his IT infrastructure, network connections being down or marginal (an issue also reported by the Sushi restaurant next door). The "room-maid" was a young man and he was the highlight of the hotel: It's rare to see someone, who seems to be so happy in making you happy. He beamed a giant smile and positive energy every day and when I forgot my electric teeth cleaning equipment in the room, he came running after me hundreds of meters down the road on my way to the tram, just to bring it to me! What a great person! His kindness and spirit lifted me and my general opinion on humanity by a couple of notches for days. For him alone, I'd give this place an 11. But ultimately I lost precious hours of urgently needed sleep (that's what hotels are for!), I am fighting a cold I should have never had, because it could have been avoided by a working climate control system, operating somewhere between 18-22°C and humidity somewhere around 30%. For that I'd award a 2 or 3, because at least the shower worked, the sheets were clean. The greatest staff cannot compensate serious technical deficits and vice versa, but overheating hotel rooms IMHO is not acceptable: Correct temperatures and humidity are basic to keep clients healthy.

Working by night, I was woken up every morning by the staff even with the do not disturb card put on. By the second day, the manager opened my door while I was naked to tell me to leave whilst I paid for 5 days. Worst stay ever.

We arrived late and checked in fine. Location, car park and room were as described. However, there were three things not good in the room; 1. Lock on window was broken and hanging off, 2. Shower was broken and hanging loose, - the bracket to hold it up was missing, 3. Toilet vent was missing

Tiny room.Tired room. Bunk beds. No decoration. Poor breakfast selection. I know its a budget hotel but Ibis is a large trusted chain of hotels so I booked this place without hesitation. This was a mistake I will not repeat.
