Welcoming and accommodating staff, newly refurbished, clean, perfect central location, good choice of breakfast. My only slight issue was that the holder for the shower head didn’t work properly, so it was difficult to stand under the water flow. This could easily be fixed though, and I am sure it will be.

Second time I’ve stayed here. It’s central location makes it perfect to visit my son when I don’t have a car. Rooms are basic but clean and comfortable. There were some inconsiderate guests making noise at 03:00 but that’s not the hotels fault. I didn’t have breakfast here this time but on my previous stay I did and it was good value for money. I will definitely be booking here again when I come back in the summer.

I regret that you found the temperature of your room to be too warm and am very sorry if this prevented you from enjoying a good sleep. Our Ibis hotels have an ‘air cooling’ system in place which does differ from air conditioning and this system is partly dependant on the external temperature. According to expected weather conditions for the time of year, the heating was on rather than the cooling system. As in actuality it was unseasonably warm at the time of your stay, I can only apologize if this system was not sufficiently effective on this occasion. I am also sorry for the inconvenience of the shower temperature. I asked my maintenance team to investigate this immediately. We appreciate your sharing your concerns, and it is our hope that you will give us the opportunity to better serve you in the near future. Unfortunately, I found the bed very uncomfortable. I could not turn down the heating even though I set the thermostat to minimum (10 degrees). Opening the window helped except the night was windy and made a lot of noise with the window open. At £271 .60 for two nights I felt this was lot of money for a poor quality sleep.

Comfortable bed, extra pillows. Shower cubicle worked well. Room could have done with coat hooks. And experience only spoiled by vibrating mobile phone in the room next to us, that repeatedly went off from 5am to 10am! Very annoying. Breakfast was excellent, but very sparse on cooked vegetarian options.

Overall extremely comfortable and welcoming. Only a couple of negative issues to comment on. My wife found the pillows extremely hard and we understand softer options were not available. Despite adjusting the thermostat the room sometimes did not seem to warm up to a satisfactory level. I found the online booking slightly confusing with respect to the amount taken as an advance deposit.
