Beside the rather complex check-in, the overall a very pleasant stay. As a member of Accors it is rather strange that evn after having prepaid my stay and after having had several mails, I was asked again to write down all the information that are on my membership card. I do not consider this as very afficient.

« Wonderful location nice atmosphere and happy staff »

Loved our 2 room bungalow right on beach close to everything. Restaurant was good except they couldn’t cope with a full house. The toaster did not work . You need to replace with one that works so many people complained about it. Breakfast buffet needs a bit of improving they have one sometimes two people cooking eggs . There is nothing pre cooked ,sometimes a long wait when they are busy. Otherwise very nice highly recommended. We will return.

« Nice hotel in beautiful surroundings »

We enjoyed our stay at the mecure ressort. We stayed in a family room. It was spacious and with a big balcony overlooking the pool and garden. The staff at the hotel was always very friendly and hepful. We enjoyed spending time in the pool which was very kid-friendly. It would have been nice with som extra sunbeds by the pool as they where ofte occupied. The hotel was beautifully placed right by the beach and there was a calm ambience. The spa at the hotel was rally nice with very reasonable prices. Overall a very nice experience.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our 9 nights at Mercure and noticed a number of improvements from the previous year. Our deluxe room was spacious and well equipped. We just had 2 small issues - the very small balcony was a problem as I have a very sore knee and was unable to stretch my legs out there so only used the balcony for drying the washing. We love sitting outside for a last drink before bed so it was disappointing. The other issue was the fridge which kept freezing everything. We tried turning the control down but didn’t help. We didn’t report it as it was a minor thing. Everywhere around the hotel was spotlessly clean, the breakfast bar vastly improved and the staff extremely helpful, friendly and well trained. I noted that new beach loungers had been added but there still didn’t seem to be enough and one day there were some quite nasty arguments between security and guests over loungers that had been saved. However, again just minor hiccups but I do have to say, I hate having to go out early to get a couple of loungers. The mixup over the airport pickup was dealt with swiftly once we managed to get hold of the hotel and we really appreciated the two free massages, and the delicious fruit. We are looking forward to coming again next year, this time with as group of friends to help celebrate my 70th birthday, and hope to once again stay at Mercure.

We stayed with other family members so had a family room and two deluxe double rooms. The family room was spacious with two bathrooms. The double rooms were small and the bathrooms were tiny. All rooms were shabby with various things not working properly - problems with the air-conditioner, refrigerators needed defrosting and didn't keep items very cold, mould in bathrooms, wardrobe doors missing, blinds broken, poor quality bedlinen and towels...I was also horrified to see a huge cockroach crawl from beneath a pillow in the children's bunk room while I was putting them to sleep. Terrible standard of accommodation. The positives were that the grounds are lovely, the food quality was good and staff were generally helpful.

Staff went out of their way to help us at checkin as the family room we were given was more suited to older children, they arranged an extra bed and managed to get it upstairs. The kids club was a great way to get the kids out of the pool for a few hours a day and they really enjoyed the mykids meals. Breakfast was very nice every day but you really need to look at how coffee is served as on every day the machines were often broken or out of milk with big queues. Also slightly disappointed that you’ve got my name wrong despite being the lead party on the reservation.

« Shabby and the entire resort needs a make over »

The rooms we were given were shabby and not that clean and had a dreadful outlook. We asked to be moved and we were - the rooms were better however I do believe the entire resort needs a total uplift. The Idea of the Cabins look is great and very appealing but the pool is shabby and the roofs had plastic tarp on tob of th thatched roofs suggesting leaks. The staff were all extremely friendly however needed some training in real customer service. The breakfast was not good and the coffee machines were breaking down each of the five days we were there. The beach decks needed re staining and the cushions needed to be cleaned every day. The used glasses by the pool were still there the next morning - not good

« In desperate need of renovation. »

The room was clean but rundown. The grounds were well maintained and free of rubbish. The Gardeners uniforms were threadbare, faded and the wrong size for the people wearing them. The concierge service was focused on looking after the local taxi/private car drivers instead of ensuring the guests received the most cost efficient form of transport. As a first timer to Bali I was well and truly ripped off in the first couple of days by rides organised by your hotel. I then discovered blue bird taxis but the concierge was reluctant to call them for me instead offering the other more expensive forms of transport instead.

« Peaceful, affordable, but old. »

It was a great stay, all the staff were friendly and happy to help. The rooms were clean and we were able to be accommodated into a ocean & pool facing room which was good. It was peaceful and a good location to be out of the busy sanur Main Street. The free Hardy’s transport is good. Only con, would be it is a outdated hotel, reenvations on the hotel rooms and pool area is needed, It was still a very lovely, and affordable hotel however.

Overall, it was a great experience. There was only one misunderstanding regarding our voucher. It was not clear whether we had drinks included with our dinner or not. The staff was able to resolve it in the end. Otherwise, everything was excellent. Everyone was friendly and helpful. Special thanks to the chef and his staff because the food was delicious.

« Nice resort, wonderful staff but some things can be improved »

The staff was very helpful and nice but the first night, I booked for 2 rooms and put my son's name for the other room (and also put the age) but they put us so far away, so I had to ask that they made the arrangement to have 2 rooms that were close to each other. The staff was really nice and did their best. The next day, we got new rooms. Some things that can be improved: AC in one of the rooms should be fixed because of the weird noises it made during the night (maybe you should check AC in all rooms to make sure that they work properly); the exhaust fans in bathrooms should be fixed as well. The number that we call to get 24/7 service didn't work that well: nobody answered the phone and I called three times. I had to go to the front office to ask them to tell the room service for things.

« The hotel was much better on previous visits »

Beautiful location and garden I have probably stayed there 40 times over the years but this time was disappointing. The rooms need updating, water was mostly cold, food was cold from breakfast buffet, staff had been cut in restaurant and service poor. Need a separate quiet pool as noisy unsupervised children made that small pool miserable. In general needs smartening up in all areas.

I truly regret to know that your stay was not totally up to your expectations and knowing that you had to face some inconveniences due to the maintenance taking place during your stay fills us sadness. We take note on your concern of service at our restaurant and it has been addressed with our Chef and Food & Beverage for further action. With regards of room condition, We are pleased to informed that we are continually work on improving the Resort, though until a full Refurbishment occurs, the resort design will be remain the same. Our extensive internal maintenance programs are still carried on and we should have replaced the older mosaic shower tiles which give older impression of the resort. Also we have replaced 30% of the Resorts bedroom flooring. Now we are working on repainting all of our guest room interiors and replace all grouting for rooms that require it. With new cushions and some new outdoor furniture will bring dramatic improvement on our guests experience. Once again, thank you for the constructive feedback.
