« Good quality as you can expect from Novotel, but breakfast can be better. »

Friendly, helpful staff (we booked last minute via telephone and could arrange a room with connecting doors for us). Nice gesture to welcome us with free of charge drinks. Nice, spacious rooms - clean, but a bit worn out. Only the breakfast is not worth 19 Euro. It could be more creative, more trendy and the quality of the ham, sausages and cheese could be better. Also, there is a queue at the coffee machine because there is only one.

Hotel was wonderful, clean and great breakfast. Restaurant had great food only service was slow and meal took a long time to reach the table. Maybe under staffed during Christmas period? Otherwise an overall perfect night.

« Terrible Room with some staff verging on being rude. »

This was a terrible room, with the bed squeezed into a corner, and the sloping roofline made it virtually impossible to squeeze out of the bed at the bottom. When I explained the difficulty to reception, as my husband has a bad knee and I could not climb over him without potentially hurting him, nor could he climb over me, they were extremely unhelpful and unsympathetic. Whoever sleeps against the wall also has no way of reaching a light switch, increasing the risk of hitting your head against the sloping roof in the dark.

« Very close to the main train station »

This hotel is very close to the main train station making it convenient if you are coming from Frankfurt. It is also very close to some of the key attractions of the city (eg the Prince Bishops Residence) and the market place where you will find a lot of shops and eateries. The hotel was good, reception staff were very helpful although breakfast staff seemed a bit stressed and failed to interact with customers making them feel welcome. As they say a smile and a pleasant good morning goes a long way. The room facilities were good and the hotel must be getting close to its refurbishment time.

Jenny who works in the restaurant is allways friendly and give the best service. Your breakfast is a good start at mornings. Rooms are clean. But bathtub are a bit worn-out.

We booked 4 nights at the hotel and decided to book an Executive room because of the extras, free premium WIFI, free minibar, Nespresso Machine, bathrobe, safe and air conditioning. The room we were given was a corner room, we dropped of our bags and went exploring Wurtzburg. Got back to the hotel about after 8pm and found we had no WIFI in the room. We decided to have a drink from the mini bar and discovered that there was only 1 bottle of beer, 3 x bottles of water and 4 x bottles of soft drinks, for 2 adults? I thought there would have been a small bottle of wine given the region we were in! I had the beer. Watched some TV and found the remote wouldn't turn the TV off, managed to get it off after lots of pressing of the button! The next morning I spoke to a housekeeper I met in the corridor re the TV remote and then went down to the reception, they informed me that I would have to speak to the internet provider direct re the WIFI, we went out and I said I would ring them when I came back in. Rang them about 1845 that night, said they would look into it ref no 10…, engineer rang back at 1917, said he couldn't help but would get someone to look at it in the morning, I told him we would be out sightseeing, he said he would speak to the reception. Checked with reception on our return, nobody had rang! Took the beer out of the fridge, I couldn't close the door, switched the TV on, eventually, the remote hadn't been fixed, Rang reception, they said nobody could come until the morning, however a chap knocked at the door some 5 minutes later, he said the remote was broken and didn't know what was wrong with the fridge. The light on the fridge suddenly came on with the door open, after investigation I found a piece of paper wedge into the light switch on the fridge, if I pushed it in the light went out, on further investigation I discovered that the door wouldn't close because a rubber stopper which sticks to the door glass and pushes against the light switch had fallen off, tried to stick it back on again but fell off! Pushed the paper in the light switch and the light stayed off. sometime during the night the paper must have broken free because the light came on again!!! Put a towel over the fridge! Reported the problems to reception the next morning to a female receptionist, the receptionist I spoke to said it is always a problem to get WIFI in that room and other corner rooms! I asked her why do you sell it as an executive room if you can't get WIFI! She said she would get somebody to look at the fridge and the TV remote. Came back that night, the remote had been changed, the rubber stopper had been put back in its place, I noticed that the paper was still in the light switch! Still only 1 x beer, drank that and the rubber stopper fell off again!! Still no WIFI, unless I stood by the door!!! I was offered a change of rooms but by this time we were settled and accepted that the mini bar was inadequate and the WIFI nonexistent!! On check out I did inform the receptionist of my concerns, the receptionist apologised for the WIFI and told me that the hotel is child friendly that is why only 1 bottle of beer in the room, I applaud your sentiments but when 2 adults are in the room surly the mini bar could have at least 2 alcoholic drinks and given that it is a wine region, some wine!!

Room OK, Staff friendly and helpfull. Pool disappointing, I thought I could swim at the hotel, it's only suitable for floating. Parking is a nightmare, spaces too narrow, it takes 10 minutes to drive in and 10 minutes to drive out, high risk of damaging your (rental) car.
