Rooms clean and recently renovated. Staff were very friendly and helpful but I had asked for a room suitable for disability and ended up with a room at the far end of the 5th floor = not good in event of emergency.

The location across from the Porta Nigra and easy walking access to the heart or Trier was excellent. We had no difficulty finding and using the parking. The room was pretty much as expected, but the mattress was a bit worn and with uneven support. The front desk staff was cheerful and helpful

As I had booked a Privilege King Room (also Accor Member), and there was a large group of cyclists also booked into the hotel, we appeared to have been upgraded to a suite. It overlooked the Porta Negra and wee were totally spoilt. We have always liked staying in Mercure hotels but this stay topped them all.

There may be other hotels just as nice in Trier, but I don’t think I’d stay anywhere else. The location is great, the staff are friendly & helpful and the rooms are pretty nice. The underground car Park is also very useful if, like me, you travel there independently.

we stayed one night in the Hotel, from there you can reach everything in walking distance, and the view is really nice. We got the suite as upgrade and was really beautiful, the service people were very simphatic and clarified all our questions. Parking places are in the hotel location, you pay 13 Euros per day.

Great location, rooms overlooking the Porta Nigra. Friendly staff, breakfast is ok, but not special. Airco wasn’t working, first 2 nights we didn’t notice as we had the window open, but the 3rd night we wanted to sleep early, and the street was still noisy, so we tried the airco, but to no avail.

My overall assessment would be great. Wonderful hotel location, kitchen, window view. As a member of Accor, after receiving a welcome drink, I would like to choose from a larger offer, such as a cocktail, not just beer or wine.

It started off with a prolonged checking process as the young lady entrusted with it was clueless. I had an online confirmed booking I am frequent Mercure guest, thus all my details are on record, but not here. Painfully slow check in process. Room was ok, however the room was not made up for the second night stay at all - pointing this out during check out a shoulder shrug was all I received. The restaurant attached to the hotel is fair with efficient service. The biggest plus for the hotel is the free parking, either underground or in the parking lot next to the hotel and the good internet speed. Will come back and stay there again, I don't think so.
