We didn't get our morning calls for two days in a row, resulting in the lost of monies we paid for two big tours and cost incurred for us to have to rebook replacements, the Hotel also provided us with the wrong information resulting in us not having the time to do the Whisky Masterclass for example. The billing was also a problem like when they said we could use our points to offset our dinner bill and when we went to the front desk to do so, we were told we cannot do so. They really are not capable of communication amongst themselves because everytime we communicate something, no one else seem to know it and the staff member, all of them are very condescending and very coy with their dealing with our predicaments and all they do is deniel and do nothing!

I have already provided a detailed review for the Pullman hotel site. Excellent breakfasts ! Friendly, helpful staff. No great issues other than a problem with the air conditioning (inability to provide significant recirculation of air or cool the room to the minimum 18 degC setting of the room thermostat). This issue was reported on checkout.

Please be advised that we have a centralised air cooling system which provides either cool or warm air according to the system's setting. Over the past few days the outside temperature fluctuated between 5 degrees at night and 17 degrees during the day, which is why the system was kept in winter mode. Stay was way above expectations. Especially for a large city and for its location. Only downside was the value proposition when compared to other large cities around the world. But it is unfortunately endemic of hotels in Europe in general and London in particular. We enjoyed Room 902. Seemed larger than others next to it on the floor. Good view; I imagine a higher floor would have better views of the city.

No great issues other than as outlined below. Breakfasts were excellent. Staff always pleasant. Once again the room air conditioning was less that acceptable - even with maximum fan speed (and one could easily hear the fan turning at its highest speed), there was virtually no air being circulated. With the thermostat set at the minimum 18 degC, the room temperature was always warmer. With the minimal opening of the window, most nights enough outside cool air was available but with street noise as well. This fault was reported to the reception desk on checkout. We are always willing to reuse our bathroom towels provided there is somewhere to allow them to dry during the day. However there was only one short towel rail at the end of the shower recess which did not allow two large bath towels to be adequately hung, let alone somewhere for the hand towels and the bathmat. We therefore had our towels changed each day which is not ecologically very desireable. For a room with a king-size bed, obviously designed for double occupancy, there was only a single chair. The 'chaise longue' was used to support our two cabin-sized suitcases since there was no other suitcase stand provided. The bed was reasonably comfortable but the matress far too easily transmitted movements of one occupant to the other. The doona would have been an ideal weight if the room temperature could have been cooled to 18 degC (see above) but as the room remained warmer, the doona was somewhat too heavy. Far better to have two side-by side single-king beds, each with its own doona. Although we were happy to drink the tap water, a small, free bottle of 'not-fancy' water would be a nice touch. Bought in bulk, such bottles would not impact your bottom line and would be atttractive to people who do not wish to either drink tap water or pay high prices for the bottled water you provide in your minibar! Finally, why does one side of the bed only have a switch for its tiny reading light whereas the other side has not only a switch for its tiny reading light but a 'master' switch which controls all the room lights, including the general light on the other side of the bed ! Each side of the bed should be able to control both the lights (i.e. 'reading' and 'general') on its own side.

The Pullman is my favourite hotel in the Euston-King's Cross region, which is the area of London in which I need to be when I come to visit, once or twice a year. I have ACCOR gold status, and requested early check-in following an overnight flight from Canada. I arrived just before noon, and the room wasn't ready. I was promised it would be placed on the priority list, and that I would receive a text when it was done. I can forgive the room not being ready, but not the fact that I was never texted, nor even informed ... and I was sitting in the lobby in full sight of the check-in agent, struggling to stay awake. Finally, in utter frustration I went back to the desk to request an update, and was told it had been ready for some time. Not a good start! If gold status means nothing, then why offer it?

Pullman is a surprisingly luxurious hotel. I have stayed at the hotel in Paris and London and both places was impressed with the quality of staff, facilities, food, and location. I kind of grumbled to my wife before my trip that work had booked me at a hotel right by the airport and right by a train station, but both places were one of my favorite hotels.

It would be nice to understand how to book room type to better meet my expectations. On my two last visits the room type has not been suitable for business travel. No real desk or chair in the room. Because I don't understand how to get a suitable room, I may not continue booking. I stay five - seven nights at a time and this has been an ongoing challenge.

While the room was beautiful, clean and comfortable with a fabulous view the staff were cold and unwelcoming. From our arrival struggling with luggage no help to loosing our booking and trying to charge a higher rate to now holding the added expense money which wasn’t used but won’t be released for a month!
