First impression-was fantastic, greeted with smiles and a genuine welcome. Lovely idea to give a small chilled towel and cold drink to us as we checked in. Room- eveything we needed was there. The bed was very comfy. The balcony area and view completly brilliant. The room does need some attention and has seen better days, details matter. The room was clean and a great size. Staff- are all amazing, a real credit to the hotel. They always helped if needed and were super polite and so very kind. Their smiles always made us feel very welcome. Food- Breakfast fairly good with buffet options for all. Decent if not amazing. Eat dinner there twice, once a buffet, once the a la carte- lacks imagination and taste for both. Not well executed. Menu is limited and nothing special. Would be the first thing to improve. Facilities-pools, bar etc as this is a beach side hotel we went in the sea on a few occasions. There needs to be a fresh water shower close to the beach so you can wash the salt off your skin after swimming. The beach towels need replacing- look old, feel old. Pools were very good, clean, well maintained and cared for, well done. Bar was fun and enjoyable, good selection of drinks and icecream! Grounds-stunning trees, plants and animals, really very beautiful. Staff clearly look after this so very much. It was superb to walk around and see the different flowers, hear the various animals and enjoy the vibe. Location- very good, quiet and perfectly safe. Beach is a real plus. Atmosphere- calm, relaxing and friendly place to be. The hotel in Sanur just needs a little bit of care, i can only assume the place is due for a refurbishment soon? This isn't meant as a negative as the whole place is good. In the not to distant future the little details will turn into bigger issues. Please review.

Apart from the room structure, we have been replacing our towels in the room, pillow, and continuing upgrading our hotel facilities. We will work diligently to do the best we can prior to any refurbishment approved by the Resort’s Owners. « Good location but the hotel needs upgrade »

The location is great, on the beach. Very good and nice entrance. Staff very friendly at check in. The room, (executive) outdated, really needs some update. The outside sitting area was so small, 3 tiles by 6 tiles , that 2 people cannot really sit outside.

Our second stay started badly when told to come back in two hours to get our room. Came back hot and bothered and told room still not ready, not offered a drink to cool us down. Given a standard room, we knew it was but we had booked deluxe upstairs. Waited a while then taken to an upgraded room on the ground floor we had asked for upstairs, eventually got an upstairs deluxe room about as far from the restaurant as possible and given massage voucher for our trouble. Had problem getting into safe after couple of days, manager and security guard came to open it but said it was faulty and would be fixed. We could go out and it would be fixed. 24 hours later we called office for someone to open our safe which had not been fixed. Booked our massage, went down at appropriate time had to stand out in the sun for 5 or so minutes because door locked with note saying all staff busy. We were often given threadbare and stained towels at the pool. At breakfast the hot food, apart from eggs , was disappointing. The housekeeping staff were very good. We will be back but were quite disappointed with aspects of our last trip, the welcome and settling in are very important especially in a steamy climate.

« The food in restaurant needs major attention »

The resort has nice grounds and is quite peaceful but the resort needs updating . The rooms need attention as they are a bit dated . The food in the restaurant was in need of improvement , the quality was sub par . The beach was nice but it was not cleaned , there were cigarette buts and beer caps and general garbage laying around. The people were great that work there so we have no complaints with the staff at all .we had good experience with the friendly helpful staff .

when we arrive at the hotel, we had a very warm welcome, an was given lovely glass of freshener to drink. plus a bottle of water. then we booked in , the suitcases was taken to our room, when we seen the room we was not pleased with it, so we phone up reception an ask for another room. which they did, the reason was the sink tap was loose plus the room a bit drag, where we stay the there there was lovely plants the swimming pool an breakfast place an the breach was very close an very peaceful and the staff very helpful an friendly.

At Mercure, we strive to provide a superior service experience for every customer; therefore your feedback is very important to us. With Regards of the room condition, we would like to share that we do continually work on improvements to the Resort. With regards of the Resort Condition, we are continually work on improving the Resort. Our extensive internal maintenance programs are still carried on and we should have replaced the older mosaic shower tiles which give older impression of the resort. Also we have replaced 30% of the Resorts bedroom flooring. Now we are working on repainting all of our guest room interiors and replace all grouting for rooms that require it. With new cushions and some new outdoor furniture will bring dramatic improvement on our guests experience. Room was clean. Staff friendly and helpful. Toilet required maintenance and it was fixed immediately. Pools were nice. The main pool needs umbrellas for the chairs. The pool by restaurant did not have enough chairs. Beach had lots of seating. Wifi was excellent with signal strong even at the beach

Stayed 3 nights - the room was comfortable. Need more hooks to dry clothes (we were on the 2nd level). Service is excellent! Slow check-in process.
