Good services, perfect location and nice breakfast. Room was really quiet and nicely decorated. The breakfast was too noisy for singe people and couple and would recommend hotel to arrange a special areas for families with kids so that some other parts could be reserved for people with no children. Same applies to the spa. Some hours should also be reserved in the evening for adults only to order to avoid the noise of the children playing in the pool...

We stayed for 4 nights for a reunion. The hotel is situated right outside Hauptbahnhof which is ideal travelling by train. The reception staff are friendly and assured us our room was lovely. It was ok, but overlooked an alleyway and if you opened the window was very noisy. Each morning there was a constant banging either from other guests leaving their door on a latch or a service door. We were unable to find out which. Biggest complaint glass doors to bathroom, not soundproof at all. Coffee and tea and water and tissues not replaced. Should treat loyalty customers better.

The hardware of this hotel is very strong, the room is spacious, updated, reasonable. The restaurant downstairs is reasonable and serves delicious dishes, it has a small outdoor garden area where you can have a very nice meal in the evening without disruption from the train station next door. The opportunities for improvement: check in took quite some time, only two counters open and 1 could not check us in. The hotel is generally dark including the room lighting, could be made brighter.

Everyone was very helpful and courteous, loved the room and the pool/spa, had a good meal in the restaurant, great location next to train station and walking distance to old town. We checked out quickly very early in the morning, assumed our itemized invoice would be emailed to us since they didn't give us one. Big mistake. I have emailed the hotel twice asking for the invoice since my credit card statement shows an amount about $200 more than I expected, but have heard nothing. Guess I'm going to have to make a long-distance call to get it.

This is the hotel I decided to stay at for my 40th birthday so I decided to spend a little extra money on this specific night. We were treated nicely at reception but there was some confusion with the two rooms we had and we couldn’t have been further away from the elevator and apart from the rest of my family. I can deal with that but taking 2 1/2 hours to deliver a bed for my daughter is completely unacceptable. I called three times and she was unable to go to sleep until 10:30 PM which is completely ridiculous for a five-year-old. I expect more for the price I paid. The rooms were quite small but that’s probably just because of the area. All of the other hotels I’ve stayed in Europe so far have been much bigger and half the price. I was pretty disappointed especially since it was my birthday!

Hotel is beautiful and the facilities are good, but the rooms are a bit strange - as you can see people sat on the toilet or in the shower as the fancy sliding mirror divider thingy doesn’t fit flush - definitely design over function. We also had a porter banging on our door at 1am with room service that we never ordered as we had been asleeep for 3 hours! When checking out we had also had two breakfasts added to our bill which we never had (removed by reception) sorry but won’t be back - too many things that annoyed our stay.

Not up to Sofitel standards of other Sofitel properties: -wanted to charge me for giving me my room at 10:00AM..outrageous -room AC provided little cooling, not the amount is should have -received wake-up call 30 minutes late...again outrageous -- one bag never transferred to the room, I had to come downstairs and look for it

The hotel is excellent. Everything works. So I will just point out the few things that might make it even better - the sliding door in the bathroom. You either close the shower or the toilet. Not good. - internet speed was lacking and at least my devices kept disconnecting and having to go to the accept terms and condition page - internet speed in business center not good either. - PLEASE don’t allow people to smoke in the outside seating you have at the hotel entrance. We were a family with 2 kids. Went to enjoy dinner. Another family with a kid was there also. Everything perfect until a couple arrived and started smoking cigars. Both families changed tables twice, but the odor and smoke was unbearable. We requested the check and went to another restaurant. If you want to allow smoking in your property (its 2019 and it should be banned) do what the Kempinski in Vienna does. Offer an enclosed cigar room where guest can go and smoke all they want, without disturbing other guests.

We (Bain and Company) constantly book rooms in this hotel. Me myself switched from SPG (just across the street as you know) to you. When we arrived (and had reservations made) a colleague of mine and I, we were told that there is only one room available (he is platinum I myself am a gold member). We had to sleep in the same room and we were promised that corresponding compensation will be communicated to us by management. I still have not heard anything from management. I am considering switching back to SPG provided the disappointing experience I had this one night.
