We took the 'executive room' which was double the standard price expecting that at least it'd be top class, but it really was hardly different to any other standard room. The free mini bar had one beer and some fruit juice and chocolate block. The shower had a low angled roof so you have to duck down while showering! There was nothing about it (apart from the average mini bar) that seemed better than a 70€ room.

Novotel Würzburg is a top located Business Hotel with an open space parking facility and wast executive rooms to offer great comfort. Breakfast is served at 06:30 for Business people with an impressive variety of food. Also the bar invited for a Rest after a hard office day!

From the last times I remember the staff being more friendly and welcoming (reception desk for check in and check out). Also, having two huge double duvets in a queen size bed is not an optimal solution. Almost no space left to sleep. During the night you are busy with arranging that which does not give a good night's rest. Having two single (one person) blankets would be the right thing.

Hotel is conveniently located, with a relatively easy walk to the town center. Car park is extremely narrow, apparently built when cars were a lot smaller. Breakfast is good, however the coffee could be stronger. The Christmas market was very good and the hotel staff helpful in changing a restaurant reservation last minute. In general a good hotel that could do with a car park renovation.

Checkin was not informative regarding parking, restaurant times and room functions. Room was cold and our phone request for extra blankets was ignored. Finally had to go down to front desk, wait again to speak to agent to request in person. The room was equipped with a quarter roll of toilet paper and no extra toilet paper or tissue in room, which we had to place a request for as well. That being said, lobby bar service was excellent throughout our stay. We are still waiting a reply regarding the incorrect billing on our emailed statement. Please note, we were charged for 3 days breakfast, which we did not consume. This charge was not on the final bill that we approved when checking out. We are awaiting your reply for this issue.

« Tired property, rude staff »

I booked this after staying in other Novotel hotels and being impressed. However this simply isn't up to Novotel standards, the property is old and tired, the corridors were dirty, the reception staff are rude and brusque. We had had a long car journey and had booked this hotel on the basis it had a restaurant and paying car park on site as advertised on their website. The carpark was a public carpark and there were no spaces so we ended up having to park elsewhere. We tried to eat in the hotel restaurant but the waitress was so rude, she slammed my husbands drink on the table and then ignored us, so after 20 minutes or so we had no option other than to leave and find an alternative restaurant down the street. There were only two waitress working that night and they were clearly overworked and stressed but that is not the fault of the paying customer. Clearly reading some of the other reviews after we'd stayed would have put us off booking. I would advise anyone expecting normal Novotel standards not to stay here.

My wife and I stay at this hotel every year. We had massive issues with the in room air conditioning. The room was far too hot. The air just did not cool the room. I did mention this to the front desk but nothing was done. Also the door handle into the bathroom was very loose.

The Manager took care of me on this stay however the App disappointed me. The Hotel should have a way to Book Nights on the spot using Points if the Customer chooses to use them without a headache in doing so...
