I stayed at the Novotel in Reading having already stayed in other comparable hotels in the area. I was impressed by the frendliness and professionalism of the staff. They made me feel welcome and it was a pleasure interacting with them. The room itself was clean and comfortable. Overall my experience of Novotel Reading was very positive.

Hotel staff were extremely helpful. Hotel was very clean. The room was very hot at night. At breakfast streaky bacon was very tasty ,the coffee from the machine was not the hottest ,the orange juice wasn’t chilled but apart from that breakfast was quite nice.

I was so impressed that upon our early arrival our room was available. It made getting ready to meet our relatives so much easier after our train ride to Reading. The staff we encountered were very pleasant. Very comfortable beds.

We have stayed here on a number of occasions with good experiences but this time were very disappointed and had a very bad night's sleep. Service in the restaurant was virtually non-existent. We had to show ourselves to a table and find a menu as there were no staff looking after the restaurant. I even had to prompt reception to get someone to take our order. The air conditioning in our room, meaning that we had a hot and disturbed night (until 4:30 am) due to the revelries on Friar Street.

We have stayed here before with good experiences but were very disappointed this time. The service in the restaurant was virtually non existant as we had to show ourselves to a table and find a menu for ourselves. We even had to prompt reception to get somebody to take our order.The air conditioning in the room was not working, meaning that we has to open the window to get any sort of bearable temperature, hence exposing us to the delights of Saturday night revelry on Friar Street (until 4:30 am). Didn't get much sleep!
