Experienced travellers know that choice of hotel is of paramount importance when visiting a large city. Is it easy to reach from the main points of arrival ? Is public transport readily accessible ? Is it close to a variety of restaurants for those times when time is of the essence ? Are the main city shopping and entertainment venues within reasonable walking distance ? (In London's case, one might nominate Regent St., Oxford St., Chinatown, Shaftesbury Ave., Covent Garden.) Should one of your family need medical attention, is there a 24 hour hospital close to hand ? Then there are the hotel staff and services : Are the staff well-trained ? Courteous and friendly without being overly familiar ? Knowledgeable about the city ? And what about the rooms : Are they well-equipped with storage space ? Is the bathroom spacious and well-designed, with clean modern shower facilities that don't require you to be a contortionist, or take your life in your hands clambering into a slippery bathtub ? Is the sound-proofing sufficient to block out the traffic noise, or neighbours arriving home late ? We spend several months a year staying in hotels, so my wife and I have tried a great many. Only one in London ticks every single box in our extensive list of requirements / desirements, namely, the Pullman London St Pancras. It is far and away our hotel of choice in London.

Lovely hotel and the room was clean. The dinner we in line with expectation and the breakfast superb. No welcome drink through my points tho and no points added. Disappointing aspect.

This reservation was due to me cancelling a previous reservation due to my father being diagnosed with cancer and me needing to take him to treatments. It is disappointing that the Pullman would not completely release me from my reservation.

The spare television didn’t work and after asking for it to be rectified three times still didn’t get it fixed over our stay. My son used his iPad. On check out I was left waiting fifteen minutes to get my bags from your baggage room. Another customer who came after me was attended to promptly and spoken to by three different members of your team. The service was poor to say the least. Each evening I went to your bar to purchase drinks and again was left waiting as you’re PDQ machine wasn’t in operation properly. Every single time this happened, I gave up in the end. My head office is five minutes from your hotel and my secretary normally books me into an adjacent hotel to yours. Obviously I shall not be returning, my work is all about service and staffing and was left with a poor feeling of your brand. The experience was very different in your Liverpool hotel where I found a completely different attitude. Regards Rod H.

Good facilities and location. Superb breakfast buffet. My main issue: although a good job has been done for sound proofing against external noise (room 207), one cannot say the same for noise coming from inside: room door let all noise from the corridor come in, thin walls means that one can hear TV and people speaking next door. Finally, I was not particularly impressed by the drilling going on a Saturday morning.

Decent hotel. Good location but service was not great. AC in room was not calling. Not fixed despite a couple of requests so had to endure an uncomfortable night. Luckily only there for one night.

Always a great stay at the Pullman My only complaint is the breakfast ‘greeter and seater’ was unfriendly and poor customer service. I waited a long time for coffee and when I asked her for coffee she was visibly annoyed. But staff on the receipt were great. The breakfast (apart from the service) was excellent. Sorry the sheets smelt and were dirty, don’t think they were changed. The room temperature couldn’t be lowered so I couldn’t go to sleep. It was a cramped room and I travel the world and stay in a lot of hotels. The sauna was broken so couldn’t use it. the bathroom exhaust was broken and there was this overall musty smell. Your carpets are an eyesore makes everything else look cheap.
