Fabulous position in Queenstown- quiet location away from the tourist madness, but within walking distance of everything. Very helpful staff. Rooms clean but a little tired, second bed made the room a bit cluttered. Would highly recommend.

Dear smlangman Thanks for your comments - you appear to have been allocated ( and therefore I would assume have booked) a standard room with 2 Double beds - we allocate rooms with a King Sized bed to those that book these. In some cases there is a small price difference and in some cases agents and guests will book the lead in rate category which happens to have 2 beds. It was good to hear that you enjoyed your stay and we do hope that you will come back to see us again some time. Regards Jim Moore General Manager

Staff very friendly and helpful. Personally I found the bedroom only adequate, quite dated really, especially for the rate charged I struggle with being charged this surcharge on top of what I find to be quite an expensive room rate in the first place

Overall the hotel provided very good amenities. Restaurant for breakfast buffet very good. Employee interactions very polite and service oriented. My room was a bit dark, facing the parking lot so couldn't leave the curtains opened. Otherwise all good. Would come back to the Novotel again.

Found staff to be helpful and pleasant. Location was ideal, near activities, shops and dining. Enjoyed the free cup of hot chocolate from the bar area and sitting around the fire place chatting. I do think, however, that some updating is necessary with the popcorn ceilings, and limited space on the vanity tops in the bathroom to place personal items.

« My experience with Novotel Lakeside Queenstown was wonderful »

The team from reception , to housekeeping, to food & beverage did everything they could to make our stay enjoyable . Our late night flight was cancelled & Toby the assistant manager found accommodation for us & provided the documents needed for my travel insurance . I would be happy to stay here again & recommend this hotel. It is right in the hub of town but far enough away so not to be noisy .

The reception staff were excellent to deal with, helpful and friendly. Just some minor issues that took the shine off the experience. I was down for work for the first night but stayed on for a couple more with my wife joining me for her first experience at the hotel.

Overall, a very good stay. Only concern was a charge of $250 put on room that was not incurred by us. When I questioned this charge it was removed. But there was no explanation of how it got there in first place. Odd???

Not good. I was on honeymoon and i was given 2 queensize beds in a room. Though at the time of booking it was mentioned by my agent to provide king size bed. For the same he got a reply as well that the room will be provided depending upon the availability. Though room was available but they were like you have to pay extra $80 per night. All requests for upgrades are subject to availability therefore may not necessarily be granted at all times. We do expect guests to reserve the room type they specifically want at the time of booking to ensure we are providing the room suitable to their needs and to not cause any inconvenience and disappointment on arrival. In saying this, upon arrival the room available was a completely different category and not just the difference in bedding configuration hence why there was the upgrade fee mentioned. Our Guest Relations Manager did provide a top floor room and amenities recognising that you have mentioned celebrating your honeymoon with us.
