it was a pleasure to stay in this hotel! very friendly staff and very nice room! all clean and new style! love it! at the restaurant we had a small snack and the breakfast in the morning was fantastic! in 5 minutes walking you are in the city centre of Hannover so a great loacation! we were nice surprised we had BVN (dutch television netwerk) at the tv!

We stayed only one night at this hotel, literally a place to sleep. We arrived later around 10:30pm and were greeted by a sour host at check in with an attitude. The room and accommodations were great for the rate however the staff were sub par in their attitudes.

Overall, there were major communication issues between departments. The minibar was not working properly and the beverages were warm. Communicated to front desk but it was not fixed. I had to go back and inform but agent said "I informed them but do not know". My room included late check out as a part of rate plan and I double checked with the same agent, whom confirmed the night before check out for 15:00. However, at 12:00 my sleep was interrupted two times by front desk telling me to check out. I informed them about the information given to me and I was told "we do not know this". Really strange level of responses in both cases as if the people are not a part of one hotel and brand and acting as individuals. Every morning at 09:00 drilling noise started. Guests should be informed of such work prior to arrival. After arrival such noisy work usually should not be carried out before 10:00AM.

Okay location for walking into centre of city but by taxi different price every time. Neighbor hood a bit dodgy. Biggest negative not being able put any drinks/meals to your room. Needs to have an iron and board on room not down the hall

I love the fact that this is the only Hotel in the Accor chain that know who I am. I mean, they see my reservation and get everything prepared, even the invoice address that I always have to ask to change to my employer is already done. As normal as this may sound, it does not happen in other Hotels even with my gold membership status.

I enjoyed the stay. The hotel has a good bar where we were able to entertain friends. My wife felt the pillows in the bed were the most uncomfortable that she had slept on. Do you have a selection of pillows. She said other hotels we had stayed in had offered these.

« Room was small »

This is the first time I stayed in Accor Hotels. I am a platinum member of Marriott and Westin. For the price I paid for the Mercur I expected to get a really good room in a small city like Hanover. Instead first received a room that was stinking of smoke even though it was on a non smoking floor. The receptionist was diligent to exchange the room quickly. However here is what I found that felt a bad value for the money: 1. Just 2 pillows on the bed 2. The blanket could barely cover half of the bed 3. The room was very small 4. The bathroom was even smaller The good things were: 1. The room was clean 2. It did not look very used 3. Enough outlets I will stick to Marriot/Westin brand hotels for my future trips. During Domotex fair price very expensive,Lack of staff in front office, sometimes only one person, very slow to handle guests, take time for check in and check out, we was waiting for receipt untill taxi coming , not prepared well.

First things first - the hotel looks nice, and it's not too far away from anything that you'd find getting about onerous. The room is comfortable, and the 'free minibar' with water, Coke and a couple of beers is most welcome - we'd have preferred a simple kettle to a Tassimo machine, but a kettle is decidedly less boutique. We didn't take the breakfast (at €20 each, we considered that laughably expensive, even if you were a business traveller with an expense allowance). Things that didn't work for us - housekeeping: on the first morning, they knocked on the door around 10, and we hadn't gone out for the day, and they didn't come back later; interestingly, reception reckoned I'd filled out a card to decline housekeeping, which wasn't true. The following day, my wife did a Parkrun, so we WERE out at 10 - we got back around 11:30/12, so she could shower and we could go out again - except that was when housekeeping wanted to clean our room; this time, however, they did come back later. The following day, when we were due to check-out, they came around 10 again. My booking was for a privilege room, which also includes bathrobes (didn't see them) and late check-out, which reception didn't know anything about. According to the blurb, late check-out is up till 6pm - which we couldn't have, but they let us stay till 2. I've no idea if housekeeping bothered after that or if they left it till the next day. It gives an overall impression of disorganisation and a lack of communication.

« Friendly clean Hotel with good Food and 10 minute walk to Train Station »

That staff members (restaurant and reception) spoke English was great. They were always helpful and welcoming. The room was fashionable and clean. I enjoyed the food at the Hotel for Breakfast and Dinner. Requesting a Taxi was easy and fast. This was my second visit staying here and I would come back again.
