Everything was easy when we arrived at the hotel. Our bed was so comfortable and the spa was very peaceful. The highlight of our trip was the staff. Nicest staff ever. The girls at the reception and Pablo at the restaurant. Thank you to everyone we met. Cheers from Belgium

1. Customer handbook in room out of date. The offer to charge your phone etc if you have forgotten charger is no longer available I was told. 2. Large piece of plastic found in self service cut fruit. 3. Limited choice of black teas available at breakfast. 4. Waited for a clean and prepared table for breakfast. All the while there was available tables that had been reserved but not used while we were there. 5. Poor quality pillows and pillow cases that didn't properly fit the pillow. 6. Very small TV that is extremely difficult to see from seat or bed. 7. Don't expect a kettle and tea/coffee in your room. 8. Dirty stains on stair carpets. Not what we had expected for the price.

Excellent bedroom, with a view of the trees Breakfast is amongst the two best I had in Europe. The spa has a nice swimming pool with mineral water. and the saunas are always on. Excellent service.

« Not bad but not 5 star »

Nice entrance to the hotel but it quickly went down hill in the hallways. Light shades were in a very poor condition all the way along the halls and desperately need replacing, ripped torn dirty and full of flies. The room was nice, a good size with a nice bathroom but no bathtub just a shower. When booking a 5 star hotel it didn’t occur to me some rooms would not have a bath tub???? The furniture in the room was tatty with the chair fraying at the edges which gives the room a tired feel to it. The food and service in the restaurant was good although I had a plum sorbet which tasted like meat. The one very noticeable thing was how terrible the atmosphere was in the restaurant, the hotel was fully booked yet there was hardly anybody in the restaurant?! Breakfast was nice again but did lack in much service which again I would of expected in a 5 star hotel. Overall there were nice parts of the hotel but equally not nice parts which brought the standard down.

« Great time, great facilities, good service »

We enjoyed our stay very much. The premises are great, especially the pool and sauna are excellent. Rooms are big and nice. There were some problems with our breakfast on the first day (no space in the main bit and we were put in a unsuitable room, where the service was poor), but it was better on the other three days. Your breakfast chef is a star, he is absoluitely brilliant.

thought this grand old hotel may not be need of a little updated of the wall covering and a some worn carpet the Staff and Service are excellent. Clean rooms, supported by friendly, helpful, and prompt attentive staff more than make up for a little aging that require millions in investment. I will take first rate service over appearances and'just another customer' attitude any time i visit a hotel. Stay was in June 2018

Again, a marvellous stay, very relaxing and nice. I just love the hotel I visited frequently when my late mother was alive, and it is just superb, very unique and luxurious. I enjoyed the attentiveness and expertise of your staff, especially Mr Mertens on the Breakfast shift and all the lovely people in the Elephant Bar - in the last resort, a luxury hotel without dedicated front office staff just cannot work, and the Quellenhof fulfils the most demanding requirements in that respect. Magnificent building from a different epoch, with quite large rooms, that has everything to offer what a customer needs. Different rooms, however, would have to be renovated and modernized. In my room (LUXURY ROOM - with 1 King Size Bed) there was unfortunately neither coffee machine, nor a hot water heater.

Since many years (since Quellenhof was Sofitel) my wife and I book at your hotel.to enjoy the City of Aachen, the hotel sauna and most of all the wonderfull restaurant with Gerant Mr. Steiner. The rooms are ok but have a certain nice atmosphere, although TV sets are really too small and often too to well placed if one likes to watch TV from the bed. Reason for this review is that we feel the general care is slowly dropping and it would be a shame if your hotel would loose the attaractiveness it always had. I booked a room for two and found only 1 shampoo and 1 showergel in our bathroom, please arrange double set if a couple stays in the room.
