« Lack of professionalism »

Cleaning team came several times which was disturbing. Restaurant had very few Indonesien dishes and they were boring. The service was missing totally - one day we waited a quarter without any service (we left). Room looked old and tired. Reception team was good! Our overall stay on Bali would be 9-10. But wow the hotel did not meet the standards of the Bali we saw.

My wife and I (plus another couple) spent eight nights here recently and found everything to our satisfaction. The breakfast spread was huge, and the cook at the egg station even managed to poach eggs the way we like them (soft). The only negative from our time there was the first night, when the Mercure's heavy duvet made sleeping somewhat difficult, but a call to the office the next morning to request a top sheet soon rectified the problem. All in all, a very nice hotel located at the southern end of Sanur with plenty of restaurants nearby.

I love this place, staff are great & very helpfull. Love the pool, the beach and the garden. Even we got upgrade to 2 storey suites. The free complementary drink are even better, 2 glasses of bali wine. Breakfast are just ok, not too accomodate for indonesian but i think its great for westerner. Always stay here whe going to Bali...

« We love this resort - it's the perfect relaxing tropical getaway. »

We love this resort - we've been coming here for years. The ambience, with its great gardens, is relaxing and beautiful. The resort is looking a little tired but this really doesn't distract from the atmosphere or our enjoyment. The staff are a standout, always friendly and eager to help. It's the perfect relaxing tropical getaway. One quibble is the misleading advertising for the spa ... the advertised 20% discount on spa treatments for March turns out to only apply for the traditional Balinese massage, and was only given when we queried the bill at checkout (when they had to ask the spa!). While the spa is excellent, better communication and advertising would be helpful.

We take note on your constructive feedback of refurbishment, we pleased to inform that we do continually work on improvements to the Resort, though acknowledge until a full Refurbishment occurs, some elements of interior design will be the original design. Our extensive internal maintenance programs is close to a completion and we should have replaced 52 rooms worth of the older mosaic tiles which look very dated and are hard to maintain. This project is already 43 rooms completed. We have also changed nearly 1/5 of the Resorts bedrooms’ tiles over the last few months and more are being completed now. We will work diligently to do the best we can prior to any Resort Owner’s approval for refurbishment. With regards on your feedback of Spa advertising, please rest assure that I have been share with our respected department for our evaluation and improvement. Good location in Sanur. Staff friendly and helpful in reception and the spa especially. Rooms looking a little tired and in need of an update / refresh. If they are upgraded please think about your guests in the modern world and make sure there are sockets / charging points next to the beds!!

From the moment I exited the taxi and was greeted with fresh juice and and cold towelette the bellman and desk clerk were welcoming and very hospitable. My bungalow clean, cool, and very comfortable. The pool was very refreshing with pool towel service waiting. The food was delightful and tasty. The evening on the beach with the trio playing, mood lighting, and my feet relaxing in the sand was the highlight of my stay. I was very impressed with this resort and look forward to returning.

« Showing signs of age and needs a boost in the food department. »

I recently stayed on two occasions for a total of 5 nights. The rooms are just adequate in terms of cleanliness and sound-proofing and one of the two rooms I occupied had a clear mouldy smell to it. The place is old and faded and needs some investment and renewal. The food in the restaurant was extremely lack-lustre, especially given the high price (for Bali). I would not recommend eating there. Part of our stay overlapped with Nyepi - the day of silence. We were confined to hotel grounds for that period and the hotel made arrangements for a buffet supper - which was a great idea. Unfortunately, they seem to have miscalculated the amount of food that would be required. Most of our group (those that waited 15 min before going to the buffet table) missed out on most of the food and had to scrounge among the leftovers. This is unfortunate because, in my opinion, the food offered for Nyepi was better than what we had 'à la carte' the day before.

« A comfortable hotel in wonderful grounds and great location »

Staff were great and made us feel "at Home". Rooms were looking a bit "tired" but still comfortable. We were there for Nyepi Day and staff were happy to explain what it was about and recommend ways of experiencing it.
