« Rich in heritage. Convenient location. »

Very friendly and service oriented staff. Very interesting collection of artifacts and interior design of the guest facilities. But food is bland. Housekeeping is average as my coffee was not replenished and the bath towels on the 1st day looked like rags.

Loved all the staff they made us feel very welcome. Only downside was the bar, which didn't have a good selection of wine which was also very expensive, apart from that everything else was great especially breakfast

« Beatuful hotel, not too well maintain »

It’s a beautiful hotel with friendly and helpful staff however Our bathroom was dirty. We do check in in the afternoon and go around Jogja until late night. When we got back in our room we found a lot of hair inside the toilet. But we too tired to call and asked someone to clean so decide to do it by ourself. Next two days we left hotel a bit late afternoon and leave make up room sign on the door knob. When we get back late night the room was not clean and the sign was missing from the door knob. I love historical hotel and prefer this kind of hotel during my trip however as much as I love Phoenix Hotel I will not stay here again on my next visit to Jogja. The noisy sound of motorbike that you heard every night is terrible. Will be great if the service in spa can be improve, the staff is nice but the skill is not there.

The Phoenix hotel is a great hotel with very friendly personnel. We found the breakfast experience one of the best ever, the choice of food, the quality of the food and the higjly attentive team to fulfill every extra wish. The rooms are smaller but very comfortable bed and pillows for very relaxing nights.

Phoenix Hotel has always been my favorite hotel in Yogya. It has very nice decoration, a very nice combination of classic heritage building with modern combination. Staff are always very nice, especially in the restaurant that I have known some staff, like mbak Tami and mas Bayu whom I have known them for very long time, even as far as the first time the hotel re-open after being bought by Sun Motor with branding Mercure Hotel, they are always very friendly and helpful. Even I have not stayed in this hotel for quite long, they still remember my favorite or habits for breakfast, which I really appreciate. I always feel like being at home when staying in this hotel, warm and welcome. Keep up the excellent job. Just a small note that I think it is already time to replace the bath towel.

Room was prepared well by the housekeeping, very clean and good quality for all the stuffs. I got room upgraded to the poolview, i was so touched when i found my favorite snacks with the lovely words on the card also with my photos which prepared well by the Guest Experience Team. The breakfast was awesome, all kind of foods spreaded and i can easily find the healthy corner wich serve fresh juice, quinoa, carrot soufle and many others. I spent my evening at the vino bar. It was great! They have many collections of wine in the wine cellar, staffs was very good. I ordered gin sling which became their signature drink since 1930 and they showed me how to make it, so interesting. The happy hour is the best promotion ever. Oh, they did daily thematic buffet dinner. Lucky me, i got experience to taste their barbeque dinner on Friday, oh my god the dinner was so huge and tasty! The chefs walked around to make sure all the food in the good condition. All the staffs are so helpful and always smiling. Many thanks to all, i will definitely stay at The Phoenix when i come to Jogja.

My amazing experience stay in Yogyakarta, I love the atmosphere of its hotel and the architecture. I had an amazing breakfast and lunch in The Hotel, I'd like to say thanks to Arseeta, the girl that I met in breakfast area(Paprika Restaurant) for take good care of me. I really enjoying my stay while inside of my room, the facilities were amazing and there are everything I need. I thank to housekeeper, and all the staffs, for making me feel welcome in everyside of the hotel. I love the pool anyway, I really can relax my mind and enjoy the blue sky. I'm in love with this hotel since I step my feet at the reception area, the staffs extremely helpful and really care to guest, there's a staff that really kind to me, as long as i remember, her name is Geraldine, but I forgot what's her job, but I met her at the lobby and makes me feel welcome. I heard that the building was 100years ago built by a chinese-boss who lived in Yogyakarta and having colonial-javanese and chinese architecture. however, I'm in love with this hotel and Yogyakarta. I would like to come back there soooooon!

The staffs was very friendly since check in process and during my stay. proces check in was notnin the counter but in the living room that called museum, bakpia as welcome snack was so authentic and delicious. the breakfast was wonderfull, i got chocolate ice cream on my waffle.. they provide the healthy corner that so amazing. we were stay at deluxe pool view, nice view and feel relax and quite eventhough this hotel is in the city center.. very recomended hotel in Yogyakarta, hope could stay there on my next trip to Yogya
