I booked a night for 2 with champagne, dinner and breakfast. I got prosecco in a bucket full of water and a checkout where I had to explain everything that wasn't correct (I was charged for champagne, the invoice had items we couldn't recognised, etc.)

From curb side to check in to housecleaning to check out, the staff at this hotel go above and beyond always. This hotel is beautiful, clean and the staff are so warm and welcoming and happy to help during my frequent and sometimes long business travels. A true home away from home.

Short day time stay, which we have used several times. Comfortable room on the top floor. Check in not brilliant as keys not worked first time and I had to descend to get replaced. Welcome drink very pleasant on a day when bar was busy with business travellers

First class staff, clean, good breakfast, nothing is too much trouble. These are the reasons that I return to your hotel time after time. I have one observation-you need to improve the delivery of the newspaper to the bedroom. This always used to work as a service but in recent visits (I would say the past four), it hasn't worked at all. So it is a consistent failure, which means there is something wrong with your system. Having said that, when I pointed this out to Reception, they sent the doorman out to obtain The Times and it was delivered to me at breakfast

Not bad but when husband asked for a pint of bitter at the bar, there was some confusion! Servers thought he wanted bitter lemon! Also so-called ‘music’ in bar area was far too loud so we could not avail ourselves of any drinks. We were not happy about this. Other than that, most things were fine.

The hotel was full, one lift was not working. The wait time was incredible. Rather than fix the lift a poster attempting humour was placed on each floor. Just fix it quickly. I think I saw three different doormen; not at any time did I see any of them lift a guest's bag; it was quite something else. GBP15.50 to simply turn the TV on to BBC or whatever; not the movies but simply to access TV; never heard of before. No 24 hour restaurant; bar food albeit reasonably extensive at non-meal time but well short of say the Magero across the road. No recognition of Platinum status; usually a room upgrade. Anyway you've lost me; tried it when it was Novotel and it didn't work and still doesn't.

Very good although: a) Bar prices are extremely high, I think they could be a little lower, especially for residents. b) One of the lifts wasn't working, which I understand. But please could you advise guests that there is a glass lift? For those of us with a fear of heights this is a major problem – it would demonstrate awareness of customer needs to mention this.

The location of Pullman hotel is very convenient to train station and the breakfast provided is the best so far I came across. However, the receptionists asked me to sign a blank credit slip due to the printing machine running out of inks. ( I never signed papers without knowing the amount to be paid)
