The staff was friendly and helpful. However the room is quite tired, especially the bathroom. There is a construction site right across the street and it is very noisy. The spa is a bit disappointing compared to spas in other Sofitel.

The hotel was one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in. The buffet is the best buffet we have ever had. The selection and quality of food superseded a 5 star restaurant. The staff was magnificent. It was a great start to our 20 day Indonesian cross country holiday.

Very happy with our adjoining rooms - tidy and clean. Pool area was lovely and relaxing. The Vino bar was a real haven and we are grateful for the courteous staff there. We enjoyed the music too. All the staff were polite and kind. We found the food less satisfactory. We did not enjoy the breakfasts (except for the bread and butter pudding) and we didn't like the buffet meals. We preferred the in-room dining. Think you need to look at your menus.

I had a late check in , simple words should be natural and no simply PASSAPORTS!!!, no welcoming !!! The check in took a long time ,and the room arranged was so far from the lobby (room 567 ) although my disabilities , as a ACCOR MEMBER , I do not have any facility , no e-mail answer , neither someone to improve my stay , unfortunately is a hotel that I will not come back

nice experience in general but with an initial problem that disappointed me at the very beginnin (check in). what a pity, the building is amazing and i really appreciated the breakfast but not satisfare about check in. i had to wait a lot to get the room (not only me, also other customers were saying the same). then, during ckeck in I ask the staff a room with view, if not pool view at least a balcony to the restaurant courtyard. the staff reassured me but when later i get the room, the balcony was on the parking, from my windows i saw the main road. very few room as such bad view, so why they give me that when i clearly asked for something different? at least the staff should have told me in advance so i can consider to pay more for a better room. really disappointed

A lovely hotel with character in Yogyakarta. My poolside room was large and the bed very comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful. I liked that the hotel uses recyclable glass bottles in the bedrooms rather than plastic. Breakfast was good but would have been better with a few more western choices. I enjoyed happy hour in the bar.

This colonial hotel has a lot of local culture and embraces heritage Checkin is airconditioned and formalities are processed while you wait in the history museum lobby. It has old photos and newspapers from before the war supllemented with objets d'art. The restaurant features buffetnights starting from 175.000 idr ++ with live coocking stations but also a nice à la carte menu. Alcohol is availble. For our two nights stay i tried the thai beef salad and the satay mix and both were very tasty. Complimentary choice of bread is offered. At breakfast one can find also gluten free items. The suite is decorated classic with ample seating, a complimentary minibar + snack set up. There are two televisions, kettle for thee and coffee, enough bottled water Ladies vanity area with mirror Walk in closet with safe and bathrobes / kimono A comfy king bed with three cushion types Bathroom has a seperate shower and bath set up Toiletries are provided and amenities by L'occitane Daily replenished jar with winegums Welcome fruitplatter Balcony overlooks the swimmingpool Earplugs are provided ---------------- all excellent clean and in good upkeep Service by well behaved and groomed staff at reception, polite and helpfull at restaurant, service cleared plates was efficient, staff met in corridors alwats politely greeted, guest relations meetup ensured customer appreciation

The young chef who served the JCC meeting group (KOMINFO) was very friendly and good. I would like to compliment for his excellent service as he was very friendly and caring especially to the two vegetarian delegates (sorry, I dont know his name). He asked for the diet requirement and also put effort in making the delegates some special vegetarian cuisine. Overall room, toilet and facilities are old and need improvement.
