Great room, great bathproducts (smell gorgious), great spa area, very good breakfast, vety kind personnel in restaurant, in spa and at reception. Rooms very clean. Only 1 thing a have to complaint a little, was the temperature when we came first into our room, airco was max., as well as temperature in breakfast room in the morning, very much too cold for me.

Great food, service and facilities! A lovely hotel to enjoy a relaxing time ! Super spa area. The hotel is also close to the town centre where there are plenty of sights to see and places to eat typical German fare!

Excellent hotel with old-world charm. I had requested a quiet, top-floor, renovated room with a view and that was exactly what we had. The view over the park was lovely. Breakfast was outstanding with a very large assortment of food and the servers who brought beverages were friendly and efficient. Freshly-made egg dishes were a nice element. Front desk staff made an excellent restaurant selection for us and were also helpful in getting us to our car rental site. The hotel is an easy 10-minute walk into the center of this historic city with its many fascinating places to visit.

I booked the Prestige suite in this hotel for the last two days of my holiday and was looking forward to finishing our holiday on a "High". Instead, having initially booked online and then 'phoned over a week in advance of our stay to check everything to be reassured that my booking was on the system for a Prestige Suite, I was 'phoned the day before our planned arrival to be told that we would have to be downgraded to a Junior Suite as the hotel had double booked the Prestige Suite, and was this OK? No it was not OK. The room offered was tired, bare of furnishings and pictures, scuffed, with a settee that had seen better days and a bathroom that was small. Nothing like what we would have expected. The swimming pool is excellent and the dining room/restaurant has Michelin mention. The food was good. Sadly the experience did not match the food and the reception staff seemed unsympathetic. We ended the holiday on a "Low" having returned from the Black Forest on our journey back to the UK. The brief apology offered by the manager following my completion of the questionnaire seems rather unsatisfactory for Gold Card Accor Club status. I would have expected better.

« My booked Prsetige suite was given to someone else and I was downgraded. »

I had booked the Prestige suite online for 2 nights for Fri 2/6/17 and Sat 3/6/17 at the end of what was hoped to be a memorable holiday. I phoned the hotel a week in advance requesting that a roll away bed be provided for my daughter in the suite living room. I was reassured that this was no problem and my booking was apparent on their system. On Thursday 1/6/17 I was phoned on my mobile to be told that the room had been double booked and that I would be offered a Junior Suite instead with a complementary room for my daughter. I explained that this was a disappointment and that my online booking and subsequent telephone call had not suggested there were any problems. I was told that the guest using the room wanted to extend their stay. I was disappointed by the experience which, instead of producing a highlight at the end of my 9 day holiday produced a let down instead.

« Nice, relaxing stay »

Room was good, breakfast was very good (but a shame that you so often have problems with the waffle iron), staff very nice and helpful. I was quite disappointed by the spa treatments. They were not at all up to the hotel's normal standard. Especially the manicure was very poor.

#136 got large stains on the wall. The key card holder socket is damaged. Room key did not work. Breakfast spread was great - but expensive at 44 Euro for two pax.

We stayed for a wedding being held at the Rathaus in Aachen. The hotel is stunning and the rooms very luxurious and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent.

« Great service, but infrastructure not consistent with the brand. »

Although we felt well treated, our room was very disappointing. One of the chairs was badly stained, as was the carpet. The air conditioning did not work (and could not be made to work after we asked about it). So we ended up moving to a different room for the second night. That room had no stains, but was need of a face lift, having wall paper in the bathroom that was pealing away from the wall.

Need renovation , we was about to check out on the same day, my husband was in asthma and he feels worse I this hotel because of dust and old carpets .. rooms were big but very old ..hope to renovated

We booked a one night stay (second time). The room this time was excellent. Food at the restaurant was also very good. The spa is very good as well - with great saunas and swimming pool however the fitness area is lacking in equipment - e.g. free weights or kettle bells - which was a real down side.
